chapter eight
Dear Teacher,
You were crying today. You thought no one saw it, but I did. You still look perfect when you cry. Your eyes are that dark blue, but they are more vulnerable during that time. There's no anger. I decided today that I don't like seeing you cry. I wish I could ask you what's wrong, but you still barely know me.
Luke did cry that day. Not once had it crossed Ashton's mind that he had caused such sadness. You see, Luke always attended church. He lived by the book and tried his best to stay away from temptation. It's what his mother would have wanted. As a result, Luke Hemmings refused to acknowledge the fact that he might be interested in men. It was wrong, he thought. The letters he kept getting were sinfully wrong. Ashton Irwin was sinfully wrong.
