My entry into the Saint Val's Contest 2022.

Few things I think you should note.

1. This is a short story. As per contest rules it won't exceed 3000 words.

2. This is going to be written by one of the characters from my ongoing novel, Like Stars At Night. No, you do not need to have read it to enjoy this short story but giving it a peek would be nice so you can understand the characters dynamic.

3. Don't plagiarise please.

4. Excuse the cliche title. It's a work in progress.

5. There will be mentions of characters from Like Stars At Night. Again, you do not need to have read it to understand this but it is advised.
