Alex walked around the halls of the school during lunch and she stared blankly at the walls, zoning out as she realized how tired she was. She never got too much sleep, but she got even less sleep last night because her nerves had already started manifesting and her brain didn't want to shut up so she ended up going to sleep at a late hour and waking up extremely early. Alex was walking in such a zombified state that she didn't realize where she was going until she was there. She came to a stop in front of the theatre bulletin board. Displayed right in the middle of the board was the callbacks list, and there was her name just below the top. It felt slightly surreal. Alex hadn't really expected a callback, but now that she had one she started thinking that maybe she could get the part of Gabriella.

Alex neglected to realize yet again that her feet had led her to another destination. She was standing right outside Mr. Benj's door. She raised her fist to knock but then thought better of it. He doesn't need to be bothered during his free period, and besides, you don't actually need him for anything. If you want someone to talk to, just go to the cafe. She reasoned. Alex began walking away from the classroom, but then Mr. Benj opened the door.

"Alex? I thought I heard someone out here," said Mr. Benj, good-naturedly. "What brings you to my class during lunch- again?"

"Sorry Mr. Benj, I was just leaving," Alex explained. Mr. Benj shook his head.

"No, come in, you're always welcome in the theatre!"

"If you're sure I won't be too much trouble."

"Of course not! Who would you be trouble to? I'm the only one here." Mr. Benj laughed, which then made Alex laugh as she ducked into the classroom.

"Thanks Mr. Benj." Alex smiled.

A/N: I'm sorry this chapter was so short!!! The next chapter is going to be from Mr. Benj's pov which I really enjoyed writing from and I hope y'all will enjoy it too!!!

I want to know who's pov you like the best so far or if there's someone's pov you would like me to write from! I know it's all third person except for the journal entries but when I say pov I just mean who gets the omniscient third person in that chapter for the most part :) I love getting feedback from people and it really motivates me to keep writing! I would also really like to know if the story is moving too slow because I'm really scared that it is so I'm so sorry if everything is moving too slowly!!! If you feel that it is please don't hesitate to tell me and I will do my best to fix it!!
