VERY SENSITIVE TOPIC!! (OPINON BASED)

This happened today..

A dude this... "What would happen if your best guy friend asked you to be his girlfriend?" in a joking matter.

I replied. "Well, to be honest, I only see him as a friend so I would reject him in a polite manner."

He frowned and asked again. "But don't you care about him? What if he suicides because you rejected him. Why won't you accept the confession instead?"

I got slightly irritated because I'm on my period and his reply. "I DO care about him but this is my reply and choice to reject him."

"Won't you feel sad if he dies?"

I felt like I wanted to slap him so I tried to calm myself before I go all out. "I will feel sad because he is my friend."

"Then accept it."

"I said no. If I tell you to eat cow shit and you obviously, you would reject but if continously annoy you to eat the cow shit until you say yes. How would you feel? Also isn't it the girl's choice to accept or not, am I correct?"

"....yeah, I guess you're right."

I just felt insulted at his last question since do I really need to have romantic feelings for my guy bestfriend in order to care for him?

I'd rather not and is it more hurtful if you lead him on???
