Dear Kim Taehyung,

Honestly, if I was an author on Wattpad writing this while procrastinating on her math and art homework due at midnight while it's 8:33 PM when it's not even started, I wouldn't know what to write.

But you looked at me with wide eyes.

"Rape?! Which bastard—"

I smiled at you, shushing you. "Well, do you accept to date me after that?"

You paused, looking incredulous.

My smile faded almost immediately. I really thought you would accept me.

Not even two seconds later, you smiled widely, bursting into laughter.

Any trace of happiness dropped from my face, and I hit your arms, realizing that I had been fooled and that it was a joke.

"Yah, Kim Taehyung!"

After a short amount of time, you finally stopped.

"But Jendeukie, what do you mean abuse and rape?"

I sighed, tucking my arms into my side.

"Well, when I was born as an only child, my parents and I were a happy family. But unfortunately, when I was two years old, my eomma was diagnosed with leukemia. When I was five, it took her life. Then, for five years, my appa and I moved to New Zealand, for a fresh start. That fresh start meant that my father would start abusing me. I had to hide my marks from my classmates.

"Then we moved here. It was truly a fresh start in my opinion. I went to middle school, where I made the friends of a lifetime; Jisoo-unnie, Chaeng, and Lalisa. But when I entered high school, the true demons began.

"That's when you started to bully me. It hurts, it hurt a lot. But I got used to it and then eventually, I grew feelings. Freshmen year, I was walking through a dark alley. There, a man kept on following me. I was naïve and didn't understand why he kept on following me. So imagine my surprise when he grabbed me by the arm and fought to get full control of my body.

"I really tried to get him off my arms, but that motherfucker kept on pulling on me. Do you know why I grew feelings for you? It's because you happened to see that scene and saved me. Do you remember? I fell for you after that.

"And now, we're here."

As I finished my story, I smiled. After this, a chapter of my life would close and another would begin.

"So," I turned to face you, "are you willing to date me now?"

You sat in silence for a moment, before looking at me with a smile.

"Of course, Jendeukie."

My gummy smile appeared and I pulled you in for a kiss.
