"You what?!", my laptop's speakers blasted with Vera's shriek. "Tell me you're absolutely kidding."
I nodded, "It's true."
"No way. No. Way.", Vera Lynn continued her screaming parade. "Please tell me that the paparazzi is not on our lawn right now."
"No, they are not.", I replied with a giggle. "It's just a day of spending time with him."
"Day of spending time with him.", she snickered. "A day of spending time, a day of time, a day of, a day, day, day...te. Date."
I tried my best not to fangirl and giggle along with her.
Well, I've already done that last night, barely slept through it all, and I think I've ran out of the fangirling feeling.
Wait, nope.
"It's just... I don't know!", I told her.
I just spent almost two hours on trying to explain to her what had happened, from the very first letter, 'till the last e-mail. She basically lost it when she found out that Dad accidentally mailed them all.
"Does Dad know this?", she asked me.
I shook my head, "He doesn't, but it's his fault. I wouldn't have done this without him."
It was around midnight there in London, and Vera had just returned from a study session with a few of her friends. She had told me a lot about her new life there, and so far she was happy, and she felt like she belonged to the group.
"I've also been seeing someone," she said out of the blue. "I do not know how he feels, but all I know is that I feel special to him."
"Really? I need to know the name.", I pressed my face into the screen of my laptop, like a real smooth stalker.
Vera rolled her eyes, "I never keep secrets from you, now do I?"
"Even now you shouldn't.", I pressed on.
"Avery," she said with a deep breath. "His name is Avery."
"Dreamy?", I asked, fangirling for her in my mind.
Her gray eyes wandered off, and it only took me that sign to know that my sister was in love.
I wish she could see that in me as well...
But truly, now that I've seen Jack... I don't think it was truly love that I felt. It was getting there, but not there, yet.
"He's everything that I wanted.", she smiled, getting back to her senses. "And everything that I'm not."
"So, he's a total slob?"
"A beautiful, obnoxious slob, indeed.", she sighed.
We talked a bit more, until my e-mail tab on my browser suddenly bleeped. The tab's always present, and I never deleted it.

Hey Angel,
Your surprise is waiting for you.
Waiting here,

I guess Vera Lynn noticed my smile in the camera, so she said, "Go on. Leave your sister. Go run away with your nice popstar, Hottie McHotterson boyfriend."
"He's not my boyfriend!", I squealed.
"Yet.", she giggled.
I gave her an annoyed look, but inside, I was soaring up to the sky in happiness.
Vera laughed, "It's okay, Els. You can go now."
"You sure?", I asked her.
She yawned, "Yeah, I need to sleep. Good night, Els. I love you."
"Love you, too, Veer."
When she logged off, I felt a sudden rush of emptiness inside me. Truly, I missed her so much, but we've been hanging off quite nicely at home. Anna's been less of a pain, and I managed to get Daddy off his work during Saturdays.
But then, all those lonely feelings went away in a flash when I recalled that e-mail on the other tab in my browser.
Should I reply?

I was flying at the set. Not seriously flying, but I felt like I was moving faster than I ever was before.
I wanted everything to be perfect, and by the looks of it, I hope she will enjoy what I planned out for the rest of the day.
Totally simple. I'm not taking her out on helicopter rides to Paris, or anything.
Just something really interesting to do here in the set.
"Are these alright, 'mate?", Hiccup entered the trailer, carrying a crate of apples.
"Yup, perfectly fine.", I said. "Now help me peel 'em."
"Aw, why me?", he whined.
"'Cause the director's going to call me out any minute, and I need this to be done before Elsa gets here."
"Ah, I figured out this would be for her.", he chuckled.
I pushed his arm as he laughed.
"Please," I said again. "I really need your help on this."
"Yeah, sure.", he started peeling an apple. "But if you don't date her after this, I'm going to kill you."
I laughed, "I will."
Back at the set, a few people were touching up Deandra's make up, as usual. She caught sight of me, and flashed a red-lipped smile, "Hey, Jack!"
"Hi.", I replied, not really knowing what to reply to her.
"So, do you have any plans for today?", she smiled again, but this time, batting her long fake eyelashes.
I know where this is going, "Yeah, I do."
"Well, there's this pretty exclusive restaurant here, and I was hop-"
"Nah. No thanks, Deandra. I got my day fully booked.", I cut her off.
Boy, she was surprised. I bet no one really does turn down Deandra Paisley.
Except for me, though.
There are only very few people that I just couldn't resist.

Around two in the afternoon, I finally picked out the outfit to wear. He didn't really say anything about fancy restaurants, or a beach swimming thing... so I wore some usual stuff of mine. White high waist shorts, and a flowy top should do... plus a thin rose crown.
Okay, those weren't usual, but I wanted to look special.
As the awesome fangirl I am, I quickly figured out where the set currently was, even though it was some sort of top-secret hiding spot of the management. I soon caught sight of Jack, who was completely off-guard, and waved back at me.
"You look beautiful" was the first thing he said. He ran his fingers through his hair, like he always does. And like always, it made me fall into the hole over and over again, getting deeper and deeper every time.
I shrugged, and replied the dumbest thing ever, "Thanks."
"We're not really going anywhere else other than the set.", he said. "Just wanted to tell you that, in case you were expecting anything. You can totally leave right now, if you want."
"Would I?", I replied with a smile. "Even if I've seen this place a thousand times already, it feels like it's the very first time I've gone here when I'm with you."
He smiled again, knowing that he passed another "This-is-what-a-date-should-be" item in the list, "Cool. First off, we eat."
We entered a trailer, a food trailer as I presume. It was bigger in size than the other trailers, but it did manage to fit in a whole gourmet kitchen in that little mobile space.
There was also a bar, and stools for two... nothing totally romantic right now.
Soon, Hiccup popped out of the refrigerator, carrying a bouquet of red roses...
Wait, are those apple roses?
"Happy birthday, Elina.", Hiccup laughed as he handed me the edible 'roses'.
"Um, thanks?", I replied.
Jack pushed him, "What the hell, man?!"
"I'm just playing with you, mate.", Hiccup laughed even harder. "Chill."
"That was so not cool.", Jack replied.
To me he said, "Sorry that my friend's such an ass."
I laughed along with Hiccup, "I think I already know that."
"How much do you know about me, fangirl?", Hiccup asked, testing my mental fangirl database.
I stepped forward, "Hadden Christopher 'Hiccup' Haddock. Nineteen years of age. Astrid Claire Hofferson is the girlfriend. Has two siblings, Hannah and Harold. Originally from Reading, Pennsylvania, but now resides in California in Sunset Driv-"
"Okay, enough!", Hiccup cut me off. "You might give away my address to the press, and to the fangirls."
I rolled my eyes, "Fangirls, you say?"
"How on earth do you get all of these information?", Hiccup asked, turning to Jack. "Does she know that much of you, too?"
"Well, there's still a lot of things that I keep in secret.", Jack replied with a wink to me.
I tried to not giggle, and I did so quite perfectly, "We have a very nice fangirl database. I think we have an FBI agent who is a Frostie."
"Now I'm seriously scared," Hiccup raised the both of his hands. "I'm out. Enjoy, you two!"
Once Hiccup left, Jack and I were rummaging through the pantry of the food trailer.
"You mean you have nothing but apple roses?", I asked him, checking the stuff inside the fridge. There were some frozen fish, frozen chicken, a block of tofu... Basically, there was nothing that was ready to eat.
Jack ruffled his hair in frustration, "Goddammit, I knew I forgot something!"
After a few minutes of raiding the pantry, we dumped all the food that we dubbed 'can-eat' down on the bar table.
Pepero almond sticks, Nutella, and two cans of Cherry Coke.
"Will do.", I laughed as I sat down on the stool.
Jack frowned, "This is seriously not what I planned... Well, actually, I forgot to plan, so I'm real sorry."
"Hey, it's fine.", I smiled, snapping a petal from my apple rose bouquet. "This was fun."
"I feel awful.", he sighed. "I don't usually mess up when I'm trying to impress a girl."
I said stop, heart!
"You don't actually need to do much to impress me...", You've won my heart already.
He smiled, again, and I just wish he would never stop doing that.
He took my hand, "Good thing you're so easy to smile..."
I've been smiling? Just great.
After a few minutes of just staring at each other, and utterly drooling at his 'Calvin' clothes, I spoke out, "So, what's next?"
"Well, there's the costume trailer.", he smirked.
"This is crazy!", I yelled at the multiple-shelved wall showcasing the entire shoe collection for 'Ruby', the girl in the movie who Deandra is playing. "Does she get to wear all of these?"
"Ruby is only seen with three pairs of shoes," Jack commented. "But Deandra wants to be seen in at least twenty pairs of shoes throughout our stay here in North Carolina."
"Wow." was all I could say.
"Please," he laughed. "You haven't seen her clothes rack- err, trailer, I mean."
So, it turns out that there was a complete separate trailer for all of Deandra Paisley's clothing. All but her shoes are there, since the whole trailer was so jam-packed with clothes that barely two people can fit inside. Also, it was locked, so we didn't get to see where Deandra makes her 'magic' happen.
I picked up a brown bomber jacket from the trailer's rack, "Calvin wears this?"
"No, I wear that.", Jack said. "Calvin's a dork."
"Now, how do I live with that spoiler?", I pouted.
He laughed, "I bet you already know everything about the movie."
Indeed, I did.
"Well, you got me.", I said. "But isn't it hard to play as a dork?"
"Don't you think I'm a complete dork as I am?", he smirked, trying out the bomber jacket just picked out.
A handsome, crazy dork, yes.
"Say something, Elsa.", he snapped me out of my trance.
I felt the heat rushing up to my cheeks, and I feel like I'm red as ever.
He smiled again, making my heart beat faster, as if he was doing this on purpose to tease me.
"You're cute, you know that?", he quietly said.
Instead of blushing again, I managed to be nonchalant, "How can I forget when you remind me of it every day?"
"Good.", he flashed another smile. God, help me.
"I don't want you to forget that you're beautiful.", he added. "'Cause you really are, and it would be a shame if you didn't know."
The walk back to my house felt like the slowest thing I've ever done in my life. And I wanted to keep it that way... I never wanted this to end...
"I had the best day with you," I said, looking into his eyes. It wasn't late out, so the North Carolinan sunset hit his irises at the perfect spot to make me fall more. "Really. Thanks, Jack."
"Anything for you, angel.", he replied with another one of his heart/mind/soul melting smiles...
Angel... I could get used to that.
We stopped right in front of my house, knowing what to do, but not knowing whether or not we should do so.
"So...", he scratched the back of his head. "Can I see you again tomorrow?"
"I was thinking the same, too.", I admitted.
"Well, maybe you can plan it this time.", he said. "So we can have something to actually eat."
I laughed, "Yeah, after work, I'll show you around town."
"Great.", he said. "I'll pick you up around four... Sound good?"
"Perfect.", I replied.
Silence filled us once again, but somehow we ended up standing next to each other even closer than before.
I stared into his eyes, and he was also staring at mine... Then my eyes fell to his lips.
He did so, too.
And, the unexpectedly expected happened.
Jack planted a soft, gentle kiss on my lips... not at all harsh, but sweet, and filled with so much happiness that I couldn't even comprehend.
He pulled away before I could even kiss back, saying, "Sorry... I just couldn't take it slow."
"We have the whole summer, Jack.", I smiled.
"I know," he replied. "But when I'm with you, I just couldn't help myself."
Before he could add another sentence, I kissed him in the way he did, which he quickly replied to, wrapping his arms around my waist.
My mind completely went blank, as if the world around me didn't exist, and it was just me and him in the void of the earth.
When we pulled away, he just had this handsome smile again on his face, but this time, I felt pure happiness surging from it.
"I can't say I'm in love, yet, Jack.", I said.
Indeed, I didn't know what I was feeling right now
He took his hand in mine, "Well, like you said, we'll always have this summer."
Jack wrapped his arms around me one more time before leaving me at the front of my house...
As I turned around to go inside, I noticed the red flag on our mailbox was hanging up... I opened the mailbox to see a letter...
A letter from Robin.
