Vengeance

The test was finally concluded. The students, as instructed, found themselves back on the field where they started while they awaited on Mr. Yoshioka's debriefing. The field was brightly illuminated by stadium lights as the sky was a star-filled inky blackness, with a silver-white crescent moon resting on it. The students' moods were different from when they began as they were quieter and apathetic, an apparent effect of their extreme fatigue.

A chilly breeze blew past (Y/n) and she shivered. Her nose twitched with an invisible itch and she sneezed. Sniffling, she hugged herself and rubbed her hands up and down the sides of her arms to warm herself up. Recently the nights have been getting colder, which meant that winter was just around the corner.

The girl felt a pair of eyes on her and she whipped her head to the boy standing next to her. Katsuki was staring at her. He observed how she held herself and for a moment he looked like he was about to say something but instead turned away with a low 'hmph'.

Disregarding him with a shrug, (Y/n) faced back in front to where Mr. Yoshioka had stepped forward to start the debriefing.

"Evening students," he greeted in a voice gentle yet loud enough to reach the farthest student.

"Evening sir," the students replied in tandem, tone lethargic and slow.

"Let me start by saying that it has been one long and hard day," the man brushed his palms together. "You're all tired, we're tired, therefore I'll make this quick so we can all be dismissed and go home to rest. First and foremost," he held out his arms. "I want to extend a hand of gratitude to each student for taking part in the exercise and for your full cooperation."

"Out of the forty pairs that went into the simulation rooms, only thirty managed to finish on time. Out of the ten who didn't make it, three pairs were disqualified due to severe injuries and or both partners falling unconscious. Two of the pairs were from Isami while the remaining pair, from U.A," he cracked a small smile and put his hands together. "This is very encouraging news as it shows that a great number of you were not only determined to overcome the challenges in your room but you also took this practice seriously. And it is with great hope that you gained something out of this experience because we are all here to learn and be better heroes in the future."

"Alright then," he took out a remote from his pocket and stepped aside. "Without further ado, let's see the results."

He pressed a button and a large holographic table appeared next to him, displaying the pairs' positions and points. Low murmurs arose from the students as they checked out the results.

(Y/n) covered her mouth and yawned while her eyes skimmed through the list for a specific name. They stopped upon landing on his name.

Ah, Izuku and Mina...fourth place. Followed by Todoroki and Kirishima. They only had a difference of ten points between them, not bad. She nodded to herself before squinting. Let's see...Isami pair, Isami pair-oh, there's a pair from our school. Tsunotori and Monoma at number eight and coming up at number ten, Tetsutetsu and Kendou. Pushing out air from her nose, the corner of her mouth twitched in amusement. Damn, Kirishima wasn't joking around when he said that nearly all the top positions were held by Isami pairs.

(Y/n) continued skimming down the list before she went back up to where her name and Katsuki's were. She then saw it, right under hers: Satori's name.

Her smile faded, her lips drawing in a straight line.

"As you can see, some of you received bonus points," Mr. Yoshioka gestured towards the list with his remote. "These points were calculated according to; the traits being checked on, if the theme of the room was observed and if you and your partner finished together. For example, the pair in first place, (L/n) and Bakugou."

Some of the students' heads snapped to the mentioned pair. Shifting her weight from one foot to the other, (Y/n) lightly grimaced at the unwanted attention and her hands tightened around herself.

"They received 200 bonus points which, added to their garnered points, totaled to 1628. But to save on time," he turned to the students. "I won't go into detail about how we graded you and your partner to award you the bonus points. That will be done by your class teachers," he pressed another button. "Moving on, let's find out who won today's test."

The list on the hologram was switched out for another table, this time displaying both U.A's and Isami's name while numbers randomly interchanged below them.

"Calculating all points gathered by both pairs from each school...Ah, there it is," the numbers at the bottom of the names came to a standstill. "U.A received a total of 34567 while Isami received a total of 34297," the man flashed an elated grin at the students. "Well, there you have it; our winner for today's test is U.A!"

Quiet hisses of 'yes' and whoops erupted from some of the U.A. students, mixed with the disappointed groans and sighs from Isami students. Someone tapped (Y/n)'s shoulder from behind and she looked over her it at the hand's owner. She recognized him to be Awase from class 1-B. He gave her a thumbs up along with a boyish grin and she reciprocated with a smile.

"No long faces now," a feminine voice spoke up.

The students' attention turned to the new speaker, Mr. Oshima. The bespectacled man held his hands together while he spared some of his students a sympathetic smile.

"It was a stiff competition and all of you fought hard," he said. "The only difference was two hundred and seventy points, which is not much but still makes for quite the gap. Besides, there's always a second chance to get revenge," he held out his arms. "You all worked hard and that's all that matters now. Forget the numbers, all you have to focus on is how much you have improved and what you have learned from this. Is that correct?"

"Yes, sir."

"Good. So, chin up, okay?" he then turned to U.A's teachers, who had been standing farther apart from them while silently observing. "Is there anything else you want to add?"

The two men shook their heads and Mr. Oshima turned back to the students.

"Alright then. That concludes our debriefing. If anyone has a question, please inquire from a teacher privately so that we don't delay the others. Any more information will be provided tomorrow by your respective class teachers. For those with serious injuries, please head to the nurse's office to get treated," his smile widened. "Again, thank you for coming to our school, students of U.A. It has been a pleasure to host you. You may now head for the changing rooms. You only have one hour to shower and change. Complimentary towels will be provided for the U.A students. The buses for both schools will be waiting for you in the parking lot. Don't drag yourself," he clapped his hands once. "You're dismissed!"

"Yes sir!"

With this, the students started to disperse for the changing rooms. Unwrapping her hands around herself, (Y/n) loudly sighed as she turned to follow the crowd. She didn't say anything else to Katsuki nor was she able to as the boy had been ambushed by Kirishima and Kaminari the second they were dismissed and dragged off to God knows where.

The girl raked her hand through her hair and pulled back her hand. Her face contorted at the sight of tiny dirt clumps and grass reeds on her fingers. She made a mental note to start with her hair when she got into the shower.

"Hey, (Y/n)!" two voices called out to her from behind.

Halting, (Y/n) looked up and over her shoulder at the two girls waving while approaching her. Her lips quirked up in a smile.

"Hey Kendou, Tokage," she waved back.

The two girls caught up to her and they continued with their journey back to the changing together, with (Y/n) in the middle.

Tokage gave her a once over before chuckling. "You know, for a winner, you really let yourself go."

(Y/n) glimpsed down at herself before snorting out a short laugh. "Well, while in a jungle, self-grooming isn't particularly in the cards."

"Oh?" Tokage rose a suggestive brow and rested her elbow on (Y/n)'s shoulder. "Is that where you and screamlord were?" she smirked while waggling her eyebrows. "You two have a good time going all Tarzan and Jane on each other?"

"Tokage," Kendou scolded her while sending her a playful glare. "Stop teasing."

Laughing, Tokage raised her hands in surrender and (Y/n) giggled.

Shaking her head, the brunette then turned to (Y/n). "What she meant to say was congratulations on your win and for putting U.A in first place."

"Thanks," (Y/n) grinned. She then asked as an afterthought. "So, which rooms were you guys in?"

"I was sent to a blizzard room with Tsuburaba," the dark-green haired female answered first as she put her hands behind her head. "We had to rescue some lost scientists stuck in a snow storm."

(Y/n)'s brows rose in interest. "Oh, wow. Sounds challenging..."

Katsuki wasn't listening to what the four idiots were talking about. His eyes and mind were glued on (Y/n)'s back, who he had been watching from a distance behind them. Ever since getting out of the simulation room, they haven't spoken to each other and that fact gnawed at him. And not because he didn't want to say something but because he didn't know what to say to her. Most especially now that they had won first place after she had agreed to get out together.

It just further served to multiply his guilt, as if he didn't fucking hate himself enough already.

Clicking his tongue, he reluctantly pulled his sights away from her, only for them to conveniently land on the back of Satori's head. She was further ahead from them and was with two girls he'd never seen before. He scowled, now more pissed off after seeing her. He was about to look away when he caught her casting a glance at (Y/n).

He looked from Satori to (Y/n) then back. (Y/n) hadn't seen Satori looking at her since she was busy talking to the two extras from class 1-B but he definitely did.

His eyes narrowed at the back of Satori's fat head.

He knew that hag all too well to know that she was going to pull some bitch move once they were in their changing room. Whatever it was though, it wasn't his fucking problem. All he had to do was to trust that (Y/n) wouldn't pussy out like she always does and keep her end of the deal. And as much he would've preferred to have a front-row seat for Hanabitch's beat down, he'll just have to settle on using what's in his arsenal.

"Oi, raccoon eyes."

Mina, who was walking next to him, shifted her focus from Sero's story to Katsuki.

"What's up?" she curiously inquired.

"Keep an eye out for when Hanabitch goes up to (Y/n), got it?" he said without looking at her but the underlying tone in his gruff voice left no room for argument.

"Uh..." the girl's brows furrowed before she hesitantly nodded. "Yeah. Sure thing."

Turning away from him and back to Sero, she pinched her lips together. What an odd request.

The changing room, in contrast to when they were back on the field, was a different atmosphere altogether. Laughter, overlapping conversation, running water, and the slamming of locker doors reigned dominant within the girls' changing room.

The students from Isami and U.A indulged each other in recounting their experiences within their given simulation rooms and the challenges they faced with their partner. The stories ranged from exciting to downright terrifying.

Among these storytellers, were (Y/n) and Mina. The two girls stood in front of their lockers, both showered and dressed back into their school uniforms. Mina was done changing and had taken that given opportunity to narrate her experience to (Y/n), who was drying her clean, wet hair.

"-and Midori was like "I'm gonna need those keys, warden" and then 'pow!'" Mina explained with fervor while she thrust up her knee, "-he hits him with a jump kick then 'slam!'" she punched her fist in the air. "-falcon punch! And I was like melting the ground behind him so that he can get his foot trapped then 'bam!'" she clapped her hands together. "-he's trapped!"

(Y/n) chuckled at her childlike enthusiasm and gently squeezed her hair with her towel. "Really?"

Mina nodded and resumed her story. (Y/n) fondly smiled when she got to the part where they defeated the warden. It was interesting to listen to her experience, especially the parts about Midoriya fighting. There was something about Midoriya getting serious that always turned her on. It was a weird secret, one that she swore to take to the grave.

"Sounds like you guys had fun," she said after Mina came to the end of her story.

"Fun?" Mina parroted, her eyebrows and voice rising. "You know, I am seriously convinced that we got the worst room. We had to escape this large prison that had levels and don't get me started on the prisoners and the prison wardens. God," she threw a hand in the air while rolling her eyes. "I swear Mr. Oshima got the idea from some anime somewhere."

(Y/n) turned the towel over to a dry part before continuing to blot her hair. "But you guys got fourth place, which is a good position considering both second and third was held by Isami pairs."

"I guess it is," the pink-haired female shrugged and scratched her head. "But the only reason we got that position was because we finished early and together. We weren't able to defeat all the wardens and prisoners and had to escape some of them," she released a dejected sigh and dropped her hand. "I feel like Midori chose to do that because of me. I mean, in terms of strength and power, he outmatches me and he wasn't able to fully focus on the fights because a part of him was concerned about me. I held him back from getting more points..."

"Hey," (Y/n) frowned and placed a hand on Mina's shoulder. "Don't say that. You weren't holding him back because you helped in any way you can and that's what matters. Plus..." she trailed off, a wistful smile appearing on her face as her mind lingered on Midoriya's sweet and kind nature. Her chest squeezed.

Fuck, she missed that boy so much.

"He's not the type to think like that," she finished once she pulled herself out of her thoughts. "You know that."

Mina's shoulder lifted in an unsure shrug. "I guess..."

"Yeah," the girl patted her shoulder. "So cheer up, okay?"

Mina took in a deep breath before she broke out in a grin.

"Okay," she said with an exhale.

(Y/n) chuckled and resumed drying her hair.

"Hey, (Y/n)."

The two girls turned to Uraraka, who appeared next to them, in her hands a shampoo bottle.

(Y/n) beamed. "Hey."

"Thanks for the shampoo," the brunette handed it back to (Y/n). "It smells really nice!"

"You're welcome," taking back the shampoo, she threw it inside her open bag, which laid inside her locker.

"You look better now."

"I feel better now," (Y/n) turned back to Uraraka and blew out her cheeks. "God, I can't wait to get back and sleep."

"Same here," Mina said as she stretched her arms above her head. "I'm so hungry too. I wonder whose turn it is to cook dinner today."

Uraraka pressed a finger to her chin. "I guess it's Iida's turn."

The pink-haired female snorted and patted her stomach. "Then he better be ready to cook a whole feast once we're back."

"For real," Uraraka sighed heavily while plopping down on the bench next to them. Whining, she leaned her weight back on her hands and tipped her head.

"What's wrong?" (Y/n) asked, concern in her voice.

"I'm so tired. The room we got was so haaaard," she drawled out.

"Which one did you say it was?"

"The fight simulation room Mr. Oshima was talking about way earlier," she lowered her head. "Ojiro and I had to fight a lot of people in a ring. In the end, Ojiro passed out from exhaustion and I had to carry him out of the simulation room," she frowned and lightly kicked the air. "We got penalized for that...and got twelfth place."

(Y/n) sucked in air through her teeth and exchanged looks with Mina. "Harsh."

"I know right?" Uraraka agreed. "Mr. Oshima really went all out with those rooms, huh?"

"I swear, they get crazier and crazier," Mina chortled and folded her arms across her chest. "I heard a girl say that they got the dinosaur age room and they had to fight like t-rexes and stuff. Man, I would've killed to get that room," her eyes then fell on something behind (Y/n) and her smile disappeared. "Oh, Hanabe."

(Y/n)'s eyes widened and she whirled around to face Satori. Upon making eye contact with her, Satori mouthed the word 'hi' with a fake smile.

She had taken her hair out of her twin tails, allowing her black with white highlights locks to cascade down her back. She was still in her hero costume and had a bandage wrapped around her left arm, which meant that she had passed by the nurse's office first before coming down to the changing room.

Feeling her good mood already starting to plummet, (Y/n) broke off the eye contact and bunched up her towel before harshly tossing it into her locker.

Satori leaned to the side to send the girls a look. "Can you girls give us a moment alone?"

Mina glanced at (Y/n) before nodding. "Sure, yeah."

She grabbed Uraraka's wrist and pulled her to her feet. She dragged the brunette to the other corner of the changing room before letting her go to take out her phone from her pocket. Double tapping on the screen to light it up, she tapped on the camera icon.

She made sure that there were no indecently dressed girls in the shot before pressing 'record'.

Uraraka tore her concerned gaze away from the two girls to Mina. Her eyebrows furrowed upon seeing what she was doing. "Huh, what? Why are you recording them?"

"Something tells me that I'm gonna need to get this on video," Mina said, her eyes not once derailing from her phone's screen.

(Y/n) finished packing up the last of her stuff into her bag before zipping it up. She then turned to Satori with an impatient look. "So, are you just gonna continue standing there? I thought you had something to say to me."

"Okay, wow," Satori crossed her arms across her chest. "Hello to you too?"

The female slowly sized her up. "What do you want?"

Satori's expression pinched as if she had just been asked a stupid question.

"Duh, I'm here to congratulate my best friend for winning first place," she scoffed. "First no greeting then a rude attitude. Gosh, what medieval world do you live in?"

(Y/n) set her lips in a sour line.

"Look, if you have nothing else to do than bother me, then I'll just leave because I don't want to talk to you anymore," (Y/n) slid her bag out of the locker and slung its strap over one shoulder. She then bent down to grab her costume's briefcase from the ground and straightened up to send her a tight nod. "Goodbye."

Not bothering to close her locker door, she turned around to leave Satori by herself.

"I'm not done yet."

Freezing in her steps, (Y/n) closed her eyes with a resigned sigh. Gently, placing her briefcase back down, she turned back around with a 'what' look.

"I'm also here to fix things between us, okay?" Satori said.

(Y/n)'s eyes widened slightly, her interest piqued.

"At first, I was planning on not talking to you again for like a month but after thinking about it, I had an epiphany," Satori tossed her hair behind her and jutted out her hip. "I figured that tensions were high and we weren't thinking straight. I said some words, you said some words, we were both acting out on our emotions and I don't want that to get between us. And because I love you so much," she placed a hand on her chest and smiled. "I decided why not let bygones be bygones and give you another chance."

(Y/n)'s pressed her lips tight. Of course.

"Wow, Satori," she said dryly. "That's really...thoughtful of you."

Satori's smile widened. So easy.

"Awe, honey," she gently cooed as she took both of (Y/n)'s hands in hers. "I'm only doing it for you," she raised both their hands a bit and squeezed. "I mean, would I be your Lifeline if I wasn't?"

(Y/n) stared down at their hands with an indecipherable expression. She never noticed it before but every time Satori wanted her to tell her something or convince her about something, she'd always hold her hand or both. She was so used to seeing that sight so many times that she never questioned it. It was innocent and she always thought nothing of it. If only she knew back then what she knew now, then she would've realized that underneath that simple gesture, held a motive.

It was quite funny and ironic how the person she believed to be the human version of a migraine opened her eyes to the actions of the person who she trusted the most to have her back.

She looked up from their hands to Satori. Curling her fingers around Satori's hands, she squeezed back and she smiled.

"You know what? You're right. I wasn't being fair to you as your best friend. You were only looking out for me and I..." she trailed off with a sigh. Her smile slipped into a frown and she hung her head.

"Hey, hey it's okay," Satori let go of her hand to place her fingers under (Y/n)'s chin and raised her head. "You don't have to explain anything because I forgive you. You had a moment of weakness because Bakugou was involved and I honestly can't blame you for that. He was your first love or-" she rolled her eyes, her upper lip slightly twitching. "-whatever so obviously you still have some kind of...connection to him."

A ghost of a smile playing on her lips, (Y/n) nodded.

"That's a good girl," Satori took hold of (Y/n)'s other hand once more and brushed her thumbs over her knuckles. "Now tell me, did he do something to you while in your room?"

The female shook her head. "No. Not really," she paused to take in a deep breath and shrugged. "He was just mean to me and stuff...and I-"

"You see? This is what I've been telling you all these years," cutting her short, Satori let go of her hands to rest her hands on her hips. She let out a mix between a sigh and a groan. "He's never going to change. He's scum, he's garbage. He has the personality of an ingrown toenail, annoying and fucking painful to deal with. And even after defending him, he still-ugh," she dramatically turned her face away from the girl, her fingers pressed her to her forehead. "I can't say it."

(Y/n) released the inside of her cheek, which she had been biting for a while. Her lips twisted into a frown. "Say what?"

"No, no (Y/n)," she dismissed her with a wave. "I can't tell you, it's best you ignore."

(Y/n) drew closer and angled her head to meet her eyes. "No, tell me," she gently grabbed Satori's arm and squeezed. "Please."

Facing her again, the grey-eyed female sighed and nodded.

"After you went out of the changing room, I went to confront him," she held her hands together in front of her chest and gave her a sheepish look. "You know how I get when you're involved. I was so angry over what he's been doing to you so I confronted him and then he-he grabbed my collar. Here," she leaned closer to (Y/n) and tugged at her costume's collar. "See those burn marks?"

(Y/n) silently studied the scorch marks. It definitely looked like Katsuki's handiwork, no doubt. It was unmistakable.

"He did that?" she asked in a hushed tone, a pained look on her face.

"Yeah," Satori nodded before taking a step back. "And then he said these awful things about you. That he didn't need someone pathetic like you defending him and that the only reason he's been putting up with you is because he thought he could take you from Freckles," she shook her head with a sigh. "It was so hard to listen to him, (Y/n). He also said that you're starting to be a bother to him..."

(Y/n) felt her stomach sink and a wave of nausea churned in her gut. Feeling her throat tightening up, her chin dipped to her chest and she gripped at her elbow. Her chin trembled and she screwed her eyes for a moment to keep the flow of tears from coming. She chewed on her lip.

Don't cry, (Y/n). Don't.

The girl's eyes opened with a silent gasp and she stared down at the ground with her blurry vision. Her nails dug into her elbow and she took a sharp breath.

It's not worth it. It won't solve anything. Be strong.

Satori's eyes softened and she stepped closer to the girl. She cupped her cheeks and lifted her head. Her eyes slightly widened, her heart clenching at the sight of (Y/n)'s teary yet dead eyes.

It was like all the light had been sucked out from her spirit. But it was fine, because she was there to restore it. That's how it has always been and that's how it was supposed to be. Build, destroy, rebuild, and repeat.

Satori pouted and brushed her thumbs over (Y/n)'s cheeks.

It was okay if she was the one who did it though. Because (Y/n) was hers and sometimes when a building became faulty, you just have to knock down some walls so that you can upgrade it. It was tedious on her part and painful on (Y/n)'s part, but it was part of the process. (Y/n) needed her around. Without her, she was weak and won't be able to stand up for herself. But that's only she had conditioned her that way. So that she can depend on her and never not need her.

She was her Lifeline. There was no way (Y/n) would want to lose her.

"Come here darling," the dark-haired girl wrapped her hands around (Y/n) and pulled her in for a hug. "What he said wasn't true...you're not a bother," nestling her chin on (Y/n)'s shoulder, she closed her eyes and rubbed her back. "You're my best friend. You don't need him. You never have because I'm here and I'll always be. I'd never do something like that to you. You know that right?"

(Y/n) stared at the wall behind Satori, her arms limp at her sides and a shadow cast over her eyes. She stayed like that for a couple of seconds before her lips curved up in a smile and she hugged her back.

Satori's grey eyes flew open and she smirked. So very easy. "Are you okay now?"

"Yeah, thanks to you, I finally know the truth," (Y/n)'s arms tightened around Satori's shoulders and she buried her fingers into Satori's hair. She combed her fingers through the soft hair, commiting the feeling to her memory. "Remember when you said that when things get worse I cry and run away instead of dealing with my problems?"

Satori cocked a puzzled brow. "Yeah?"

"Hey, Satori?"

The girl hummed in response.

"Grit your teeth."

Satori's eyes bugged out when (Y/n)'s fingers tightened in her hair and her head was painfully yanked back.

Grunting, (Y/n) shoved her head into the open locker beside her and slammed the door around Satori's head. The girl yelped out in pain but (Y/n) wasn't done yet. Pulling the door open, she yanked Satori's head out by her hair and banged the door shut. She then slammed Satori's forehead against the metal door with enough force to dent it. Clicking her tongue, she shoved the female aside and released her grip on her hair. Satori fell against the bench that was beside them, toppling it over as she went down with a heavy thud.

Uraraka, who had watched everything unfold, loudly gasped. She took a step forward to step in between them when an arm extended out in front of her. She shot Mina an incredulous look.

"Don't get involved," Mina muttered, her yellow eyes still glued on the recording video.

Uraraka grasped Mina's arm and gestured to the two girls. "B-But she-"

Mina sent her a pointed side glance. "(Y/n) needs to handle this by herself."

Uraraka's next words died in her throat as she opened her mouth and closed it up again like a fish. Her hand reached up to clasp her throat and she turned back to the two girls. Her hero instincts were screaming at her to get in between them but Mina's words held her back.

She pinched her lips together. She only wished that she was doing the right thing by not stepping in.

(Y/n) stoically watched as Satori tried to sit up while her hand hovered over her reddish forehead. From the corner of her eye, she could see that they had begun to garner quite an audience as the noise in the changing room had significantly died down. The students were watching them with interest, but she didn't care. Not one bit.

Sighing, she crouched down in front of the suffering girl and looked her up and down. She had never seen her in such a pathetic state before. She had always known her as a proud person, one so confident in herself and unafraid in a fight because of her protective Quirk.

Wow, how the mighty have fallen.

"You know Satori, I also had an epiphany while in my simulation room," she shrugged. "I don't think we should be friends anymore."

Satori didn't reply as she managed to sit up. Her vision was hazy and her scalp burned. She pressed her fingers to her forehead and winced.

"Awe..." (Y/n) faked a pout, her head tilting. "Hurts, huh? I kinda feel bad for you..." she then let out a sharp laugh, making Satori flinch. "Sike! No, I don't."

Satori shook her head as she tried to wrap her battered brain around what was happening, how she'd let this happen...where did she go wrong?

"Why?" she rasped in a shaky voice.

"Why?" (Y/n)'s brows furrowed while she chuckled darkly. "Well, that's a dumb question. I had to do it before you could activate your Quirk and all," she smirked. "Wouldn't want my own face receiving the hit, now would we?"

Satori's lips parted and she was about to say something when (Y/n)'s hand reached out and grabbed her head. She was confident that Satori wouldn't do anything to her. Her Quirk needed her to focus and that moment, Satori was far from focused. It was one small secret loophole she had the pleasure of knowing and one she was going to use to her advantage.

"As much as it has been fun being friends, this is where you and I part ways," the girl's smirk twisted into a scowl and her fingers squeezed around Satori's head, her nails digging into her scalp. The girl hissed in pain and a feeling similar to the one she got after she punched Katsuki flowed through her again. It was addictive, mind-blowing. She could get off it forever. The feeling was indescribable but it was one of being in power, the feeling of looking down on someone for fucking once.

She forced the girl's head back so that she could look into her pained, grey eyes.

"Goodbye Satori," she said in a low voice. "I sincerely hope you rot in hell."

She roughly released her head before straightening up. Hooking a thumb under her bag's strap, she adjusted it up her shoulder and turned to walk away.

"He told you, didn't he?" her voice stopped her once again. She looked over her shoulder at Satori, who was shakily getting up on her feet. "Didn't take him for a rat. And here I was intending for it to be a goodbye gift to you of sorts. I wasn't expecting it to be opened until much later but then again," the girl shrugged, feeling her head finally clear up. "I'll just work with what I have now."

Turning back around, (Y/n) scowled. Fuck, she's resilient. And here I was hoping she'd stay down long enough for me to make my badass exit...oh well.

"You're such a bitch, you know that?" she hissed, eyes narrowed.

Satori shook her head. "I'm not. You're only seeing me that way because you brought it upon yourself."

(Y/n)'s pupils flared. "I brought it upon myself?"

"I'm your best friend, (Y/n)," Satori repeatedly thumped her palm against her chest. "I was there for you when no one else was. I was a better friend to you than Shiori or Mei ever were."

The girl pointed a finger at her. "Don't bring them into this."

"Where are they now then, huh?!" Satori held up her palms with a pointed look on her face. "They're not here because I'm the only one who still stuck around for you!" she pointed her finger at her. "I spent one fucking year of my life helping you get over him, (Y/n)! One year! I listened to you, I defended you, and I even came by to your house at fucking two am in the morning that one time because you were crying about him! And what do you?! You turn around and start kissing his ass?! How do you think I feel?!" she placed a hand on her chest. "Can't you see?! I'm only treating you the way you're treating me right now! It's not fair!"

"Oh my God!" (Y/n) let out a disbelieving laugh and pressed the tips of her fingers to her temples. "I never asked you to do those things for me!! Stop making me feel like I owe you for your help and friendship!!" she dug her fingers into her hair. "Are you really that selfish?!"

"How can I not be?! How can I not be when you intend to leave me for him after everything I've done for you?!"

"What?! I never said that!"

"You don't have to say it for me to see it!! What is wrong with you, (Y/n)?!" she asked in a scathing tone. "Are you telling me that you still have feelings for him even after everything he's put you through that you're willing to mistreat your best friend to be with him?! Is some jerk more important to you than the person who was there for you for four years?!"

(Y/n) balled her fists, her eyes narrowed in a warning glare. "Don't go there, Satori! You and I both know that's not true so stop acting like the victim here!"

"Victim?! I'm not acting like the victim!" she jammed a finger to her chest. "I am the victim here! You're hurting my feelings right now (Y/n)! And you're the one who should stop lying! You told me yourself, didn't you?!" she twisted her face in a disgusted sneer. "How there's nothing you love more than spreading your legs for Bakugou Katsuki every night like the slut you are?!"

Collective gasps and exclamations swamped the room.

(Y/n)'s mouth dropped open and her eyes nearly bulged out. She was shocked to the core and unable to move or think. Whispers and murmurs caught her ears and she trailed her eyes over to the uninvited audience. Some girls had their mouths covered in shock, others were laughing while others whispered into each other's ears.

"Oh my God..." Uraraka pressed her fingers to her lips and leaned closer to Mina. "Did she just..."

"Yeap, she went there," Mina hastily tapped on the stop button and shoved her phone back into her pocket. She nudged Uraraka's side. "Hey, be ready to step in now, okay? Things are about to get messy."

Uraraka nodded before returning her focus to Satori and (Y/n).

"What?! What?!" Satori wildly whipped her head around the room at the shocked girls, her arms wide open. "I'm only giving answers to the question everyone was asking! I mean come on?! How else would anyone manage to cooperate with someone like Bakugou and win?!" she threw a degrading hand towards (Y/n)'s direction. "Not unless they were sleeping together and already knew each other inside and out!"

(Y/n) ground down her jaw as her clenched fists trembled. A vortex of anger swirled inside her and at that moment, she really wished she should've just killed her on the spot instead.

"Take. That. Back," she said, her voice tight with restrained rage.

Satori smirked and pulled her shoulders back. Did (Y/n) think for even a second that she had the upper hand? Pity. When it came to playing dirty, Satori was a pro-gamer, heck, she fucking owned the game. (Y/n) would have to come back in ten years to play that game with her if she wanted a chance in winning.

Crossing her arms over her chest, Satori cocked her head in challenge. "Or what?"

"I said," (Y/n) seethed as she shrugged off her bag and let it drop on the floor. "Take it back, Satori."

Satori's grey eyes fell on the bag and they glinted in delight. Now things were getting interesting. Her eyes darted back up to (Y/n) and her smirk widened.

Just one more douse of fuel to the fire.

"Whore."
