Dear Diary,

Today we went to districts two and one.
Haymitch was unbearable in D1! I think it's horrible he has to go to all the districts but he should at least ACT grateful to them.
I just hope he doesn't embarrass Alloids and me tomorrow night.
He's been saying he won't go to the party.
Even though Alloids had been letting him get by with a lot of stuff,
She got in his face and told him he was going whether he was going with just the three of us or if we had to bring a couple of peacekeepers. He grudgingly nodded his head.
I hope he doesn't change his mind!
After that happened Alloids decided she was going to bed because she had a headache. I wonder why....
As soon as she went through the double doors, Haymitch grabbed my hand and led me though the opposite double doors.
I asked him where he was taking me, he told me to be quiet or we would get caught.
Of course THAT got my attention.
I wouldn't shut up (just so I could annoy him) I just kept babbling on and on. Until finally he jerked to a stop, pulled me towards him and kissed me. That kiss had to have lasted a good five minutes. After he pulled back, I gasped for air. I don't think I could ever forget what he whispered afterwards:
"Well look at that, you can keep
your mouth shut when you want to."
Then it was over. He grabbed my hand and led me to the back of the train. We stood beside each other and watched the world go by as the sun set. Something so innocent. Just the two of us.
Standing beside each other. At the back of the train. Watching the sunset sink lower and lower until it was gone.
I never really stopped to watch the sunset before. It was so pretty.
The oranges and reds mixed with blues and purples.
At some point or another we sat down on the ground.
My head leaning on his shoulder.
Eventually I got kinda sleepy staring at the stars.
Right before I drifted off I heard him say something no one had ever said to me before.
"I love you Effie Trinket."
Then I did something crazy..
"I love you too Haymitch Abernathy."
I know it was stupid of me but I was so tired of keeping it to myself!
After I woke up a few hours later, I noticed he had fallen asleep as well. I shook him and told him we needed to go to bed before Alloids wakes up.
We tried to walk as silently as we could. After we walked to his room he gave me a quick kiss goodnight and slid into his room.
I walked to mine and quickly opened my door just wide enough to slide through.
Now I'm writing in you.
