Chapter 3: Behind a brick
Astrid's POV
As we landed at the academy, we met Snotlout, Fishlegs and Tuff.
"Hi, girls! What are you doing here?" Snotlout asked.
"Um.. We are.." I said as I tried to think of a thing I could say and then Ruff stepped in.
"Astrid has been getting letters from an anonymous person for five years, and now we are going to find out who it is and our second clue is here" Ruff said as she placed her hands on her hips. I glared at her.
'You weren't supposed to say that' I mouthed to her.
"Oh! Detective work! Can we join?" Fishlegs asked.
"Sure..." I said.
"Fantastic! Okay, what is the clue?" Fishlegs asked. I got the letter up from my pocket and opened it.
"Many dragons were killed there, and at first it was a place for violence, but now it's a place for training, inside of a cage, behind a brick, you'll find the next piece" I read to Fishlegs. He snatched the letter from me.
"Okay, it's in one of those cages" Fishlegs said as we all walked into the academy. As we went inside, Fishlegs didn't look up from the letter.
"It's pretty obvious that it is in that one" Tuffnut said. We all looked at him.
"What? Yes, I have slept in there before! Don't judge me" Tuff said as we continued to stare at him.
"Well, if Tuff is right, then he has spared us a lot of time" Snotlout said.
We went over to the door and opened the cage. We started to search the wall for loose bricks until Tuff finally found something.
"Yes!" Tuffnut yelled happily. We all looked at him.
"Did you find the brick?" I asked him. He shook his head.
"No, but something better!" Tuff said.
"What is better than finding the loose brick?" Snotlout asked.
"Duh, I finally found Agnor!" Tuff said excited.
"Agnor?" Snotlout, Fishlegs and I said in unison.
"Agnor! Where have you been all this time!" Ruffnut said excited as she ran over to her brother and the little grey mouse he was holding.
"Did you guys know anything about ... This?" I whispered to Snotlout and Fishlegs. They shook their heads.
"No" They said in unison as Snotlout lest against the wall, and as he did that, a brick went inside of the wall and revealed a small wodden box.
We all looked at Snotlout, he looked shocked.
"Um, maybe you should?" Snotlout said to me as he stepped away from the hole.
I lifted the box up and blew of all off the dust, which made me cough, and opened it.
