Astrid's POV

I opened the letter and began reading it.

Dear Astrid...

You are the reason for the smile on my face, the laughter in my eyes, and the joy in my life.

And I do not think much, I do not think often but when I actually think, I think of you.

The nest of the queen at the spot a hero fell, you will find your next piece.

"The nest of the queen..." Fishlegs said as he tapped his chin.

"Oh! I know where it is! It is at dragon island!" Fishlegs said excited.

"At dragon island?" Said Snotlout.

"We haven't been there in ages"

"I know" Fishlegs said.

"Hm... That's awfully near Berk" I said.

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Snotlout said.

"Let's go!" Snotlout said as he walked fast out of the cave, and when Snotlout was out of sight, we heard screaming.

"Is that.. Snotlout?" I asked Ruff and Fishlegs. They shrugged. We ran towards the screams and saw Snotlout standing terrified at the opening of the cave.

"Tuffnut! Why in Odin's name are you not wearing underwear?!" Snotlout asked as he looked away.

"I'm glad we didn't have to see that" I whispered to Ruff and Fishlegs. They nodded.

"Tuff, please get your pants back on! We are leaving soon!" Snotlout said as he looked away.

We waited a bit and then the words we have been longing for finally came,

"I'm done!" We heard Tuffnut yell.

"Finally" We all said in unison.

We walked out of the cave and glared at Tuffnut for making us wait. We climbed up onto our dragons and took off.

When we landed at dragon island, the gang and I split up. I went to the north side, and they went to the south side.

I walked around for a bit until I saw something brown in the sand. I ran over to it and dug it up to reveal the letter I have searched for.

I studied it and carefully opened it.

Dear Astrid...
This is where it all ends.

Have you ever loved someone so much that you are willing to do anything for them? Because I have.

It hurts so much to let you go, but I have to.

It hurts so much to not have you by my side.
It hurts so much to not be around you.
It hurts so much to not be with you.

Dear Astrid,

I love you, and I hope that you'll take care of the item in the box. Goodbye.

I looked in the hole I dug to get out the letter and there I found a small box. I lifted the box up and blew the sand off it.

I opened the box, and it revealed a beautiful ring with an golden axe carved into it. I felt a tear escape my eye as I slid the ring onto my finger. I began crying. He's still out there, Astrid, go get him.

"Are you crying?" The gang asked. I gave them the letter. I continued crying.

"Oh my gods..  That's so romantic!" Ruff said.

"Yeah" I said as I stood up and brushed the sand off my skirt.

"We are going to find him. No matter what" I said.
