"Jenna?" Dean asked quietly trying not to startle her to much. Jenna's eyes opened slowly. Her eyes were red and tired from crying. They had stopped about 2 hours back because Jenna had just burst into tears. Dean ended up holding and hugging her for around 30 min. She had fallen asleep after that.
"Yeah," she said tiredly. She was tired like you would not believe. Amara had been pretty quiet, like she knew that it would make things worst of she her self started crying.
"We're here, do you want me to hold Amara?" Dean asked before getting out.
Jenna just smiled. She knew how much Dean loved holding and playing with Amara. Just like a father. "Yeah, she's all yours."
Dean smiled as Amara was placed into his hands. He opened the door and got out with ease. So did Jenna after grabbing the bag they had gotten at a store when buying diapers and milk.
He opened the door and smiled when he saw Sam sitting at one of the tables with his laptop open and books and papers slathered everywhere. Dean had called earlier and told Sam what was going on. So they planned that it would be "safer" if both Jenna and Amara stayed in Deans room. (And we are all like suuuuuuuuure)
"Hey Sam!" Dean said coming down the stairs. Everyone thought that Sam would be the one that loved babies, but to be honest, he didn't care. Sure they were cute, but they were a lot of work.
"Hey," he said getting up to go to his brother, who at the time was holding the baby that they rescued from the hospital. Amara, right?
"Hi Sam," Jenna said coming down the stairs as well. Sam smiled and put his hand up.
"In so sorry for your loss," he said knowing that she had lost her grandmother.
"Thanks," she said. "Where can I put all my stuff?" She asked. She knew that she was sharing a room with Dean, but this place was huge.
"This way," Dean said leading her to his room. When she got there, she loved what she saw. There were guns plastered everywhere, there was a couple of boxes and that was it. Lots of room. There also was a tiny crib off to the side for Amara to.
"Nice!!" She said dropping her bag. She looked around a bit more and plopped on the bed, which was big enough for her and Dean. Dean smiled and joined her, after putting Amara to sleep.
"You going to be alright?" He asked, knowing that she was hurting. She only sighed and leaned on him. He put his arm around her shoulders and kissed her forehead.
"I think that I'm going to be okay," she said back. "It's just that, it's amazing how much can change in a week. Just a week ago I was a sheriff, working a job, trying to find love. Now here I am, I'm jobless, motherless," she stopped at the last one.
"Yeah, but look at the bright side," Dean said smiling. "You have me, and you have Amara. And soon, Sam will feel like a brother to you." Dean said confidently. Jenna, he knew, had been through a lot. And he knew that the only thing that she needed now, was comfort.
But then at that moment, Sam burst through the room. "Guys, I've got a lead on Darkness, and your not going to like it."
