Pi

Ramdam ko ang panlalamig ng mga kamay ko habang lulan ako ng sasakyan papunta sa simbahan. In few moments, I know both of us will do the biggest regret we will ever have in our life. He turned to look at me, signaling me to lower down my voice dahil nagsasalita pa ang pari ngunit hindi na ako makakapaghintay.

He blinked and lowered his voice. “What?”

Napakarami ng gusto kong itanong sa kanya ngunit sa huli ay nabahag na naman ang buntot ko.

Rocket lifted my veil and leaned closer ngunit sa halip na halikan agad ako ay bahagya siyang bumulong. “Yup, of course.”

Oh shit.

I shook upon the thought.

Damn him, and to think we’re in the church!

Hindi iyon ang gusto kong itanong but his answer somewhat made me look forward to later. Damn this guy!

Then he smiled before slanting his lips to mine, giving me a soulful kiss.

Pinakiramdaman ko si Titless habang nakaupo sa tabi ko. I know she’s more nervous than i am but watching her sat still in silence habang isa-isang nagsasalita ang mga importanteng bisita makes me uncomfortablw ith her silence.

I doubt she even listens to them dahil tila lumilipad ang kanyang isip.

She’s not under some influence of drugs, isn’t she?

“Ayos ka lang ba?” tanong ko sa kanya.

Nilingon niya ako at bahagyang tumango. She still had that worried expression on her face kaya bigla akong nag-alala.

“Are you in pain?” tanong ko sa kanya.

Iling ang naging sagot niya at hindi ko na siya natanong muli nang lumapit sa mesa namin sina Gray at Amber.

“Congratulations Mr. And Mrs. Morisson,” bati ni Amber sa amin. I guess she already met Pi few times before. Inabot niya ang dalang regalo kay Pi at binati rin kami ni Gray. “I hope you know you married a devil.”

I smirked at her. “Stop ruining this moment witch.”

Se rolled her eyes like she always did at muling bumaling kay Pi. “You can open the gift.”

Napansin kong tahimik lamang si Pi at sinunod ang sinabi ni Amber. She made a face when she opened few set of lingerie inside.

Bakit pamilyar iyon?

“That’s his gift for me at tiyak akong hindi ko iyan magagamit so I’m returning that one,” sabi niya.

Parehas kaming nagulat nang biglang tumayo si Pi. “Can I talk with you for a while?”

Nagpalipat-lipat ang tingin ni Amber sa amin ni Gray bago siya tumango. “Sure, why not.”

Before we could react, titless pulled her to the side, away from the crowd. Nagtatakang nagkatinginan na lamang din kami ni Gray. That’s when I pulled him too and gently choke him with the wedding garter.

“Okay, you’re next by default.”
