Pi

It all happened so fast. In two months time, I'm marrying Rocket, we're moving into a new house  and become his conventional wife. I requested a three-month period before the wedding in case he changes his mind about tying knots with me.

And a month has passed already, and here I am with a little obviousl bump and feeling sleepy all day. Rocket sometimes see me whenever he's not busy with whatever. Gaya ng sinabi niya, it's us marrying and not our family business kaya labas ako sa kung anu-ano mang pinagkakaabalahan niya.

For a month I've been thinking if I also want to marry Rocket. A piece of paper will bind us, yeah but was it that easy? Kung iisipin ko lamang ang nararamdaman ko at ni Ryu, this marriage is not necessary. Liking his face and his dick plus performance isn't really a deciding factor in this.

If I think of the baby, this will be for the best.

Hinimas ko ang tiyan at na pagbuntong-hininga.

Is it a he or a she?

I hope the baby will be fine.

I hope the baby can learn to adapt in this world.

I have so many hopes for my baby.

Kinuha ko ang cellphone at tiningnan ang mga larawang kuha ko kay Rocket. Some of it were stolen, when he's not looking and shows different faces of him. Some were few of the very few photos of him in social media.

Annoyed. Pissed. Serious. Pokerface. Damn, why is he so pretty?

Maybe I should put up a billboard size picture of him in the yard.

But ops, that's creepy and I don't want to share so maybe just one huge enough in my room.

Or print his faces on my mug, my shirt, my plate and everything I see.

Damn I hate this.

I want to see him.

Nakipagtalo pa ako sa sarili kung itetext ba siya o hindi. I don't demand much time from him dahil hindi naman siya obligado roon but... I really want to see him now.

Right now.

I tossed my phone when it rang and his name was registered on the screen. Busy siya and it means I can do whatever I want. Maybe I should try to go out and enjoy. Or exercise. Like party for exercise, after all kailangan ng buntis ng exercise.

Right. I need an exercise.

“Hey Pi, long time no see!” bati sa akin ng lalaking hindi ko matandaan kung sino. Maybe he’s a friend of a neighbor’s cousin’s friends. Probably not of my one night stands before.

“Hello, who are you? I don’t recognize your smug face.”

Tumawa  siya at inabot sa akin ang isang basong naglalaman ng inumin. Tinanggap ko iyon at inamoy muna bago uminom. Ah, so refreshing to take a taste of alcohol for some time now.

“It’s me Arthur,” sabi niya.

“Wala akong kilalang Arthur, maliban kay Douglas McArthur.”

He laughed even more, baliw yata. “I’m Levi’s friend, remember?”

“Oh Levi, where’s that asshole?” tanong ko.

He pointed his glass towards the side kung saan may kumpol ng mga babae at nakaupo sa couch si Levi. Akbay niya sa magkabilang braso ang dalawang babae na halos lumuwa na ang dede sa sikip ng suot. Uh, can’t relate but whatever.

Inabot ko sa lalaki ang walang lamang baso. “Thanks Douglas.”

“Arthur.”

“Yeah, whatever,” sagot ko at nilagpasan siya upang tumungo sa direksyon ni Levi and his pack of sluts. The bar’s crowded and noisy as ever and half of me wanted to go home and sleep the night away but then what’s wrong with having a little fun?

I’m sure Rocket is having fun too right now kung saang lupalop man siya ng mundo, it’s only fair to have fun myself.

“Excuse me slut,” wika ko at hinawi ang ilang mga babae na nakaharang sa daan. “Hey Levi.”

“Pi!” wika niya at tumayo sa couch. “What a surprise! Join us?”

I think I’d really want to go home now. This is what I get for being such a rebel. “No thanks I think you have so much in your plate now.”

Tinangka ko siyang talikuran ngunit hinawakan niya ang braso ko at hinila palapit sa kanya. My body slammed against him and just like his usual antics, dumulas pababa mula sa likod ko ang kanyang kamay.

“I missed your sexy ass as you bounce on me,” bulong niya sa tainga ko.

Uh, why do I don’t feel anything? Dati natu-turn on ako, whenever a guy talks sexually dirty to me. I’m always on the go if we have it rough pero ngayon parang gusto ko nang umuwi at maligo na lamang.

“Cool, don’t miss your dick though,” sinserong sagot ko. It’s Rocket’s that I missed! Kainis, bakit ba kasi nag-out of town?

He squeezed my rump and I’m a second away from punching him on the face.  “Wanna have some fun tonight?”

“I changed my mind, I'm going home.”

Muli akong nagtangkang lumayo ngunit humigpit ang kapit niya s braso ko. "Not so fast Pi, in case you forget who shoot me.”

“So?” nakataas ang kilay na tanong ko. “It’s not like its the first time you’re shot.”

“Let’s say I spare you dahil alam kong gaganti si Zero sa akin, you know how loyal your lap dog is.”

Boo, takot kay Zero!

Hinawi niya ang buhok ko sa tainga at inilapit ang bibig doon. “Let me know why you shoot me.”

“You hit Cooler with a bottle!”

Tumawa siya ng nakakaloko. “That happens long time ago, so what if I hit your crush?”

Well, he knows that Cooler is the love of my life. I’m very vocal about it. Lahat nga yata ng mga kakilala ko alam na si Harry Style at Cooler Vander ang gusto ko.

“Getting even,” sagot ko. “Now excuse me I’m going home--”

He grabbed me and kissed me hard. I tried to pull away ngunit mas humigpit pa ang hawak niya sa akin. He pushed himself into me, grabbing my hair in the process.

“Get off me!” kinagat ko ang kanyang labi at tinulak palayo.

Napamura siya at dumura, tasting blood in his lips. Sorry not sorry.

“What the hell?!”

“That’s what you deserve dickhead!” wika ko sa kanya. Who cares if we’re getting so much attention right now? Wala akong pakialam. Oh gosh, I wished I had a gun with me. Or maybe a bottle will do. Nang lumingon ako sa gilid ay may isang lalaking may dalang bote ng beer kaya lumapit ako at inagaw iyon, sabay hampas kay Levi ngunit mabilis na nahawakan niya ang braso.

“Not too fast Pi,” he said with a smirk and pulled me towards him. Halos kaladkarin na niya ako palayo roon, pulling me in one of the doors where a lot were doing things that will definitely disappoint Jesus. He slammed me on the wall at kinulong sa kanyang mga bisig.

“Playing hard to get, you know I’d love that.”

“Not playing, I’m not in the mood for a scumbag like you!” Ah shit, maybe a syringe would be enough but unfortunately I left them all in the car.

“You’re always in the mood Pi,” sagot niya, pulling my top down as he started trailing wet kisses on my shoulders.

I rolled my eyes and gave him an uppercut.

Ilang beses siyang napamura at kinagat ang balikat ko. “Bitch!” bulalas niya at biglang sinuntok ang tyan ko! Napadaing ako sa sakit and I began to panic!

My baby!

Bigla siyang tumawa na tila demonyo. “I’ve heard about the news Pi, that’s my way of saying welcome to the world to your baby.”

All I see was red and the only thing on my mind right now is my baby! Wala na akong pakialam kung saan man siya nakasagap ng balitang iyon. All I want to do is to kill this douchebag right this moment! Before I could even decide on what of the multiple ways I can use to kill him when he was suddenly pulled away from me and someone punched him in the jaw!

It was Rocket!

No, it was a very angry Rocket!

I thought he’s out of town?!

“And that’s my way of saying go to hell Luchez!” Rocket angrily said. His voice roared on the corners of the room. He pulled a gun on his side and fired on the wall. Shouts filled the room as everyone tried to flee.

“Rocket--” tinangka ko siyang hawakan but he swatted away my hand at tinadyakan si Levi. Hindi pa siya nagkasya roon dahil pinaulanan niya pa ito ng suntok at hinampas ng baril sa ulo. Poor Levi, covered in blood and bruise right now.

Nagsigawan ang mga naroon at nakiusyoso na  ang iba. Two of the bar’s bouncers tried to mediate the situation but there’s no stopping Rocket right now. It seems like he was possessed by the real devil himself and before he could actually kill Levi, hinila ko siya.

“Rocket!”

He tried to breakaway but I hugged him tight so he won’t let go.

“Hayop ka Luchez!” Ilang beses siyang napamura samantalang hindi ko na halos makilala si Levi dahil sa ginawa ni Rocket. Halos hindi na nga siya makapagsalita but still that annoying smile was on his face, making Ryu lose it even more. Bago pa man niya ito muling tadyakan ay agad ko siyang hinila palabas doon.

The people inside were kind enough to make way for us or maybe Ryu’s anger is just too scary that they prefer him to get out of the place. Habang papalayo kami roon ay humihina ang maingay na musika at mas namayani ang katahimikan sa pagitan namin. I was holding him tight and I could feel his muscles all tensed up at nakakuyom pa ang kanyang kamao.

Hindi ko alam bakit ngunit ito ang unang pagkakataon na tila natakot ako sa presensya niya. He’s so angry that it’s too scary.

We stopped in front of my car.

“Uhm... Rocket.”

“What the hell Pi, what are you doing in a place like that? If you’re that itchy, then you should have used whatever toys you had, scratch that fucking itch and stayed at home!” sigaw niya sa akin. His veins on his neck were all that visible plus the pitch of his voice is really alarming.

This is a very angry Rocket, to the extreme level.

Now I really feel bad for being here.

Kinagat ko ang labi upang pigilan ang paghikbi. I’m the one at fault here, so I’m not crying, I should apologize. Ilang beses akong lumunok at pilit na pinigilan ang luha.

“Don’t fucking look at me like that Pi! Tears won’t work.”

He’s making it worse.

I gritted my teeth and tried to hold it back. My fault, I know. That’s why I feel so guilty.

Napayuko ako. “Sorry.”

“Fuck!”

This time I cried silently, letting all my tears flow down. He lifted my chin but I looked down again. He cannot see me cry. He said tears won’t work, I know. I just felt guilty that I almost had my baby killed. Napahawak ako sa tiyan ko na sinuntok ni Levi kanina.

Kumusta kaya ang baby ko? Did it hurt? If ever my baby will get a black eye, I’m killing Levi with a bread knife, cheese grater and can opener!

Muli siyang napamura at itinaas ang mukha ko ngunit muli akong umiwas. I wiped away my tears with the back of my palm, rubbing my eyes to impossibly stop the tears.

“Stop crying.”

Kinagat ko ang labi at nanatiling nakakuyuko. “You’re angry.”

“Yes.”

“Sorry.”

“Don’t ever fucking do that again.”

I nodded.

“Look at me,” sabi niya.

Umiling ako.

“Look at me Pi.”

Umiling ulit ako. I feel so guilty that I don’t have the heart to look at him in the eyes. I almost killed our baby for being a brat! Why couldn’t I wait? I should just have stayed home and patiently waited for me, at nagkasya na lamang sa pagtingin-tingin sa mga pictures niya na nasa cellphone ko. Yup, the urge to see him made me rebel and put myself in this situation.

I'm so immature, I know. I tried to prove to him na hindi mahalaga kung andyan siya o wala. Now this is what I get for being that foolish. Ah, I hate me.

“Fucking look at me in the eyes Pi,” wika niya sa seryosong boses.

I slowly peered at him after rubbing my eyes. I really feel guilty. Nang napatingin ako sa kanya ay mukha pa rin siyang galit. Salubong ang kanyang kilay at medyo magulo ang buhok dahil sa ilang beses niyang paggulo niyon due to anger and frustration.

“Sorry,” mahinang usal ko.

He sighed in relief. “Thank fuck you didn’t smudge your mascara.”

What?

Of course I used his gift.

Then he pulled me towards his chest for a hug, putting his chin on top of my head. “Don’t do this again, who knows what I can do next time, got that?”

Iniyakap ko ang mga braso sa baiwang niya at tumango.

“Good. But I’m still mad.”

Tumango ulit ako. “I k-know, I c-can feel you shaking Rocket. Sorry I put our baby in harm.”

“Don’t fucking do this again.”

I slowly nodded, not unwrapping my arms from him.

"What are you doing in this place? Trying to piss me? Congratulations, you fucking did," sabi niya.

And I'm not definitely pleased about what I did. Now I feel guilty for doing such.

"Sorry."

"Stop saying sorry, damn it. You said like five times already!"

Mas niyakap ko pa siya nang mahigpit. "I'm sorry."

"Damn it."

Oh damn me.

I bite my lips to keep myself from saying sorry. Nanatili kami sa ganoong posisyon nang ilang minuto. We're just breathing and calming ourselves. I can feel Rocket breating heavily before he sighed.

"You okay now Rocket?" tanong ko at hindi siya sumagot. At least his muscles isn't that tensed already. "Sorry, I was just annoyed I don't get to see you. Dapat pala ay nagkasya na lamang ako sa mga pictures mo sa cellphone ko--"

He pulled away and looked at me with surprise. "You have pictures of me in your phone?"

I nodded. "I took them secretly when you're asleep or when you're not looking."

"Why?"

"You're so pretty," matapat kong sagot.

He was silent for a while. "Pinaglilihian mo ba ako?"

"No of course not, you're just so pretty I love to stare at your face. By the way you look so hot when angry. That makes me.... wet," I said and grinned shyly.

"Uh you horny woman!" wika niya at napabuga ng hangin. "Now get inside the car before I'll do you right here right now."

Shit, sounds exciting.
