The man constently tried to break in when he stopped and stared at the several cracks on the door.

Maddie was waiting from inside the room. She was breathing heavily as she stared at the door. Maddie was weak. She looked like a dead zombie with her messy hair and her torn shit along with her broken hand which was placed on her chest. Her vision was weak. Maddie could feel her vision getting blurred and her eyes closing by itself as she stared at the door. She had lost many blood but she couldn't give up. Not now, not ever, she swore. She could feel her head spinning as she sweated. She felt dizzy but she blinked her eyes and waited with her hand which was holding the knife pointed at the door.

Maddie blinked several times to not lose her visions and she kept staring at the door but she wasn't aware that there were broken glass falling from the window behind her. The man stepped in from the window as he carefully placed his feet into the bathtub. He stared at the innocent Maddie infront of him.

"You know what? I think you are holding out on me",he took out his sharp knife.

"I bet if I hit the right spot...I can make you scream",he scoffed as he slowly leaned the knife towards her neck.

Maddie couldn't hear him. She was deaf but as the killer had scoffed, she could feel the air which blowed on her hair sending her the necessary signals. Her eye pupil dilated in her iris as she blinked when she learned that he was behind him.

The moment the killer was about to stab Maddie on her neck, the lady turned the knife which on her hand upside down as she turned her gaze and stabbed the man hard in his leg. The Maniac left a scream and gasped at such an unexpected act.

Maddie rapidly unlocked the door and left the room when she trudged in the kitchen. Her gaze was at the knife which was kept on the wooden blocks. she needed to reach it but her vision tunred blurry as she walked. She supported her body by touching the table as she trudged but she couldn't stood up on her feet. So, she fell on the floor near the cabinet when her vision blackened as she stared blankly when her eyes closed. She passed out.

The man walked in the kitchen by limping when he noticed Maddie lying on the floor, her face towards his gaze, her eyes closed. He slowly made his way towards her when he stared at her as the lady gradually opened her eyes.

"You fucking cunt",he said as he leaned closer when out of the blue Maddie triggered and sprayed the acidic liquid of the kitchen neutralizer into his eyes. The man cried out and howled as he stepped away, rubbing his burning eyes. He groaned when he turned around but Maddie triggered the alarm blared and placed it towards him.

The loud noise of the alarm rang in his ears as he screamed and covered his ears with his hand. He stepped back and the knife fell from his hand. Maddie stepped towards him,  pointing the alarm near his ears as he collapsed. She then put it down when she was picking up the knife but a huge force dragged her head and threw her weak body on the floor. The man hit her in the stomach with his leg as he grunted. Maddie weakened.

He jumped on her when he strangled her neck. Maddie bite his hand as hard as she could. The man screamed when he released his hand and slapped the woman hard on her face when he strangled her again. Maddie's eyeballs popped out as she could feel her larynx closing by the great force of the killer's hand on her neck. She can't reach the air. She struggled with him when she gave multiple punch on the chest where the killer was hurt by the arrow but the man kept strangling her. He lifted her head and violently hit it against the floor in constant ways. It gave impact thuds.

Maddie suffocated as the man stangled her neck. She struggled with the man but her heartbeat slowed. She was left with no strength. Memories of her childhood and her family invaded her mind as her vision blurred. She stared at the man when suddenly her hand reached the knife of her left. Maddie mercilessly digged the knife into the killer's neck. Blood poured out. The man gasped when maddie removed the knife from his neck. Blood split out like a sprinkler on Maddie.

The lunatic groaned and weakened when he fell his body on the floor of the other side. He groaned in pain for a moment when he stopped breathing. Maddie wheezed as she could finally breathe. She coughed as she catched some air and spluttered. She held her neck and got up when she stared at the dead maniac. She placed her hand in his pocket and took out her phone when she dialed the number 911 with her weak fingers. Maddie laid back to her original position as she felt weak and stared blankly at the ceiling.

Two dead people outside her house. Sarah Greene and John stanley as her two neighbours. All brutally murdered. The sound of the alarm was still blaring when Maddie her way outside as she sat on the stairs and stared. She was waiting for the police when the cat meowed as it sat beside Maddie. The latter made a weak smile as she stared and caressed it's fur. They both sat and waited for a few moments when the siren of the police was heard from afar. Her eyes followed the flickering lights of the sirens as it approached and made it's entrance.

Maddie closed her eyes and made a weak smile as she felt victorious.
