"Carino?" Kara turned and raised an eyebrow. "How did you get in here?" she asked dryly, not really needing an answer. Giovanni was an Italian, a mob hitman, a shadow that even the sun couldn't capture.
"You can't marry this Korean, you're Italian, you should be in Italy, with the man your father chooses for you." Kara laughed wryly. "Why do you think you can tell me what to do?" she sat on the bed and crossed her legs.
"MY FATHER" she blurted out the two words "Already chose Hoseok as my husband." Giovanni walked over and sat on the couch across from her, making himself comfortable with his legs slightly apart.
"I'm talking about your real father, carino!" Kara looked at him like he was crazy. "My real father? Seriously? After twenty-four years he remembered he had a daughter?" Kara shook her head in disbelief.
"He wants you back in Italy, Cara, and he's determined to do anything to convince you. Even kill that Korean lover of yours." Giovanni rested his elbows on his knees. "He'll do anything to get what he wants."
Kara rolled her eyes in annoyance. She didn't know her father, she didn't know anything about him, not even his name, and her uncle was admonishing her to obey the wishes of a stranger, he and her biological father.
"Go back to Italy and tell my so-called father he can be fucked!" she hissed and stood up, heading for the door. "And if you don't want my Korean lover to skin you before he slits your throat, get out of his house!" she went out, leaving her uncle staring at the door.
"Cancel the wedding!" Hoseok looked up startled and Yoongi lowered his eyebrows. "What?" Kara looked at her father and then her brother and Hoseok. "Cancel the wedding, now, right now!" she insisted coldly and headed for the library.
"What's wrong with you, the wedding is tomorrow!" Hoseok jumped to his feet and approached her as she pushed aside a few books, revealing the metal door of a hidden safe. One of many in the house.
Without answering, she opened the safe and took out the already ready-to-sign marriage certificate, closed the safe and turned around, looking Hoseok straight in the eyes.
"Do you trust me, mi amore?" she asked, trying to suppress the impulse to tell him everything. "More than myself." Hoseok replied and tilted his head, waiting for her to explain.
"Then call off the wedding." Kara insisted. "Why, don't you want to marry me already?" he asked uncertainly and she placed a hand on his cheek, shaking her head.
"Don't even think about it, mi amore!" she took his hand and walked towards his desk. She put down the certificate, took a pen and signed her name. "Its your turn." she handed him the pen and this time Hoseok didn't ask questions but signed his name.
“Dad, Yoongi, please, I want you to be a witness?” the two looked at each other but signed their names. "I am now your wife, mi amore!" she kissed him softly.
"Kara, what's going on?" Yoongi was looking at her nervously and Hoseok was biting his lip in confusion as he watched his now wife look at the three of them with a small smile.
"Whatever happens, whatever happens to me, I want you to know that I love you, all three of you!" she looked at Hoseok and stood on her toes, kissing him passionately. "And you most of all, mi amore!"
She folded the certificate and put it back in the safe, putting the books in their place. She kissed Hoseok one last time and headed for the door.
Standing in the doorway, she turned and looked at the three of them again. Hoseok watched her carefully, feeling like she was saying goodbye in some way.
"What was that?" asked Mr. Min as soon as Kara came out looking at Hoseok. "I have no idea, up until an hour ago all she was talking about was the wedding." he shook his head. Yoongi just huffed in annoyance, something was wrong with his sister and he was about to find out what it was.
"I told you to leave the house!" Kara hissed walking into her room to find Giovanni still sitting on the couch. "And I told you that you were coming with me whether you wanted to or not." he replied and she laughed.
"Tell my father that I'm already married and he can't use me as a pawn." Giovanni took a sharp breath. "What have you done Kara?" he asked and she shrugged. "I just got married, now get out of my house!" Kara growled and they both turned towards the door hearing footsteps approaching.
Giovanni Lysandre sighed heavily, looking sadly at his niece. She didn't know her father and what he was capable of. If she persisted too much, both she and her now-husband would lose their lives.
"If you want them to live, carina, you will think again." he said softly and disappeared across the terrace. Kara took a deep breath, biting her lip thoughtfully.
She couldn't get past the pain and fear in her uncle's eyes. He may have been an ass, but that didn't necessarily mean his threats were empty words.
"Honey, are you okay, what was this all about, I thought you wanted a big wedding?" Hoseok closed the door behind him and Kara looked at him blankly, still thinking over her uncle's words.
"All I wanted was to be your wife, mi amore." Kara shook her head and let Hoseok hug her, resting her head on his shoulder.
Hoseok didn't say anything, he could sense something was bothering her, but she wasn't the type of woman to just sit and complain to her husband until he got fed up and stormed out of the room.
"You know you can tell me anything, right my love?" he lifted her chin slightly, touching her lips softly and she nodded with a small smile.
"The car of Jung Kara, Jung Hoseok's wife, was found blown up on the outskirts of Seoul. There is no word on whether she is alive or not, as her body wasn't found. All of her bodyguards were found dead around the scene. It is believed that the assassination is a kidnapping for a large ransom, relying on the fact that Jung Hoseok is a billionaire and his young wife also has a large financial capacity."
"Mr. Jung and the Min family refuse to comment. The investigation is ongoing, and we can only hope that Ms. Jung will be found alive and well. That's the news so far
..."
Hoseok roared and pulled out his weapon, leveling the magazine at the TV. "Bastards! Jerks! I'm going to find out who's guilty and where my wife is and I'm going to kill you all!" he yelled and Yoongi looked down unable to look at his brother in law in such a state.
A week after the two got married just by signing the certificate, which was notarized the same day, Jung Kara found herself the victim of another assassination attempt.
There was no evidence that she had been murdered, although her blood had been found at the crime scene, but it wasn't enough to rule her dead, so they assumed she had been kidnapped.
The problem was, no one had any idea where Kara was. Even though Hoseok scoured the entire city, mercilessly slaughtering anyone who tried to get in his way, there was no sign of her, as if she had sunk to the bottom of the earth.
It had been four days since the accident, Hoseok was freaking out more and more with each passing hour and no one and nothing could calm him down. He refused to rest even for a minute, continuing to search the already searched places.
"Where is she hyung?" Hoseok slumped heavily on the couch and buried his face in his hands. "We'll find her, Hobi, we're talking about Kara, she's strong, I'm sure it's only a matter of time." Yoongi put a hand on his shoulder and Hoseok looked at him with teary eyes.
"If they did something to her…" his voice broke and he refused to say out loud what scared him the most. But in his mind, this thought was slowly killing him as he convinced himself that there was no man alive capable of killing the mob queen Jung Kara.
