Nightshade turned around. She wasn't the one who said that. An umbreon stood at the other end of the water and crossed with ease. "Hello? This is my food- or, well, food for my sibling." Nightshade greeted with unease. This umbreon was odd, and she wasn't a fan of it initially. Granted, he did look cool, but that didn't mean he wasn't dangerous.

"I wasn't talking about the magikarp, dear. I was talking about you, I'm hungry, and a measly fish won't satisfy my hunger." The umbreon responded, a slight growl in hid voice as he shook off his pelt. Nightshade was slightly taken aback. "No one's eating me today, thank you!" Nightshade responded, awkwardly walking away. "You're not getting away. Don't think about it." The umbreon snarled.

Nightshade could tell her nerves were getting worse. She took a breath in and breathed out. She needed to be calm, and to not show fear!

"How about a deal. We battle. I win, and my life is spared. You win, and you can eat me. Deal?" Nightshade decided. The umbreon seemed to think it over for a moment. "Deal. I'm going to win regardless, for I have the power of the Blood Moon on my side!" The umbreon agreed.

Nightshade smirked, and took a few steps back, the umbreon doing the same. "Three," Nightshade started counting down. "two, one," Nightshade's belly was filling with regret, and determination. "go!"

The two started their battle, Nightshade made her move- poison jab. The umbreon dodged with ease, then used poison jab as well.

Nightshade seemed to pick up that the umbreon had copycat last moment yet got hit. It didn't do much damage, and Nightshade didn't get poisoned, luckily. Nightshade used razor leaf and started to climb up the trees to get a better advantage. The umbreon, however, had different ideas. The umbreon used take-down, knocking Nightshade out of the tree.

Her HP was getting low, so Nightshade had to think quick. She used Giga Drain, which healed her by a bit, and did damage to the umbreon. The umbreon didn't seem to get any weaker, though. Nightshade let out a quiet growl as the umbreon decided to use take down, harming them both.

In the end, it was a stupid move, as now the umbreon was definitely weaker, yet so was Nightshade. She used razor leaf again, which seemed to deal the last amount of damage before the umbreon needed to back down. "I win!" Nightshade proudly declared.

The umbreon snarled. "You just got lucky, thats all." He responded, rather annoyed. Nightshade felt quite bad for him. He was hungry, after all, and Nightshade knew what it was like being hungry. She tore off part of the magikarp, and left it for the weakened umbreon. "I'm not going to leave you to starve. You can have that." She decided, walking away with the rest of the magikarp, ready to tell Solanaceae the tale.
