-» What You Need «-
Murmuring profanities under my breath, I storm over to my bed and with all my strength push Denis off the bed. He lands with a thump and I can't help but laugh.
"Wow you're so funny," he scoffs while brushing himself off. Once he recovers he sits back down in my bed.
"I know, duh. So what's with the death wish?" I ask and sigh, crossing my arms. Due to the breeze cooling me down, I assume he snuck in through the window. I should really start closing those.
"Oh please. Like I would lose that fight. I'd crush them. Again." The sound of Denis' boasting is extremely aggravating, who does he think he is?
"Watch your mouth. You are talking about my best friends in case you forgot."
"Oh April. When are you going to realize that I don't listen," he pouts and tilts his head to the side.
"Cut the crap. What do you want?"
I know the answer before it even slips past his lips. "You."
This boy is frustrating.
"Denis I'm serious, you need to go. I told them I'd have nothing to do with you, and I don't break my word. So go."
I grow wary of him when he stands up and stalks towards me. My feet carry me backwards in an attempt to create space but I become trapped, my back against the wall.
Soon his arms are at either side of me and his brown eyes meet mine.
"Neither do I, sweet April. So believe me when I say you're mine and I'm not going anywhere until I get you. I don't care how I do it but I will get you. Do you understand?" His warm breath fans against my lips for the second time and I become transfixed.
"Y-yes," I manage to say, my voice suddenly hoarse. I hate the effect he has on me, so much.
For a moment he just stays there, studying my face. I feel the heat rushing to my face just at the thought.
"Good. Now that we're on the same level, I would appreciate it if you came with me."
Without thinking I nod and he lets me go. I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear and look at the ground. "I have to be back in a little bit less than two hours."
Biting my lip, I raise my eyes to see him scowling.
"Well maybe I wanted you for the whole fucking day but whatever. I didn't realize they were your parents."
"Please?"
It takes him a minute but eventually he agrees. Before we go I grab a hoodie and soon we're climbing through the window and walking to his car. Without opening the passenger door , Denis hops behind the wheel and starts the car. My stomach does flips as I look at what I'll be riding in. It's incredibly fancy, the exterior and interior all black.
"What is this?" I ask as I get in. With a proud smile he looks at me.
"A Bugatti Veyron. Best car you'll ever see."
I have to admit, Denis doesn't seem all too bad.
He pulls away and I'm left curious . Where could he possibly be taking me?
As the minutes tick by I begin to grow more comfortable. We make small talk until I notice him pulling into one of the most expensive restaurants in town.
"Denis, I can't afford this," I sigh and nervously cough.
"And you don't have to because I can."
"What is this? Denis is being nice?" I tease him and laugh.
"What is this? April thinks she's funny?" He retorts and I pout, feeling defeated.
"Come on, leggo."
I get ou of the car and reluctantly walk with Denis to the door. As I get closer the more nervous I get. I'm nowhere near dressed up for this. I wish he had told me beforehand.
"A table for two," Denis tells the guy at the desk who shows you to your table.
He sticks his nose in the air and looks at us, a judgemental expression written clearly in his face.
"Do you have reservations?" His words sound like they're forced.
"No but I'm sure you could get us a table. You don't seem very busy," Denis observes, motioning to only a couple of people talking and eating.
"Sorry sir but you'll have to go somewhere else."
As quick as lightning Denis has the guy by the collar and is in his face. "You better get us a fucking table."
Shocked, I place my hand on his other arm. "Denis..."
At this point the guy has the phone in his hand and I know he plans on calling the police. "Denis, it's not worth it. Come on!"
Denis seems to have heard me because he lets the guy go and turns to leave, but of course the guy has to say something.
"Such scum."
Before I can stop it Denis punches the guy in the face and we storm out. Running to his car we hop in and quickly pull away.
"What the hell was that about?" I yell, completely outraged. "We could of gotten arrested! Do you know what my parents would do to me? I would rather stay in jail then face them you fucking asshole."
He shakes his head and laughs. "Am I supposed to care? That guy was a dick. You saw the way he looked at us. He made me angry and got what was coming for him."
"That's your excuse? Well guess what? You can't go hurting people who make you mad. It's not okay." What is his damn problem?
"Why do you care?" He asks with a bored tone.
"I don't. God you're so annoying," I whine and look out the window, wanting nothing more then to be away. And to think he was somewhat nice. But nope, he's just a punk.
"But yet you haven't asked to go back to your friends."
Did I mention he was annoying?
What seemed like a long car ride back, Denis stops right before my house.
"Well today was certainly fun. I know tomorrow will be too," Denis says as he turns to me. I look at him, shocked.
"T-tomorrow?"
"Of course silly. But don't worry, I'll text you instead."
I shake my head but he won't have any of it. "I mean it April, I'll see you tomorrow. And I'll definitely have you for longer then just two hours."
With that he shocks me even more and kisses my cheek. My skin ignites at the feel of his soft lips against my skin.
"Now go on. You wouldn't wanna keep all those angry souls waiting now would you?"
