the battle

Adelaide and the rest of the losers navigated their way around the tunnels. Now looking for not only Beverly but Stanley. "Stanley!" Eddie yelled. They ran through the tunnels, water splashing below them, the only light they had was from a flashlight that Bill had.

Suddenly Stanley could be heard screaming. "Stan!" Adelaide yelled.

"Stanley!" Bill yelled. The rest of the group was yelling for Stanley now as well. They started running in the direction of the yelling and came to a door.

"Stanley!" Eddie yelled again.

The door was stuck as they tried to open it, Stanley was still screaming. "We're coming! Once second Stan!" She yelled as they worked together to open the door. Finally, the door was pushed open and they started running again.

They stopped in a group to look around. "Stan?" Bill questioned, glancing around the large area they were in.

"Stanley! Stan!" Eddie shouted. "His flashlight!" Eddie ran over and picked his flashlight up, that moment they saw Stanley, something was on him and they all froze in place, terrified.

Adelaide couldn't make out what it was, but it was scary. "What the fuck is that thing!" Richie screamed.

The thing moved, its teeth were sunken into Stanley's face.

"Oh, shit..." Adelaide mumbled, watching with fear. It squealed before it disappeared into the distance, Pennywise then peered over the corner which caused them all to scream, then left.

"Stanley!" Richie yelled and they all ran over to him.

"Stanley, are you okay?" Adelaide asked as she kneeled by him. Blood was dripping from his face.

"No! No! No!" Stanley screamed as the rest of them grabbed ahold of him, he was sat up now.

"It's okay!" Bill said.

"You left me! You took me into Neibolt!" Stanley screamed. "You're not my friends! You made me go to Neibolt!"

"Stanley, I'm sorry!" Edie said quickly.

Adelaide grabbed his arm. "Calm down, it's okay."

"No, it's not! You know that more than anyone!" He screamed, shaking his head. He turned to the rest of them. "You made me go into Neibolt! This is your fault."

"Stanley... Stan..." Richie mumbled. Suddenly Adelaide watched Bill get up and run, she ran after him.

"Bill! Addie!" Eddie yelled, they were all still comforting Stanley.

"Bill, what are you doing?" She asked as she caught up with him.

He shook his head. "I saw Georgie! Go back, with the others," he told her.

"You aren't doing this alone," she told him as she shook her head. They could hear the rest of the group screaming their names but they kept running. Bill was panting beside him, but he kept running and she kept following. He stopped, and she stopped beside him. There was a large pile, of something.

"What the hell is that?" She asked as she shined the light on it.

Suddenly Bill ran inside, ignoring her question. "Beverly!" He yelled, she looked up, and there was Beverly. She was floating in the air.

Bill tried to jump to get her and Adelaide just watched, she knew he wouldn't be able to reach her. She began to look around. Bill ran and grabbed something but froze, she assumed he saw Georgie again.

"Bill..." she mumbled.

He turned around and looked at Beverly. "I'll come back for her... I gotta, save Georgie."

"Bill! What about Beverly? We have to help her!" She yelled, but he walked off so she followed him.

Bill was looking around, she walked closely beside him, looking around as well. Georgie appeared, he was frozen in place. A paper boat was in his hands. "Georgie..." he mumbled.

"What took you so long?" Georgie asked, Adelaide quickly grabbed his hand, watching Georgie. Georgie was missing an arm, and he was approaching them.

Bill shook his head, tears in his eyes. He didn't pull his hand away from Adelaide. "I was looking for you, this whole time," he told him.

"I couldn't find my way out of here," he explained. "He said I could have my boat back, Billy."

Bill let out a small laugh, as he smiled. "Was she fast?"

"I couldn't keep up with it," he answered

" 'She' Georgie," he told him. "You call boats 'She'"

"Take me home Billy." Footsteps were heard behind them, and Adelaide turned around. It was the rest of their friends, including Beverly, who was fine now. Or appeared to be.

"Bill..." she started to say but stopped. She had a bad feeling about this Georgie thing.

"I wanna go home," Georgie whined, tears filling his eyes. Bill was starting to cry, she squeezed his hand lightly. "I miss you, I wanna be with mom and dad."

Bill looked down. "I want more than anything for you to be home," he mumbled. "With mom and dad. I miss you so much." Bill let go of her hand, starting to walk towards Georgie.

Georgie sniffled. "I love you, Billy."

"I love you too..." he said quietly. Adelaide turned to look at Richie, who gave her a comforting smile. But a small smile, a forced one.

Bill was breathing heavily as he raised the gun to Georgie's head. Adelaide covered her mouth as she watched. Georgie started to cry. "But you're not Georgie," he said, Bill fired the gun, a loud breath from him coming out. Georgie collapsed.

Adelaide slowly walked back to Bill, grabbing his hand as they watched. There were a few moments where Georgie seemed normal until he started shaking, which made the girl flinch. There was a scream that left his body as he started to transform into a clown. They all were staring in fear.

The clown stood. "Kill it, Bill! Kill it!" Eddie yelled.

"Shit," Richie mumbled. "Kill it!"

They were screaming for Bill to kill it, continually screaming for him to kill it. Bill fumbled for the gun.

Mike shook his head. "It's not loaded."

Pennywise grinned, staring at Bill and Adelaide, pointing the gun at him.

"Hey! It's not loaded!" Mike yelled.

Bill fired the gun and Pennywise made it seem like he was shot, shaking, before laughing loudly and pulling the gun from Bill's hands and hitting Adelaide with it. She fell it the ground. Her vision blurred.

"Addie!" Richie yelled and ran to pull her back with the rest of them. The clown first went for Bill, and Beverly tried to help with a metal pole but it didn't work. Then Mike, who the clown flung into his pile of stuff.

Bill was suddenly on the clown's back, fighting with a pole he had gotten. Richie ran over and jumped on Bill's back. "Fuck!" He yelled. All besides Adelaide and Mike were attacking the clown now.

Adelaide was trying to focus, but he vision was still blurred and her ears were ringing. She lifted her hand to touch her head and felt something warm. Blood. She was bleeding, a lot of it. "Shit..."

Mike got up and ran over, with a pole in hand. Trying to swing it and hit the clown without hitting their friends. Stanley was thrown off of the clown and rolled away.

"Stanley!" Beverly yelled.

They were all toppling off the clown, Eddie, then Richie, who Eddie went to help. Bill was the last one to be slammed down. "Bill!" Eddie and Richie both said in unison.

Adelaide started to refocus as she was pulled up by Eddie. "Addie cmon, we need you awake." His eyes were focused on her head. "Shit..."

She shook her head and backed up with the group. "It's okay," her words were slurred together.

The clown was starting to drag Bill away as they screamed. "Don't, please!" Beverly begged. "Let him go."

"No," the clown said. "I'll take him. I'll take all of you. And I'll feast in your flesh as I feed on your fear. Or, you'll just leave us be. I will take him, only him. And then I will have my long rest and you will all live to grow and thrive and lead happy lives until old age takes you back to the weeds."

Pennywise was growling. Adelaide was shaking her head. "No..." she mumbled. "Bill."

"Leave," Bill told them. "I'm the one who dragged you all into this. I-I'm so sorry." Pennywise laughed. They all stared. "Go!"

They didn't know what to do. "Guys we can't" Beverly suddenly said. "Ads back me up on this!"

"I uh..." she was still out of it, so she just nodded. Eddie had a hold of her, supporting her weight. Bill was still apologizing.

Richie finally stood up. "I told you, Bill. I fucking told you. I don't want to die. It's your fault." He said. Richie started pacing. "You punched me in the face, you made me walk through shitty water, you brought me to a fucking crackhead house, and now." He grabbed a bat from the pile. "I'm gonna have to kill this fucking clown."

Pennywise dropped Bill and started growling. "Welcome to the losers club asshole!" Richie screamed. He swung the bat and hit Pennywise in the face. Mike tried to hit him as well but he caught the pole with hands coming out of his throat, Mike's parents' hands. Stanley ran up and hit the hands with a stick, separating them. Richie hit him again and Pennywise started transforming into all their fears.

"Stan watch out!" Richie yelled as Pennywise darted towards him. Stanley hit him again. Mike was getting attacked, he was rolling away. Adelaide pushed herself off of Eddie and grabbed a pole from him, running up and stabbing Pennywise through the back.

Pennywise had a told of her tightly, not letting go. They all helped her away from the clown, hitting him again. She stumbled as she backed away. They were beating him, as they emit transforming. He threw up all over Eddie.

"I'm gonna kill you!" Eddie screamed, kicking him in the face.

It became Beverly's dad. "Hey Bevvie, are you still my little-" he started to say but was cut off by Beverly stabbing him down the throat with a scream. He started to choke and spit it out.

"Oh shit!" Eddie yelled.

Pennywise collapsed, backing away towards a cement tunnel, as he grunted and shook manically. Gasping for air as he started to laugh.

"That's why you didn't kill Beverly," Bill said as they all approached him. "C-C- cause she wasn't afraid. And we aren't either, not anymore. Now you're the ones who afraid. Because you're gonna starve."

Pennywise started to mumble something as he fell into his tunnel. Bill got ready to swing at him but he started to disappear into the air, into pieces. His head was shattered. "Fear," he said before falling all the way.

"I know what I'm doing for my summer experience essay," Richie joked, shaking his head as they watched. Bill turned and looked at Adelaide, hugging her tightly. She hugged him back:

"Guys," Eddie said, looking up. "Guys. The kids are floating down."

Bill pulled away, and they watched. Bill was staring down, Adelaide glanced at where he was staring, it was Georgie's jacket. They all approached him as Bill cried, Richie was the first to hug him but they all hugged one another. Adelaide could feel her head aching, pressure, everything hurt now.

She felt herself fall against Richie, and that was the last thing she remembered.
