I was 12 when this happened to me, and it scared the ever living life out of me....

  I had a Gameboy Color that my Dad had gotten for his birthday when he was a kid/teen. My dad gave me it and said I could do whatever I wanted with it, I decided to keep it. It had games like Pokémon Yellow, The Legend of Zelda, and... Pokémon Crystal Version!? Oh my Goodness, Yes!!!!!! I wanted to play this game so much! I ran to my room, Put the game cartridge in, and started a new game.

  I named my character Violet, and ran to get my beginner Pokémon. I could choose out of the 3 main Pokémon.

Cyndaquil: The Fire Quill Pokémon.

Totodile: The Big Jaw Pokémon.

Chikorita: The Leaf Pokémon.

I chose Chikorita, and named her Chippy. I trained her up, and I never evolved her. I was happy, but then when we went up against our rival...

I had to evolve her...

I could never beat him, and would always fail against him. I was saddened by this but evolved her anyway. The normal words appeared on screen saying, "Congratulations! Your Chippy evolved into a Bayleef!" The screen then glitched.

I looked at my Pokémon, all of my other Pokémon were okay, but Chippy wasn't... I clicked on Chippy's stats, and it said, "PSN" or Poisoned if you don't know what that means.

  I then quickly exited the stats, clicked on my bag, and tried using an antidote on Chippy. Then a text box appeared saying, "It won't have any effect..." I was confused. Why was it not working? I tried again, but it then said, "You can't heal a poisoned mind..." What? This can't be true! I tried using a potion, and it worked, so I decided to just continue using potions after every battle.

  After a few battles, Chippy evolved again. I then thought that Chippy was done being poisoned, thank Arceus!....

I was wrong...

  When I checked Chippy's stats, the PSN letters still taunted me and my Chippy. I then ran to the nearest Pokémon Center with my now level 100 Meganium, and talked to Nurse Joy. I gave her my Pokémon and she healed all but one....

Chippy...

   She handed my Pokémon back to me, and said, "I'm sorry, but we couldn't do anything about your Chippy... Please forgive us..." My character said nothing but "..." I then watched Violet's sprite walk out of the Pokémon Center, and walk to New Bark Town, using Surf to surf to the Kanto Region. I tried controlling my character, but it was useless.

She continued walking by herself to Lavender Town, she walked to "The Soul House," and She sat near a Pokémon Grave. I looked at my trainer card and the sprite was... Different... Her fists were clenched together, eyes were shadowed, and a frown overtook her face. I was concerned, Why did the sprite change. I then exited out of the trainer card, and looked at my Pokémon's names. My Lugia was named, "Awna're", although it's original name was Lugiana, My Ho-oh was named "HowCouldYou" when it's name was Firebird, My Raticate, "WhyDidYouRe?" Was named Green before, Pidgeot was changed to "ItHurts...", Ariados was "BrokenHeart." And Flaaffy was named "WhyWhyWhyWhy." I was scared, this couldn't be happening, how did it know my name? I didn't know what was wrong with my game, but when I put all of my Pokémon up, Meganium was once again, back in my Party...

"Why did you do this to me...?"

The text box said as I flinched, I then looked at my Trainer Card, and my trainer looked at me with bloodshot eyes. I dropped my Gameboy, and felt my face. I was crying... I slowly picked up my Gameboy again, and saw my Trainer's face had a menacing smile. She reached out for the screen, and a text box appeared again.

"Why did you do this to her?" It said with glitchy text, "Why did you evolve her?" I gasped as I realized what happened to Chippy....

She was dead....

  I clicked the A button, and she said, "Give her back to me... Or else..." I clicked "No" but she ignored it and kept saying "No" but I finally got a reaction when she said, "Fine.... I'll MaKe YoU tHeN...." The screen glitched again as I saw it restarted itself. The opening scene played, but Suicune was off of the title screen.

  I clicked on my save file, but it would always restart to the beginning title. The title changed everytime, the first time, Suicune was near a volcano edge. The second time, I saw a Gengar near a dead body of Chippy. The third was my rival reaching out of his grave, screaming for help and mercy, while Violet stood there, watching him die...

  I couldn't go on looking at the disturbing images on the screen. I started a new game, named my character Violet again, and went to get my Chikorita again, and named it Chippy.... But then I saw something wrong with my Trainer again.... She had darkened eyes, Violet pupils, and red and purple hair.... and she had a leaf coming out of her head like a Chikorita...

The screen flashed, and restarted itself again. The title was normal again, with Suicune running on water. I clicked start to get to the "CONTINUE" option, but when I tried opening it, it said, "I'm not going to let you do this again..." I then clicked "NEW GAME" It then said, "That won't happen again, You're not taking her away from me again..."

"We died because of you.... We are together again, and I won't let you take our happiness away again..."
                  ---Dead Violet...
