Chapter 24~ Enemies Of Power
Y/n's Point Of View
Wade and I sat together in the back of the taxi with some tunes on in the background. Wade just stared at his bandaged hand. "I hate you Elsa." He spat. Wade looked up ahead to see our apartment comin' into view. "Well, that had been a good ol' adventure!" I exclaimed, nudging Wade in the side. The driver turned his head to us. "Hey DP? Who is that gal?" He asked. Wade rolled his eyes, crossing his arms across his chest. "I forget her name......but she's apparently a 'goddess'." Wade answered, using air quotes on the word goddess. He didn't seem to like this 'goddess' and yet, they seemed to be good friends? His relationships were always confusing to begin with.
The taxi stopped. "Alright, here you lovebirds are!" The driver announced, turning his head to face me and Wade. Wade turned to the door and pushed it open. He got out and I followed. "Hey!" The taxi driver called to me. I stopped and turned around to see him handing me a note. "If you need a drive by, call me!" I took the piece of paper and looked down at the numbers written on it. I looked at the driver and smiled as the taxi drove away.
I followed behind Wade as we climbed up the stairs. I looked over at his hand to notice that the bandage had become completely red. And the smell stayed strong. We approached our apartment door and I dug my hands into my pockets, searching for my keys. I pulled out a metal object and noticed their appearnace. There they are! I approached the doorknob, inserting the key into the key hole. I twisted the knob and heard it click. I pulled the key out and twisted the knob, pushing open the door. Wade immendiatly raced to the couch, taking up the entire thing. All I just want is the luxury of my bed! I sluggishly made my way to the bedroom and tossed myself onto my bed. I closed my eyes only to be greeted by the sound of thumping. I decided to go investigate the sound and discovered Wade tossing a ball against the wall.
I just stood by the door frame, just watching with my arms crossed over my chest. Wade hummed a little tune to the rhythm of the ball hitting the wall. Honestly, today had been crazy. Could anyone really want to sleep through this? Probably... Wade looked over at me. He stopped tossing the ball, causing the ball to bounce against the wall and roll onto the floor. "Are you okay, 'cause I feel fine!" Wade said, sitting up on the couch. He scooted over so I could have a free seat. Wade patted the cushion, notifying me. I tilted my head to the side, resting my cheek on my knuckles. "How.........cute!" I exclaimed. I walked on over to the couch, sitting down and laying back, sinking into the cushions. Wade put a arm around me, pulling me close. I felt a sense of safety in this couch. It smelled of f/s and it's soft cushion massaged my buttocks. Now...this is what I call a good morning... I closed my eyes, entering into sweet slumber.
Silence filled the room with myself feeling better now that I decided to rest. Wade sat beside me, cuddling close. Unfortunately..........my slumber became broken when I heard a strange, singing ringtone.

Wade shifted his position causing me to open my eyes. He brought out his phone, pressing a button on the screen. He put the phone to his ear. I could barely hear some gibberish from a frantic woman's voice. "Sí madre." Wade responded. He lowered the phone from his ear and pressed a button, ending the call. Wade turned to me. "I got a kidnapped kid on my shoulders." He answered. Wade rose up from the couch and walked towards the front door. "What time will you be back?!" I yelled. He didn't respond and instead just opened the front door. He turned his head to look at me, his mouth movement turning into a grin. "C'mon!" He said, motioning a hand to the door. Do I dare trust him? "We're goin' shoppin'!" He announced. That sounds reasonable. I climbed over the couch and ran to the front door. Me and Wade rushed down the stairs and entered out of the hotel.
All around us were people going about their lives, nothin' real interestin'. I felt a tight grip on my shoulders and looked over to see Wade rest his chin on my shoulder. "So..." I began. Wade snapped out of his dazed state. He got off of me. He marched around to the front of me like a military officer. He then, turned to face me. "Now then..." His calm voice became loud and demanding. It kinda.......scared me. Wade bent down to my level, ourselves looking into each other's eyes. "Now precious Y/n L/n, do you have what it takes?" He asked me. I raised a eyebrow. "Is that suppose to be a insult Fred?" I asked, crossing my arms across my chest. "Ohhhhhh........ya got some sass in ya solider?" He shot back. I rolled my eyes at him. Wade chuckled and wrapped an arm around my neck. "Color me stoked!" He added. "To the Pool Mobile!" Wade announced. He pointed to a black and red hunchbuggy with his infamous face painted on the front. "Wait...if you had a car the entire time!" I began but Wade covered my mouth. "Shush now......shush now." He said, putting a finger to his lips. He grabbed my wrist and dragged me over to the so called 'Pool Mobile'. Wade opened the passenger side door and pushed me in. He closed the door behind me and with his fading footsteps, he appeared on the other side. I looked around and suprisingly! I ain't found no seatbelts! I looked up and gulped, accepting my fate.
Wade opened the door and sat down. I looked over at him with fear creeping onto my face. "Wade..." I began. Wade turned his head to me and suprisingly, with a bat mask on. "First lesson is, life doesn't give you seatbelts!" He announced. He slammed a foot onto a petal, driving into the hotel's front doors. The front window's glass shattered and flew. Wade turned to me. His bat mask had flown off. He then looked ahead. He sucked in a breath then muttered out a few curse words. He then looked down at the two petals and moved his foot to the brake. The car backed up slowly, with us beginning to see the damage to the hotel. The entire wall had become smashed through, people laid on the ground in pain, and debris fell onto the floor and the glass front doors had pretty much become non-existent. I cringed and sucked in a breath. "So sorry!" I yelled to the strangers. We felt a bump and the front of sidewalk appeared in front of us. I didn't even want to imagine the damage done to the front. Wade pulled onto the street and then, slammed a foot onto the other petal, making the car speed up. We were pushed back into our seats by such force and I felt nauseous. I looked over at Wade who seemed to be having the best day of his life! I turned my head over to the window and saw all those buildings go by. Then, the car came to a halt in front of a warehouse. Wade opened his door and got out.
I looked down, seeing the handle of which would give me freedom. I reached my hand down to the handle, wrapping my fingers around the warm leather. I pulled at the handle but I didn't see it open. I pulled again, still.....no! Third time's the charm! I pulled again and again, unfortunately nothing. I looked up at the window to see Wade just staring. I put my palms on the window. "Wade! Help me! I'm.....I'm stuck! The door won't budge!" I yelled. Wade shrugged and opened the door from the other side. I ran into his arms, tears just comin' down. "Thank.....Thank...Thank you!" I exclaimed. Wade put his hands on my shoulders and shook me gently. "Y/n! Y/n! Y/n! Calm down!" He yelled at me. I opened my eyes and looked up at him. "Jesus kid! I just installed a fuckin' child lock!" He yelled. Somehow, that stopped my whimpering. I just couldn't believe I got all worked up over a freakin' child lock. I wiped my eyes and gave Wade a small smile. "Don't worry..........'bout me too much........I...I can take care of myself!" I said, giving him a thumbs up. "Yeah...you'll be fine..." Wade responded, chuckling afterwards. We approached the warehouse doors. Wade put a foot on the door, pushing it open. The door let out a creak as we saw light flood into a dark room. Me and Wade entered into the warehouse, listening to the sound of silence. Hello darkness my old friend. Wade cupped his hands around his mouth. "Weasel!" Wade called out. I looked into the darkness, not knowing anything about this mysterious place. The lights flickered on, letting out a loud hum.
A skinny man with messy black hair rested his head on a table. All around him lay cups of coffee, maps, blueprints, and a bit of the infamous Mary Jane. Wade and I approached the sleeping man. I bit my lip in my nervous state. Wade slammed a hand onto the table. The man recluently opened his eyes. I noticed his tired features. He had bags underneath his dark eyes, he smelled of cociane, and probably worse, his eyes were bloodshot. The man lifted his head up and looked over to a mug in the corner of the table. He grabbed it and tossed a dark liquid into his face. "Sup..........Spider.....man!" He said in a drowsy voice. His head collasped once again on the table. "Poor kid..." Wade whispered. I looked over at Wade. Wade looked over at me. Wade shrugged. "He's been working overtime! I...I...I swear!" Wade defended. I looked over at the man's rising head.
He looked ahead, a little droopy. He turned his head to face us, giving us a smile. His appearance quite scared me. "So...where's the gift?" Wade asked the man. "Wade!" I hissed at him. Why does he instantly act like the poor guy owes him somethin'? The guy nodded and stood up. He motioned us to follow. We walked over to a wall and he pressed a button in the wall. We watched as a f/c outfit much like Wade's Deadpool's appeared. It had two long dark f/c boots with several pouches running up and down. At the waist of the outfit were several pouches. The head piece had a helmet like structure with the eyes having big dark shades f/c circles. The entire color of the outfit is a dark f/c. "Wait............tell me you didn't put panties/boxer shorts on the outside." Wade suggested. The man turned to face us, crossing his arms across his chest. "Nah...you said it had pretty much become a cliché." The man commented. Wade nodded then looked at me. Wade put a hand on his chin, stopping to think.
The man brought down the suit and handed it to me. "What shall we call ya? Hmm.........Gwenpool?" Wade suggested. "Uhhhhhhhh...." I responded. "No, that's alright taken." Wade stated. Then, he started snapping his fingers and pointed at me. "Wait! Ladypool! No! She be pissed..." Wade began to ramble on and on with name suggestions. I just stared down at my outfit. "Maybe...A/N?" I suggested. Wade immendiatly shut his mouth. He then clapped at my descion.
"Good luck out there..." The man mumbled as he walked over to the table.
