i shrugged. "she told me so."

we met up a few days after the outing, finally talking to each other once again.

"i'm sorry i didn't say anything."

"it's okay... but you should've just told me."

"i thought it wouldn't get this complicated."

"right. i'm sorry too."

we got silent, then burst out laughing.
