Resident Evil games and movies are the only ones that I like when it comes to zombies. I searched for Ladybug zombie fanfics but some have not completed the stories. This time, there are no secrets from the heroes since they are struggling in an apocalypse.

A year ago Monarch has made the biggest mistake from his crazy madness by akumatizing a victim that has watched too many zombie movies and now Paris has been turned into an apocalyptic city filled with survivors and undead zombies. Ladybug has already unmasked Monarch and claimed all the miraculous back, including the butterfly one. Adrien, well, he was beyond angry that he was too oblivious to not see that his father manipulated him all along to hide secrets from him so that he won't know.

Felix saw the news that Paris is in danger and that it was his own fault for trading all the miraculous to his uncle and it lead to something far worse than betrayal. So instead, he wanted to help since he was responsible for this but when he came to Paris, his uncle was already dying from the cataclysm with magic technology for his cell prison, it kept him alive for a year but it didn't stop the spread of the cataclysm.

So now, Ladybug and Cat Noir will make sure to restore Paris but the zombies could not be cured without the magic ladybugs. Instead of their weapons, they have to use guns to shoot the monsters in their heads.

Ladybug and Cat Noir were now running from a zombie swarm and are trying to not get bitten. The feline had his M16 rifle, shooting at them in the heads but more kept coming.

"Milady! They are getting much uglier every day when I see one!" Cat Noir yowled and kept shooting them while backing away.

"If only your father hasn't gone insane for this! He always thinks he's like a God!" Ladybug fired her crossbow at them.

"I was manipulated and tricked, princess! I couldn't disobey him!" Cat Noir got tackled by one but he kicked him off and shot it in the head, "But yes, now I so hate my own father who just can't move on from the past!"

"Good, because he's burning in hell!" Ladybug reloaded her crossbow. Suddenly Kagami, now once again Ryuko leaps out and decapitates the zombies with her sword.

"The dragon has arrived," Cat Noir said.

"Yeah, at your service" Ryuko drew her sword back.

"Man, these things are getting uglier every time I see them wanting to eat us!" Ladybug shot them in the head.

"No kidding, milady. We must protect the survivors" Cat Noir said.

They can hear a flute playing and the illusions of brains appear everywhere. The zombies followed them, ignoring the heroes.

"Smart move, Rena Rouge," Ladybug said.

"Thanks but get moving! Now!" Rena Rouge said before the zombies realize that the illusions aren't real.

The four heroes ran quickly to get back to their safehouse where some survivors lived at.

"Quick! Get in!" Luka let them in.

"Where's Viperion to play his lovely snake music?" Cat Noir got in.

"I had to look after the others," Luka said.

The military men from outside are now taking care of the zombies trying to get in while the heroes detransformed to let their kwamis rest.

"Bless us, father" Marinette said to the priest.

"We never lost belief in you, Ladybug. You and Cat Noir never give up on us" The priest said.

"But has God tried everything?" Adrien asked.

"Our faith has kept us all safe from the apocalypse. One day the whole thing will be over" The priest said.

"And how's that monster doing in his prison for a year while suffering the plague spreading his body slowly?" Adrien asked, growling a little at the mention of his cruel father that caused Paris to become dead.

"He's still being damned for his actions, boy," The priest said.

"And I hope he is still damned" Adrien heads downstairs to see his father while Plagg stays close.

There were times that Gabriel was desperate to use the miraculous to make that wish but Adrien forbids him from creating a world of madness. When he saw his father, the cataclysm has taken a worse turn. Adrien is still traumatized from that night at the wax museum when his own father forced him to cataclysm him.

"My, you're a mess, Gabriel," He said.

"Still alive?" Gabriel was hoping his son would not survive this apocalypse for a year.

"Yeah, because of your foolish mistake, Paris is in ruins by zombies. And no more secrets for the heroes to keep!" Adrien said.

"I told you! I was trying to bring your mother back so we can be a family!" Gabriel said.

"That's the past, Gabriel. This is now! Mother accepted her fate and left a request to Nathalie to look after me. Because of you, Nathalie is dead! Your actions of living in the past create no future!" Adrien glared, "And you endangered all of Paris because of your selfish goal!" He approached him, "You think mom would want this just to be a happy family?! How many innocents have you akumatized and destroyed their hopes and dreams?! How many times have you put me in direct danger with your puppets?! If I was really dead, I would be reunited with my mother! No, Gabriel! Your madness lead to this! You're always a coward that couldn't do it by yourself to fight me and Ladybug! That's why you always fail. You don't know the meaning of love or family" Adrien nuzzled Plagg, showing what it means to care for a kwami.

"You're gonna regret imprisoning me, Adrien! Do you hear me?!" Gabriel stood up in the cage.

"I hear ya. But you were never my father when mom died" Adrien glared.

"Not to mention you mistreated my fellow kwamis," Plagg said.

"Just like you used me for your brand, manipulated me with lies so I wouldn't find out, and destroyed my happiness" Adrien added.

"I did what was best for you!" Gabriel accused.

"No, you were doing it for yourself. And you do that by winning off the backs of everyone! Including me!" Adrien yelled, "And I wish you weren't my dad," He said before leaving him.

Marinette was talking to Alya and the girls to give hope and justice that they will find Lila who was the one who willingly got akumatized and caused this apocalypse.

"I never knew she'd gone so far causing all this from her zombie interests," Rose said.

Marinette was a little upset with her friends for putting too much trust in Lila when all this time, she was manipulating them with lies.

"And for her manipulating us like brainless puppets into believing Marinette was the bad one. I'm so ashamed of myself for that" Alya recalled.

"I told you a while ago, lying can be one powerful superpower," Marinette said.

"I'm still so sorry, Marinette," Alya said.

"I was afraid that you all would believe her over me. She once said that I will end up alone with no one and she almost succeeded" Marinette walks into her room.

"Well, she got a dose of her own medicine now. She has no one but herself to the end" Juleka said.

"Ah, yes" Marinette nodded.

"We all wanted to make her feel welcome but I guess our kindness makes us easily fooled," Mylene said.

"But you know what they say, she was a wolf in sheep's clothes," Marinette said.

"Or rather a snake that we let bite," Alya said.

"Or worse, a liar who cried wolf," Juleka said.

"Yeah. Even though Monarch is defeated, he left his price on the city and my reveal to you all" Marinette said.

"And Adrien's," Alya said.

"Yeah. And I feel horrible for rejecting and treating him badly as Ladybug" Marinette said sadly.

"I was obsessed with the boy I love; I was not focused on saving Paris and because of my obsession, Felix traded all the miraculous to Gabriel. I created a bigger mess" She added.

Suddenly, the barrier doors opened and the truck drove in as the barrier doors closed up before the zombies tried to get in but some were crushed.

The driver was Argos and he was covered in bloodied flesh remains and breathing in exhaustion.

"Felix?! What the bloody hell happened?!" Adrien asked but was still angry at him. He never forgets his grudge.

Argos removes all the bloodied remains and angrily looks at his cousin, "I am so done with these things chasing my ass every day! And don't bring up that incident of what I did horribly wrong to betray all of you!" He threw the rotten intestine off his leg.

"Fine but if it weren't for you trading all the miraculous, none of this would have happened!" Adrien crossed his arms.

"Save that later! I've brought in more survivors!" Argos opened the back door of the truck.

"I hope you checked them all," Adrien said.

"I did and none of them are bitten, just traumatized" Argos said and letting them off the truck, "Look, I know you still hold a grudge but I still did not like what you all did to those sentimonsters by sending them to the sun"

"They nearly destroyed Paris, Felix. If you so hated my father, you could've bitten his face as Flairmidable, not make a deal" Adrien said, scanning the survivors for infections.

"Yes, that's why I'm helping the survivors to make up with everyone" Argos detransformed.

"She's clean" Adrien checked one woman, "Be careful what you wish for. You said you wanted a free world. Well, here it is" Adrien said sarcastically to his cousin.

"Of living people, not undead," Felix said.

"Ha ha ha" Adrien mockingly laughed.

Nearby Marinette looked through the secured window over Paris, "Once the City of Love, now the City of the Dead" Marinette sighed.

"We'll find that liar, Marinette" Tikki said.

"I hope. If she's even sentient enough to know us" Marinette said.

"Princess?" Adrien walks in.

"Adrien!" Marinette clung onto him.

"Oh, Princess. I know how it feels with our home like this" Adrien held her close to his chest.

"Lila is out there somewhere," Marinette said.

"If so, she's more rotten than before," Adrien said.

"And you still don't trust that blue bird?" Marinette asked, knowing that he still holds a grudge.

"No, he was one bad dog too. But now we have no choice but to let him be part of the survivors" Adrien brings her to the bed and made her sit on his lap, "Even though all the bad we've been through, my love for you still remains" Adrien said.

"Yeah. It keeps us inseparable, even though all we've been through" Marinette said.

Adrien lies on top of her, knowing he has already claimed her, "Milady, we'll find that liar. It's my fault that I stopped you from exposing her"

"I don't blame you, Kitty. We all do mistakes" Marinette said.

"Puuuuuuuuurrrrrrrr" Even without the costume, he can purr like a cat.

"Am I dreaming or did you just purr?" Marinette heard him purr.

"Was it too cute?" Adrien does his cocky grin.

"Yeah, works even for you, handsome" Marinette caressed his cheek.

"And I'm always your favorite cat, bugaboo" Adrien purred.

"Come here you" Marinette leans in to kiss him.
