Twisted Apparition

Extra: BODY HORROR WARNING

Natsuki's POV
__________________

I can see demons, ghosts, angels, and the like. Yeah, I know it sounds weird but getting beat by your father to near death reapeatedly appearently does that to a person. Anyway, because of my little gift, curse, whatever you'd like to call it. I found friendship in the ghosts of this world, made peace between humans and the twisted demon that lurks in their closet, and convinced a few angels that Jesus actually drank apple juice and not wine but he said he drank wine because he wanted to look cool and hardcore for the people of his religion. Which, isn't true by the way, Jesus drank wine. Due to my ability to see and empathize with most of what I deal with, my apartment has kind of become a foster home for ghosts. I have to admit, if something were to scare me now, it'd have to be pretty damn horrifying. Anyway, police and goverment got word of my talent and now I kinda just roam around the place doing paranormal work for them. Today is one of those scenarios, I was called to some old bunker to check out the echoed sounds of a girl crying.

"This place is rusty as fuck.. Who'd even come down here in the first place?" I asked turning on the lights. "It's a natural disaster shelter our guy inherited, he was coming down to turn it into a man cave when he heard the crying sound. He looked around and he was the ony one in the building. Which is why we called some eighteen year old girl who claims she can see ghosts." The officer who escorted me to the premisise said with a snarky tone. I really hate this guy. I rolled my eyes. "Yeah well, it's obvious something bad happened here then, any more info?" I asked, turning to him. "Actually yes, the guy's wife came down here for an entire hour trying to hear the crying but it never happened for her." He informed, I took a look around the place. "Alright, so whatever happened had to deal with a male as the agressor." I paused. "Which makes me happy I'm a girl, because that will make it one hundred times easier." I finished off. He let out a sigh, begining to walk back up the stairs with no more words.

I began to take a look around, almost immediately noticing a large metal door. I opened it, the light doesn't reach this room so I had to take out my flash light. Scanning over the room and. "Oh, there you are." I whispered as my light hit a girl of purple hair, she was huddled in a corner, hiding her face behind her arms, her knees were brought up to her chest. She looked up at me.

"Holy shit.." I thought, as this girl had not one, not two, but at least ten eyes scattered across her upper face. All of the eyes besides the two in natural places looked like they were stitched on, but they all worked properly. "𝖂- 𝖜𝖍𝖔 𝖆𝖗𝖊 𝖞𝖔𝖚?" She asked, practically whispering. I gave her a small smile. "I'm Natsuki, nice to meet you." I said taking a step closer. The girl flinched as a took a step, so I decided to back off. "What's your name?" I asked, taking a seat in the doorway. "𝖂𝖍𝖞 𝖜𝖔𝖚𝖑𝖉 𝕴 𝖙𝖊𝖑𝖑 𝖞𝖔𝖚?" She responded, she wasn't being cold, not sassy either. Well, she was trying to act like she was but she, she's just scared. "I'm with the good guys, and I need your name so I can help save you." I said with a smile, just trying to calm her down a bit. "𝕴𝖙'𝖘 𝖄𝖚𝖗𝖎. 𝕸𝖞 𝖓𝖆𝖒𝖊 𝖎𝖘 𝖄𝖚𝖗𝖎 𝖂𝖍𝖎𝖙." The girl said after a few moments. I wrote that down on a piece of paper. "Alright, Yuri. Do you remember anything besides just sitting here in this dark room?" I asked, scooching a bit closer. She thought for a moment. "𝕴𝖙'𝖘 𝖍𝖆𝖗𝖉 𝖙𝖔, 𝖇𝖚𝖙 𝖞𝖊𝖘 𝕴 𝖗𝖊𝖒𝖊𝖒𝖇𝖊𝖗. 𝕴'𝖉 𝖗𝖆𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖗 𝖓𝖔𝖙 𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖚𝖌𝖍, 𝖒𝖞 𝖑𝖎𝖋𝖊 𝖆𝖘 𝕴 𝖗𝖊𝖒𝖊𝖒𝖇𝖊𝖗 𝖎𝖙 𝖜𝖆𝖘 𝖆𝖇𝖘𝖔𝖑𝖚𝖙𝖊 𝖍𝖊𝖑𝖑." She said, looking away from me. I let out a huff. "You don't have to tell me, but if you can tell me something, anything, It'll help in the end." I said, grabbing my notebook and getting ready to write. Yuri looked around for a moment she was clearly on edge. She took a deep breath "𝕬𝖑𝖗𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙,"

"𝕴 𝖗𝖊𝖒𝖊𝖒𝖇𝖊𝖗 𝖘𝖎𝖙𝖙𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝖎𝖓 𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖘 𝖗𝖔𝖔𝖒 𝖆𝖘 𝖆 𝖈𝖍𝖎𝖑𝖉, 𝕴'𝖒 𝖓𝖔𝖙 𝖘𝖚𝖗𝖊 𝖍𝖔𝖜 𝖞𝖔𝖚𝖓𝖌. 𝕭𝖚𝖙 𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖘 𝖒𝖆𝖓, 𝖓𝖔, 𝖉𝖊𝖛𝖎𝖑, 𝖆𝖑𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖚𝖌𝖍 𝖍𝖊 𝖋𝖊𝖉 𝖒𝖊 𝕴 𝖜𝖆𝖘 𝖙𝖗𝖆𝖕𝖕𝖊𝖉, 𝖓𝖊𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖙𝖔 𝖘𝖊𝖊 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖑𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙 𝖔𝖋 𝖉𝖆𝖞. 𝕴 𝖜𝖆𝖘 𝖚𝖘𝖊𝖉 𝖋𝖔𝖗 𝖊𝖝𝖕𝖊𝖗𝖎𝖒𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖘. 𝕿𝖍𝖊𝖞 𝖒𝖔𝖛𝖊𝖉 𝖒𝖞 𝖈𝖔𝖗𝖕𝖘𝖊 𝖔𝖚𝖙 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖘𝖆𝖒𝖊 𝖉𝖆𝖞. 𝕭𝖚𝖙 𝕴'𝖒 𝖘𝖙𝖚𝖈𝖐 𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖊."

"Good god." I thought to myself, i'd be doing a lot more than just crying if that was my fate. "Thank you, so much Yuri. You're a big help. Are you tied to anything in specific or the house itself?" I asked setting down the notebook that was now full of info. "𝕿𝖔 𝖒𝖞 𝖍𝖆𝖎𝖗𝖕𝖎𝖓. 𝕿𝖍𝖆𝖙'𝖘 𝖙𝖍𝖊 𝖔𝖓𝖑𝖞 𝖙𝖍𝖎𝖓𝖌 𝕴 𝖗𝖊𝖒𝖊𝖒𝖇𝖊𝖗 𝖆𝖇𝖔𝖚𝖙 𝖒𝖞 𝖒𝖔𝖒, 𝖘𝖍𝖊 𝖌𝖆𝖛𝖊 𝖎𝖙 𝖙𝖔 𝖒𝖊. 𝕴𝖙'𝖘, 𝖔𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖙𝖍𝖊𝖗𝖊." She responded, pointing to the small, dusty dim purple hairpin. I picked it up, holding it gently. "Alright, how about we go take a road trip, I'll clean up the hairpin, and then I'll go to the station. You can have the choice if you want to come with me to the police station or stay at my apartment." I said with a smile, looking at the pin. "𝕴'𝖉 𝖑𝖎𝖐𝖊 𝖙𝖔 𝖘𝖙𝖆𝖞 𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖍 𝖞𝖔𝖚." Yuri responded almost immediately. She's warming up to me, that's good. I can kinda tell what type of person she is, once she's warmed up she'll want to stay with me wherever I go, of course I'm going to let her come. She'll be practically attatched to me, maybe even become obsessive. I don't mind, the only casual human interaction I get is from ghosts anyway, I'd like to have one actually wanting to follow around me like a puppy or something. "Okay. Let's go then." I said, standing up and grabbing my notebook. Yuri stood after I did, her mouth appears to have been ripped off then welded shut, and she has one giant beast like mouth spanning across the top of her chest area. That beastly maw was curved into a small smile. That's okay, that's nice even. She's warmed up to me, she feels safe enough to smile, that's good. I led her out of the bunker, a smile on my face. She's finally getting the second chance she deserves after god knows how many years of just sitting in darkness and weeping.
