"Oh, sorry, Natsuki, guess I'm too much of sick bastard to realize." Yuri scoffed, Natsuki furrowed her brows. "Fine, if your gonna be like that then I'll give you some time to cool off." She growled. Why would Yuri say that? Did she not know Natsuki was just joking? Did she not like her anymore? What did she do wrong? She didn't give Yuri a chance to respond, slamming the clubroom door shut, not bothering to take any of her stuff with her. Sure, Natsuki was mad, she was very mad with Yuri for saying that. But she was more sad then anything, they had just recovered from their last fight and they were actually becoming friends again. This wasn't Yuri's fault though. It was Natsuki's, her fault. She's the one who called Yuri a sick bastard in the first place. She was the one who always started their fights, always her. Yuri just wanted to read with her, and when she giggled at the fact Natsuki was having a hard time reading she called her that. Natsuki knew it was her fault, she was completely aware, but at the same time she didn't want to say anything more because she didn't want to fuck up her relationship anymore then she already did. But who was she kidding anyway? Yuri probably hated her again. This is exactly why she never kept friends, her dumbass remarks and attitude always push people away. No matter how tolerant they are, Natsuki always finds a way to push her limits. Natsuki was almost certain Yuri was mad at her for leaving like she did. But what else was Natsuki to do? She had already told Yuri she had trouble telling people how she felt. She had already told her she tends to lock herself away from the world when she gets overwhelmed. So why did Yuri have to say that? Why did Yuri have to make Natsuki feel so guilty, more guilty then she already felt when she learned Yuri took offence when she said it? All Natsuki wanted to do was repair an old friendship.

She opened the school doors and continued her walk. At this point Natsuki didn't care if her father beat the shit out of her from coming home early. She deserved it anyway. She was always the one at fault when her and Yuri fought anyway. Had Yuri ever thought about what was happening with Natsuki? Had she ever given Natsuki the time to apologize? No, she didn't. Maybe that's what was wrong. Natsuki was never allowed to voice what she thought. But at the same time, she didn't want to stop trying to be Yuri's friend. Because Yuri was the only one who listened to her, the only one who was there for her. She didn't want to be left alone with no shoulder to cry on, not again. She didn't want to have to sit in a ball on the floor telling herself everything would be alright, that she just needed to live another day to see when it is. Natsuki made an attempt to stop tears from flowing, but eventually she let them fall, she had lost track of where she was walking an ended up in the neighborhood park, she sat down by a tree and wrapped her arms around herself. Yuri would probably start drifting away from her again, like she always does. Then Natsuki would make a pathetic plan to earn her sympathy, like she always does. Were they destined to stay in this same cycle? Destined to need each other but hate the other at the same time? Natsuki had lost count of how many times she asked herself this question. It really didn't matter anyway, she knew the game by now.

She heard soft  footsteps coming closer by the second. It was time to play again. "Hey, Natsuki." Yuri took a seat by the pink-haired girl. "Hey." Natsuki responded blankly. "I-" Yuri took a moment to think out her words. "I'm sorry I said what I did." She said not bothering to make eye contact. "I'm sorry too, I was even more out of line then you were." Natsuki said wiping away some of her tears. "If you'd like to, do you think we could, put this behind us?" Yuri asked finally looking over to the other girl. Natsuki smiled. Maybe this could be the last time this happens, maybe this is where they repair broken bonds. "Sure, I' d like that." Natsuki said flashing a her signature toothy grin. Yuri smiled at Natsuki's mood change. "Thank you, there's still some time left for the club, if you'd like to pick up where we left of reading." She said standing again, reaching her hand out towards Natsuki. Natsuki took her hand and stood. "Alright, just don't make fun of my reading skills this time." She said asserting tsundere dominance. Yuri giggled. "I promise I wont." She responded. Everything is normal again, they're friends again. Hopefully this is the last time this happens, but Natsuki still had that sinking feeling in her stomach.

This game will never end.
