Robin V x reader
Damian won't be coming in for a while. I just want to write you as a badbutt superhero for a bit.
Btw, Rose (the deathstroke looking girl up in the media) isn't in the Teen Titans at this time.

I was late for the meeting of the new team member. This was bad too, I was the 'appointed by the team' team leader, so this was going to make a super bad first impression on the kid. But what was I supposed to do? Not save a little boy from getting raped and killed? No way. This team member was going to have to wait. I swung down, raising my fists.
The man didn't notice me at first, but the boy did. He cried out for me. The man turned around, showing me his face clearly. Bad idea, he should have worn a mask. Just saying. Now I know who he is, and I'm gonna personally make sure he has at least a extra few years in prison.
He glared at me, and gripped the boy harder. The boy stopped crying, but his eyes were glistening with tears. Brave kid. I wonder how he managed to get taken by this man.
"Randall, release the boy, and no body will get hurt," I offered. I knew he wasn't going to take me up on the offer, but it was like a superhero code to give the bad guy at least one chance.
"No way, I need this boy!" He yelled and started to shake the boy a little. Disgust tore threw me. How could someone be so sick and gross?
"I won't warn you again," I tried once more, getting ready.
"Eff you!" He screamed, but not saying 'eff'. He tossed the boy to the side, and he hit the ground harshly. I stepped forward.
"That was your first mistake!" I was close enough to take a few steps and punch him. I noticed the gun in his pocket, and palmed under his nose, easily breaking it. He cried out for pain, but kept going.
Randall reached for his gun.
"And that is your second mistake!"
I didn't know if I wanted to use my Khopesh or Khanda sword to take him down. The Khopesh would definitely bring more pain to him... Khanda it is then! Superhero rule #031 'Do not bring unnecessary pain to your foe.'
By the time I unsheathed my Khanda sword (it's full name is Sikh Khanda actually) and brought it up, Randal had his gun up, and pointed toward my head. His hands were shaking.
His eyes drifted toward my sword and he smirked.
"I have the advantage here," he said confidently. I don't know where he got that idea, just because he has a gun doesn't mean anything. He shot, and forgot my only ability. The ability to absorb energy (and send it back out again if I'm feeling strong enough). I opened my palm, and the bullet dissolved into energy, and sank into my skin. A shiver ran throughout my body.
"Forgetting something?" I smirk.
His mouth opened into a perfect 'O'.
I raised my sword, and smirked.

After I brought the boy home and throughly scolded the mother for letting him walk home alone, I made my way to Titan Tower. I still hated how open it was, and was trying to move our 'base of operations', but everyone else thought it was fine, and that we were stronger then any villain. I even asked Batman for goodness sake, thinking he would agree with me.
But he just said that if we wanted to move, it had to be on our own lterms, with our own money, and with no help from the YJL or the JL.
But at least we have another member to help protect this tower of terror. I laughed at the thought.
"Hiya gorgeous," Garfield greeted as I walked through the doors. I smiled at him, but didn't bother to ask him to stop calling me that like I usually did. It's not like he could call me by my real name, because I've never told anyone. That has to do with the Titan Tower also. I'm scared that a villain is hiding a small microphone somewhere and will over hear my name being said, then track down my family and my friends and kidnap them and-
You get the point.
"Hi Gar. So where's our new teammate?" I question.
He rolls his eyes.
"I don't know, probably off sulking after Batman told him off," he grinned.
A he then. He must be some sort of troublemaker if Batman told him off and Garfield doesn't seem to like him.
"Do you know where he is though? I still have to introduce myself."
He sighed.
"He might be in the gym," he said reluctantly.
"Thanks, see ya later."
I made my way to the gym, waving to anyone I passed.
When I saw him, all I could think was he will be a good addition to the team. He showed total confidence and seemed very comfortable swinging his katana around. He looked strong, and held a neutral look on his face. He looked a few years younger then me. 14 or 15 maybe.
He was practicing sets with his katana, and I started to get excited. Finally someone to spar with. No one else on the team knew how to wield any type of sword, so I was left to practice on my own.
"Hey!" I called. Startled, his muscles contracted and he missed a step. I laughed. He turned to me.
"Hi, I'm-"
"Winona, I know. Material artist, linguist, supposed meta-human, friends with Flash, Black Canary, Hawk woman, and apparently you're one of the smartest people Batman knows."
I was stunned for a moment. Then I winked and said, " Well, if you know so much about me, you must know that I love my swords, and I especially love using them. Wanna spar with me?"
He looked away and nodded as we got into our positions. He had his
sword out in front of him, ready to attack. I tilted my head to the side, studying his actions.
"Aren't you going to take out your sword?"
I gave him a small smile and shook my head no. I was going to try a different style of fighting with him. It's more of a deal about being graceful and light on the feet. Making quick decisions and using light, swift slices with the desired blade. A fight that should last only minutes.
We circled each other, my body straight up, while his was bent over a little, protecting his most vulnerable parts, his belly. I was deciding on whether or not to use my Khopesh or Khanda. I always do this, and most of the time I choose the Khanda. But only because it is more blunt then the Khopesh. Less dangerous. I had a feeling that with this boy though, the Khopesh would give me a better chance of fighting.
Finally he stepped forward, and sliced his katana downward. I leaned back a little, the katana skimming my belly, but I absorbed it. He had a look of surprise, but didn't falter. He brought his katana around and toward my neck. I didn't move, and he slightly slowed down. This was all I needed to know.
Almost as fast as the Flash himself, I brought my hand up, unsheathed my sword and swung it behind me clanging against Robin's katana. His katana was slightly weaker then the Khopesh, but neither of us said anything. As long as I didn't try to kill him, we'd be fine.
We were pushing against each other. Our eyes connected, and I gave him a little smirk. I felt a small release of tension in my forearm and with a burst of energy (not my powers) I pushed against him extra hard. He pushed back just as hard, our blades screeching just a little as they slid across each other. Taking a breath, I let go and slipped out of the way. I put one of my feet in front of him and he tripped. Robin didn't have time to recuperate as his body was already falling to the ground.
His mask shifted and his mouth opened in surprises I hooked one of my legs around his leg, and grabbed his waist. He stood there, a couple feet from the ground, completely in my mercy. If I let him go, he would fall no matter what he did. Or I could be nice and help him up.
We stood there for a few moments before I dropped him and sheathed my Khopesh.
I brought my wrist up to my face and pressed the screen. Small numbers popped up and made me smile.
"I'm pretty sure this is the fastest time I've ever taken someone down. 1 minutes and 23 seconds," I commented. Robin hadn't moved from his spot, probably embarrassed.
He's not a bad fighter, it's just because I notice things and I can tell what's about to happen before it happens. I've always assumed it was a part of my powers, but my mom use to tell me it was just another part of the Novak family charm. Whatever that means. My family is just a bunch of hunters and rednecks.
Plus, I've gotten many lessons in physiology from my good friend Black Canary. I'm very good at reading people. And from what Robin has shown me so far, I would assume he likes me a little.
I leaned down and shook his shoulder. He was being childish, laying here like that. There was no reason to feel embarrassed.
"Robin, c'mon, its not your fault. I've been training since I was young and my abilities help me win all of my fights. I know what you're going to do even before you do it." I patted his back and got up again.
I turned towards Robin just as a hand was around my foot, and I was pulled to the ground. My back slammed against the ground.
"Did you know I was going to do that?"
I laughed and sat up. My back was already starting to feel sore from the force he used.
He sat up too and we sat there.
He gave me a cocky look, and I knew he couldn't get away with this.
I tackled him to the ground again, my arm around his neck and my body pressing against his. He pulled at my hand. We were in a wrestling pose, both of us struggling to gain power.
"1, 2, 3, 4, 5! Knockout!"
I cheered and let go of him. He rubbed his neck and scowled at me.
"I'm guessing you've never wrestled before?" I questioned. He looked away, and I patted his shoulder.
"I can teach you, if you'd like."
He finally gave me a small smile.
"I think I'd like that."
I know, it has like a million flaws. But I hoped you enjoyed!
