First Date Jitters

They loved you. Cool. But what was your first date, mate?

Mary Marvel:
She had asked you to join her to the indie movie festival.

Her brother Billy had two extra tickets from his job as a Radio Host. He was going to be busy with some Justice League stuff, so he gave them to her instead and heavily implied that she should take you to it.

You were caught a bit off guard, but you accepted the invite with a smile that made her blush.

She tried her best to look as casual as possible, yet to also look nice incase things went well. You also dressed up and cleaned yourself up a bit better.

The festival itself was pretty grand. You both realized that there was a lot to see and you were more than happy to see them together. You even got to meet a few of the directors of the films and talked to them.

When it was time to go, you walked Mary home. She could tell you loved how the day went, but you weren't really talking about the films. You were instead asking her how things were going with her family and how her school work was coming along.

She finally decided to summon up some of that courage of Achilles and asked you a question.

Mary: Was this a date?

You both stopped walking and looked at each other.

Y/N: Uh....

Mary: Because, I, I don't want this to be weird or anything.

You shrugged. You then smiled shyly.

Y/N: I mean, you're the one who asked me to tag along. So if you wanted this to be a date, I guess we can count it as one.

Mary: Yes.

Y/N: Huh?

Mary: I-I mean, yeah. We can count this as a date. Yes, sir. This was totally a date. A normal date.

You chuckled a bit and held out your hand. Mary took it in hers and you walked her home.

You were both unaware that her siblings were all watching you from the upstairs window when you finally dropped her off.

Star Girl:
She asked you a very simple question.

Courtney: Wanna go on a date?

She asked you while you were looking through your locker. You were a bit shocked by her sudden question, but you were surpised to find yourself actually entertaining the idea.

Y/N: Sure.

Courntey: Cool. Pick me up at 7.

She turned around and walked off to her class. You just shrugged and went back to what you were doing.

Y/N: Wait.....I don't even know where she lives.

Your dad let you use his car and you were able to find out where Courtney lived thanks to one of her friends. When you showed up, you knocked on the front door which was answered by her step dad, Pat. You had already met him a few times before so he was happy to see you.

Courtney appeared and you both left to get some dinner and milkshakes at the local dinner. It wasn't fancy, but you were both highschoolers in a small town.

Besides, you both had a good time. You even got to know more about her background in gymnastics and her life back in LA.

However, when you were driving her home, you just had to ask...

Y/N: Why did you ask me out?

Courtney didn't answer. Feeling like you made things awkward and not wanting to leave things this way, you made a detour.

You parked the car on the edge of a cliff and got out. Courntey followed and you both laid on the hood to watch the stars.

(To Be Continued!)

Zatanna:
She had asked you to join her for a drink.

Feeling like it was unfair of her to always show up to your performances, you decided to go to one of hers. You absolutely loved it. And when the show was over, she suggested the two of you get some drinks at the bar.

You paid, of course.

You both chatted about nothing in particular. She had asked how your new apprenticeship with Dr. Fate was going and you did your best to just avoid the subject. When she finally dropped it, she ordered another drink.

After three or so each, you both started to laugh at horrible stories you told each other. You were both getting tired, but neither you nor her wanted the night to end.

So you decided to go for a walk. The streets were nice and quiet. Well lit, too. You gave her your jacket to keep her warm and you offered to walk her home.

The entire way, she felt a warm feeling in her chest. When you finally did reach her home, she gave you your jacket back and thanked you for the lovely night together.

She then kissed your cheek and told you goodnight.

You stood on the street for a moment after she went inside. You just smiled and headed home.

You both agreed that this was your first date, even if neither of you knew it yet.

Supergirl:
Kara: Hey, partner.

You stared at the blonde haired girl that was standing in front of you in the hallway of your apartment complex. It was morning and you had decided to finally rest a but now that the blue boyscout was back home.

However....

Y/N: What?

Kara: You gonna let me in?

Y/N: No.

You closed the door. However, by the time you turned around, you found her sitting on your couch accompanied with a gust of wind that blew some stray papers to the ground.

Kara: I see you did some cleaning. Making the most of your day off?

You just accepted your defeat and sat next to her. You thought she needed your help with some vigilante stuff, but you were surpised when she suggested the two of you spend the day together.

You had no plans and you could use the sunlight, so you agreed.

She convinced you to take her to the zoo first. It wasn't too packed and the animals were all out and about. It was actually quite fun. And seeing Kara get so excited to see everything, you couldn't help but smile as well.

The next stop was the park. She just wanted to walk around and get to know you better. Not the Shadow of Metropolis, but Y/N L/N.

You told her about your past as Marine in the military. How you retired after seeing the horrors of war spill into your home city. She thanked you for your service but you just shrugged it off.

In the end, you both ended up back at your apartment where you cooked dinner for the two of you. You both enjoyed it.

You hated to admit it, but Kara had broken through the shell you had put up. Guess having super strength helped.

Kara: Thanks for the date, partner.

You just rolled your eyes.

Y/N: Yeah. You too....partner.

Spoiler:
She hasn't shown up in a few days.

You were starting to get worried so you did something you swore you would only do in the case of emergencies.

You went to Wayne Manor.

To your surpise, Stephanie had told a few of the people living there about you. Namely a girl named Cassandra and the butler Alfred. Luckily, Alfred was the one to answer the door.

He lead you to Stephanie's room and you learned that she had gotten hurt during a fight against Bane. She was surpised to see you visiting her, but she didn't turn you away.

You sat beside her bed and asked her what happened. She explained that she wasn't thinking straight and had gotten too careless.

Y/N: Why?

Stephanie: Because....I broke up with Tim.

You had heard about Tim before. Her boy....her ex. He was also a crime fighter though you were unsure which one.

Y/N: I'm sorry to hear that.

Stephanie: I broke up with him because I like you.

You were surpised to hear her confess this, but you also realized that she was probably riding high on pain killers. You didn't completely doubt that she felt this way, but you decided not to accept it until she was feeling better. It was only fair.

But you did stay by her side for the day. You read to her from some books, watched TV with her, and ate some sandwiches Alfred made for the both of you.

And unaware to either of you, Alfred and Cassandra made sure no one even got near Stephanie's room.

Granted, that night, Bane was found stung up in a warehouse, beaten senseless.

Wonder Girl:
She was just lounging around the base.

You were watching her from the kitchen area while Conner made himself a sandwich. Deciding you were brave enough, you apporched the blonde haired girl and asked a simple question.

Y/N: Wanna go on a date?

The entire room went silent and Conner even dropped the knife he was using. You just shrugged and waited for her answer.

You both decided on dinner. She picked some Italian restaurant and you both went home to get ready.

You even took the ring off so that your full attention was on her.

She looked absolutely stunning and she found you to be incredibly dashing. Though, teenage awkwardness would need to be worked on. For the both of you.

It was absolutely nerve wrecking for the first five minutes or so. But once you both realized that you could be comfortable around each other after being friends for so long, you both just fell right into the flow of things.

Dinner arrived and you both enjoyed it....until a monster from the abyss rose up and started to attack.

You and Cassie both agreed that you bringing the ring was a good idea.

Ditching the restaurant, leaving money for the food of course, you both fought the monster together and sent it back to where it came from.

You both sat on the edge of the cliff overlooking the water as the sun began to rise. Cassie laid her head on your shoulder with a smile.

Cassie: That has got to be the most exciting date I've ever been on.

Y/N: I completely agree.

Orphan:
Her, Steph, Tim, and Duke often had a "self care" day.

Every week, usually on a Saturday or Sunday, the four of them would take a well earn break from crime fighting and go out and do something to relax.

You never joined them. You had gotten closer to Bruce and you wanted to prove yourself, even though everyone already saw you as a valuable ally and a trustworthy friend.

You were nursing your latest cut when Cassandra approched you in the kitchen.

Cassandra: You need rest.

Y/N: You need to go back to not talking as much. It seems all you do now is lecture me.

Cassandra: Then stop doing things that make me lecture you.

She ended up following you around all day. And then all night while you did your patrols. Finally, you gave up.

Y/N: Fine! Self care day! But you're coming with me!

Cassandra didn't even hesitate to agree. So she showed you around Gotham's daylight. First stop was the booba shop. You decided you hated it. The second stop was something called the arcade. It was filled with video games to play.

That was fun. Mostly thanks to both Cassandra and yours competitive streak. She would win some, you would win some, some were called a tie, others didn't end until you were both kicked out for being too crazy.

She showed you ice cream. You didn't really know what flavor to pick, so she picked one out for you. Rocky Road. You didn't really know how to feel about it, but she did state that you could always come back and try a different flavor.

At the end of the day, the two of you returned to the Manor and watched some old movie Dick had left behind.

When Alfred found the two of you, you were both asleep and leaning on each other. He placed a blanket over you both and decided to leave you be.
