You and Snart were in charge of rescuing Mick, Ray and Stein but you had different ideas about it.

By no means were you willing to follow Rip's orders of killing Stein, but if that was for the greater good, you'd put your personal morals to a side and do what was needed. However you didn't want it to come to that. You wanted to save Stein first to stop the world from being destroyed, then you'd move onto Ray and Mick.

If you had it your way no one was going to die, and you'd fight until your dying breath to see everyone leave here alive.

Snart however only cared about getting Mick out of here. Stein and Ray were allowed to die as collateral damage if saving them got in the way of getting his partner out.

As he went to walk towards were you had seen Mick and Ray go. You grabbed onto his wrist.

"Don't even think about giving up on Doctor Stein," You frowned.

"He isn't my priority. Mick is."

"You said that criminals have a code. That you never leave one of your own behind. We are a team Snart. You can't give up on them just for Rory," You said pleading with him.

He shook his head prying your hand from around his wrist.

"Mick and I are a team. Rip doesn't care if any of us live or die, we mean nothing as a 'team'."

"This isn't about Rip. This is about you. I'm not a criminal Snart. We are the most unalike people, it seems preposterous for us to work together, but that isn't it, you are my friend. I'd lay down my life for you. I'd lay down my life for any of you. Good people do that, good people put others before themselves, they do good. They save people, they do anything in their power to help people. Mick Rory is a complete arsehole and I don't think he has ever said one nice thing to me, but he is your best friend and in this case he is innocent, so I will try to save him. Martin Stein is pretentious and annoying but he cares about us, he has only ever done good work, he wants to help the world and I'm going to try to save him. And Raymond Palmer, he is one of the nicest men I have ever met even though he is naïve and frankly idiotic, but I will try to save him," You huffed at the end of your ramble.

"I don't know if you've noticed, I am not a good person. I am a criminal, a thief, a crook."

You furrowed your eyebrows, crossing your arms over your chest.

"News Flash Snart. You are a good guy. You aren't a criminal anymore. Criminals don't try to save the world. Criminals don't try to stop a man who has only ever wronged them from going to prison to stop their sister from being hurt. A criminal doesn't care about someone 'that isn't on their team'. And you do. You care about me. You care about the others but they all know you for some reason care about me more. You risked your life to save me. Maybe because I remind you of your sister, I don't know and honestly I don't care too much at the moment. But I do care about you. Now we are going to stop Stein from doing something stupid and then we can save your partner and Ray. And you try to go against that plan and believe me your little gun will not be the coldest thing in the room."

He didn't argue. You could see he wanted to but he saw it as the best not to. With that you took your gun from your holster and began to walk towards where you presumed Stein would be.

"Y/N?"

"What?" You whispered.

"I didn't save you because I see you as a sister, I see you as something very different," He said almost stumbling over his words.

"I know," You smirked.

"You knew!?"

You let out a soft laugh at his abruptness of finding out your knowledge of his fondness of you. Well this task would be 'enjoyable' working with him, and afterwards you knew he would not let this conversation drop.
