Floyd Lawton- Cell: Part 2 (a)
"Floyd." You opened the panel to his cell, expecting him to be seated as he normally was, slumped in the hard corner of the tiny room.
"Tell me you managed to get something? That douche Darnell didn't try and get in the way, did he?"
"Calm down and shut up. Stop being so loud or this isn't going to be happening for very long. You know how much Keith is making me pay to keep this shit private?" Floyd grabbed the food from your hand and wolfed it down in record speed, again the wrappers slid under the door.
"I can help you out with that fund situation, don't worry. I got some caches around Gotham in case, well I don't know what in case I just thought some hidden money couldn't hurt. Now come on, don't keep me waiting what did you get?" He stood with a wide smile in the middle of his cell, you hadn't seen him or any other prisoner happy in a long, long time. Of course, it was still prison but that didn't mean they deserved to live a completely sad and miserable life, not for their whole sentence anyway. Besides, you weren't sure why, but you had a sweet spot for Floyd since he arrived.
"First of all, your daughters fine and so is her mother."
"And Darnell?"
"Well that's the best part, turns out he's got a pretty bad case of haemorrhoids." Floyd laughed and raised his hands together in a praying motion.
"See that's what I'm talking about. You're a good person, you get good stuff come to you. You're a bad person... well you either get piles or end up in a maximum-security prison. Fuck that though, how is my daughter?"
"Apart from really missing her Daddy, she's okay." Always paranoid you would caught, you peered from side to side as you pulled a tightly folded piece of paper from your pocket and handed it over to Floyd. "You know I can't let you keep it, but it would be cruel not to let you see, besides I promised I'd give it to you." Floyd's face lit up as he unfurled the crayon drawing of him and his daughter.
"Can I keep it just for tonight?" He asked, almost begged as his eyes refused to lift from the page.
"I can't guarantee I'll be assigned here tomorrow, and I don't know if it's worth the risk. Do you know how much shit we'll both get into." He folded back up the page with a cheeky smile and wedged it into a large gap in his concrete floor. "Fine. You can keep it. Look, keep your mouth shut, but I'm trying to figure out a way of sorting some sort of facetime out with her."
"Fuck off." He walked around the cell quickly with his hands pressed against the back of his head. "That would be crazy. You know if you had that sorted out I would have you covered for life, right?"
"I know, I know. Harder than it sounds though, I can't get shit through security. I'm trying to sort it out for the next time I'm here though."
"Ay, y/n." He pressed his hand against the panel stopping you from closing it. "Thank you for doing this. I was really on the verge of just losing my shit and planning real stupid."
