Starfire reached out to touch his face... scared that once her fingertips brushed his skin, he would vanish. But he didn't. He leaned into her touch, his eyes closed and just breathing in her scent. It's been so long...

"You- you are alive." Starfire stuttered, her green eyes pooling with tears. "Dick- I've missed you."

Another breath and her fingers stuck to the cusp of his cheek.

"I've missed you, too, Star-" Dick raised his watery blue eyes to finally meet hers, voice cracking with emotion. It's been months since he last saw her, many months too long. Sure, Dick wished that he could've had another choice, but he didn't. But now...

"Why?" Starfire asked as a tear fell on her cheek, "Why did you pretend you were dead?"

"I had to protect you, I couldn't have them find you, Star..."

"Who?" Starfire demanded, fury burning within her... whoever dared to hurt Dick... he turned away from her.

"Many people have a bounty on my head, I had to keep the people I cared about safe and serve the greater good like I was meant to do." Dick explained, looking off into the distance.

"Why did you not tell me?" She questioned. Another sigh, a slump of the shoulders. He turned around to face her.

"I couldn't Star... you know I tell you everything but in this case, the less you knew the better. This way, you wouldn't get caught in the crossfire. It wasn't a decision I made lightly, I assure you. Star, I'm... I... I hope you can forgive me" He said and Starfire nodded.

"I understand." The alien quivered, still slightly hurt that he still did not come to her. "I was full of despair when I lost you."

"I know, I'm sorry. I never meant to hurt you." Dick answered and Starfire smiled.

"But you're here now, and that's all that matters." She stated, her fingers finding his. They intertwined.

"And I'm staying... for good this time." He promised and dipped his head. "Do you... do you think we could start where we left off?"

"I would like that," Starfire said and Dick smirked, "Where would you like to start?"

"How about forever?"

"That sounds amazing."

His lips quickly found hers, kissing her, making up for lost time. Somehow... they both knew... this signified forever. And no one, not even their enemies, could break them apart.

Breaking away, Starfire grinned.

"I love you." She breathed and Dick kissed her once again.

"I love you, too."

EEEEEEHEHEHEHEE! I love StarfirexNightwing/Dick Grayson/Robin, he has so many identities XD. But yeah they are my OTP so I love reading/writing about them.  This oneshot was based on the new Starfire comics and it was from a scene in #7, the picture from the comic is in the media.  I am actually collecting the Starfire comics rn and they are really good. I love the way they made Starfire look (giving her some actual freaking clothes) and her personality. There are some things I don't like but I'm not gonna spoil it for anyone who wants to read.  I have Vol. 1 and some individuals but I think I'm going to wait for Vol. 2 to come out before I spend anymore money.  Annnnnnyyywayyyyyyssss, my requests for oneshots are OPEN! I would especially like NightwingxStarfire ideas but other ships or situations are welcome as well!  Thanks and hoped y'all enjoyed this oneshot!
