"You are safe, (y/n). I'm not going to let anyone hurt you."
~
You wake up in a hospital room, instantly scared. You didn't remember anything that had happened before you walked into the coffee shop. What day was it? What time was it? Where were you? "(Y/n), you are awake." You look to see it was Connor talking. The quick movement gave you a headache. "How are you feeling?" He asked. You rubbed your temples.
"Like shit. What happened?" You asked.
"I don't think you even wanna know." Hank tried holding in a laugh while he said it. Your face began to burn.
"What did I do...?" You asked, embarrassed. Connor stood and straightened his tie.
"Well, the barista infused your coffee with high doses of an unknown drug containing high traces of dopamine. Do you know what that is?" You slowly shake your head no. "It is the chemical in a brain that makes you feel happy. It causes someone to say what they truly think." He explains. You gulp. What the hell did I do?
"Okay... what did I do?"
"Well, while Hank was chasing the man, I sat you down. You were very drugged and happy and dizzy. You kissed me and attempted to undress me in the coffee shop." You put your face in your hands and tried to hide your embarrassment. "Do not worry. You were not in control of your actions and thoughts. The actions are excusable." He says, putting his hands behind him again as he looked at you. You looked up at Hank. He shrugged and nodded.
"I'm so sorry Connor. I didn't mean to act that way and say those things." You apologize.
"No need to apologize, (y/n)." He says with a smile.
"So, can I ask a few questions? If you're up for it." Hank asks. You nod. Connor sits at the end of the bed and looks at you. His LED flashes yellow as he scans you from time to time while Hank asks questions. You notice, but chose to ignore. It's probably in his programming to be gathering information about you. When Hank is done, Connor stands up.
"Do you need anything to drink?"
"Water, please. If the doc says it's okay." You say, looking at the doctor across the room on the computer. He throws a thumbs up in the air, and Connor nods and leaves the room. You give a heavy sigh. Hank chuckles and adjusts his sitting position.
"How do you feel about Connor?" He asks bluntly. You freeze.
"... What do you mean?"
"About him being an android. And this whole revolution thing. How do you feel about it?"
You think for a moment and look at your fidgeting hands. "Well, I do believe androids are beings, just created by man. Kamski created another form of intelligent life. I personally believe they are trapped inside programming, but clearly, it is possible to break free from that and have free will. Androids can have feelings of fear and anger and happiness. I support the free will of androids." You say, breaking your stare from your hands. Connor was standing in the doorway with a cup in his hand, staring at you and blinking, his LED flashing intense yellow.
"I was unaware you felt this way towards androids." He says and walks to the bed. He hands you the water cup.
"Connor, you are a form of intelligent life. Please, stand up for yourself when you need to. And do what you want." You say, and lightly grab his arm. He watches you do this. Yellow LED. He says nothing.
