POV Anna

I have gone through every corner of the secret hideout. My friends in Atlantica are alright, we have taken radio contact every day for one week that we have been stuck on the secret base of the guardians. They are some sort of soldier unit which is trying to eliminate these zombies. However I feel like locked up in here.

This place is getting boring and I am walking around. It is noon and then they start their training routines and I go to their training room. Jack is already there, having his usual playful argument with Bunnymund. “You’re getting pale, mate,” Bunnymund grins and throws the boomerang at panting Jack who jumps over it easily. He runs towards Bunny and waves the staff as he moves, Jack slams the staff on ground and gives a smirk to Bunny. “I just am pale,” Jack chuckles.

Bunny crosses his arms and points behind of Jack, “You might wanna duck mate.” Jack glances over his shoulder and jumps down. He barely dodged the boomerang which flew back to satisfied looking Bunny. Jack jumped up and was laughing while he wiped some dust off from his hoodie.

CLAP. CLOP. CLAP. CLOP.

We all turned around when we heard some fast running steps coming from the corridor. Suddenly Jasmine was leaning on the doorway and panting, her hair was sticking to every direction and her normally neat looking tied up hair was all messy. She has been working hard to get the antidote finished.

“Hey! I think that I got it now!” Jas yelles in excitement and we all rushed to her. “Elsa is there making more but I think we have it now! The right combination to antidote!” Jack smirked happily and I smiled. ”C’mon Anna!” Jack looked at me and took my hand, we were running towards laboratory while Jas was left to explain the process to Guardians.

“Elsa did it! I knew that she would be a great help,” Jack smiled to me. ”Yeah, Elsa is really smart,” I laughed and Jack nodded. Elsa actually had studied some chemistry before I almost forced her to continue her ice skating career. Jack gets excited from almost everything that Elsa does.

I had to catch my breath after we arrived to the lab. “Give me a sec,” I said and took support from my knees. “Sure,” Jack chuckled and went to Elsa who was smiling to us. Jack pulled Elsa into a kiss. His stamina is much higher than mine, little run seems to be nothing to him. Me on the other hand, well I am suffocating!

I inhaled deeply and stand with straight back. “So, the antidote?” I giggled and both Elsa and Jack glance at me, ending their kiss. Jack petted Elsa’s cheek while backing up. “Yup, you did a huge discovery?” Jack smirked and made Elsa blush. ”Uh.. it was more of Jas work but I helped,” Elsa pointed at a table where were three small sample bottles.

Jas came inside, “I see that you’re already here. Jack, wipe away the lipstick from you would you? Bunny might have a laugh.” Jack grinned and winked his eye while wiping his lips to his hoodie’s sleeve. I look around me,” Where is Al?”

Blush sneaked on Jas’s cheeks. She has been dating Al for years but she still gets blushed which I think as sweet. Oh, I miss Kristoff right now. “Al is getting rid of a body,” Jas whispers and I look at her. “W-what happened?” I gasped.

Elsa touches my shoulder, “We tried out the antidote which is also a vaccine. Al brought as one zombie but it was too late for it.” I glance at Jas and I am feeling confused. Jas sighed, “That zombie was too far gone. It changed back but the body was already dead. It might only work after being bitten so.. we need to try it out.”

Silence lurked into the room and the rest of the Guardians arrived to the room. “So you heard the news?” Bunnymund finally said. ”One of us needs to be bitten and then trying out the antidote,” North said and sighed.

“Who?” Tooth whispered. ”It isn’t certain if it will work or not. Jas cannot be tested since she is our research specialist, Jack and Elsa are already infected. So it leaves the rest of us,” North said and seemed sad.

“Will Manny decide?” Jack gulped. North shook his head, ”He said that individual makes the decision. He can’t do that for us.” Everyone went quiet and deep in their thoughts. ”So.. decide by tomorrow?” Jas whispered.

Jas sighed and rubbed her chin while closing her eyes. “You don’t have to be bitten, I have infected blood in a syringe that I will inject to your blood. After that we will use the antidote and we will see if it works. But now lets go and think this through really well?” Jas said and smiled faintly.

Everyone nodded and left the room, Jack was holding Elsa’s hand. They are the reason why we have the possible antidote. Now it just needs to be tested. The way to my room felt long and my heart was beating really fast. The antidote has to work, Jas and Elsa worked so hard on it and Elsa survived from the virus.

Before I had turned the door knob I reached a decision. I will do it, I will be the one tested. However I know that Elsa wouldn’t let me so I need to do it without anyone knowing. Right now.

I inhale deeply and turn around. The walk back to lab felt like taking ages but I couldn’t run or people might suspect something. I even greeted Jim Hawkins who had been working late with fixing equipment and was now headed to his bed.

“No! It is locked,” I am trying to push the laboratory door open but there is lock stopping me. I pouted and stared at it. “Hmm.. what if,” I whispered and had an idea. I took my hair pin from my hair and I started to lockpick. “YES! It opened!” I squealed and entered.

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BE-BEEP!

Great, I managed to step into laser detector and now I set off the alarm. Just wonderful. I push the door closed again and put a chair under the handle to block the door. Quickly I took a syringe from the table and go to fridge. “Z-virus,” I read the lable aloud and took it. I press the tip of the syringe inside and pull the virus inside the needle.

BANG. BANG.

I hear banging from the bullet proof glass. “Anna! What are you doing!” I hear Elsa’s muffled yells and I glance to the glass. There is Elsa, looking at me with Jas. I inhale deeply and walk to that window. I look to my right and I see how Jack and Bunnymund are running their shoulders first against the door that I blocked.

“Open up!” Jack comes to the door while gritting his teeth. ”Don’t do it Anna!” Elsa cried and I shook my head. “I am sorry Elsa but you two have done your share, now it is my turn,” I yelled to her and stuck the needle to my arm. I inject the virus in me.

“E-Elsa,” I whispered when my world started spinning. “ANNA!” Elsa screamed and I saw how Jack’s eyes widened. I hear Jas’s muffled screaming, ”We need to give her the antidote! Right now!”

I am laying on the ground, my body feels so tired that I cannot move.

BANG. BANG.

“PUSH!” Jack yells behind the door and the banging sound gets louder.

BANG!

I see how Jas, Anna, Bunny and Jack all fell down when they managed to get the chairs legs break and the door give in. Elsa crawls to me, “Anna.. What have you done?” She cries and takes my head to her lap. Jas runs to fridge and gets the antidote. She runs to me and kneels next to me.

“What bottle you took?” Jas whispers and takes some of the antidote to needle. “Z-virus,” I whispered and I was getting really tired now. Elsa and Jas look at each other with worried faces. “W-what is it?” I asked. Jas sighs, ”It is the core of the virus. Much more powerful than our other samples.. let’s hope that antidote works.”

I nodded and closed my eyes. My body was starting to shake and then Jas hit me with the needle, squeezing the antidote into my bloodstream. “Now we can just wait,” Jas said.

Suddenly I felt my energy returning. ”Anna!” Elsa cried happily and hugged me when I opened my eyes. “I .. I feel better?” I whispered and I felt how Jack hugged me too. “Give her some room,” Jas laughed happily.

After a while Jas came to me, “I need to take some tests.” She said while smiling and took blood samples. “So the antidote is working?” I asked while I sat on a chair. ”It seems so.. You seem to be alright except that white hair strand,” Jas pointed at my head. “White hair strand?” I whispered and Jas gave me a mirror. Indeed there was some white hair in my head now.

Later we find out that the antidote needed some correcting but it was working. I was fine, I can’t spread the virus. Elsa and Jack took the antidote too, they are not the virus carriers anymore. We finally have a way to fight against the virus.

POV Hiccup

Merida and I are on our usual food gathering tour in the city. “Go on buddy, sniff us some food!” I laughed to Toothless who run in front of us in the empty streets. Suddenly Merida pulled me from my arm and made me kneel down. “Hush,” she whispered and pointed forward.

“Do you see it?” She whispered and I narrowed my eyes. “That’s Pitch with some auburn haired guy?” I whispered and Merida nodded. “What are they doing in the harbor?” I gasped and Merida shrugged her shoulders. ”I don’t know but I don’t want to find out. Bette find the food and hurry back,” she said and I nodded.

I made some owl sounds and soon Toothless run to me. My dog is one of the smartest trained dogs, our dogs were the best in my dad’s mafia. We headed back to middle town and I told Toothless to search for food again.

“Hey! A movie theatre!” Merida said and went inside. I followed her and I took my sword on my hand. Merida was aiming something with her crossbow when we reached the dark snack bar inside. “Give me some light,” she whispered and I immediately pressed my swords button and it lit on flame.

“Crap,” I gulped when I saw twenty zombies walking around the movie theatre. Merida shot some bolts to their heads and I protected her with my sword when they closed in.

“THERE IS TOO MANY!” I yelled when one of them grabbed my shoulder. I pushed it away and took my knife from my waist. I kneeled down next to it and stabbed it to it’s head. It’s body twitched for a while until it let out a final groan.

“I KNOW!” Merida yelled and hit one zombie to head with her crossbows end. She pulled me up and we run. “Here!” She shouted and opened up a door. ”How nice,” I said sarcastically right when she came to that tight storage closet after me. “Hush!” She said and furrowed her eyebrows.

We heard the zombies walking behind the door. Merida pressed her cheek against the door and listened. I took a lighter from my pocket and lit it up. My cheeks begin to blush when I watched her there, so focused and the shadows moving on her face and hair. Her hair was red as the flames and I just kept on staring at her.

“Is something wrong?” She glanced at me and my heart was beating faster. “Uh..” I managed to say and she lifted her eyebrow. “Hiccup?” She whispered and I place the lighter on a storage shelf. “Merida,” I said and placed my hands around her, she tried to push me away. “W-what now?” Her face turned bright red.

“We met for the first time in tight situation like this,” I whispered and she tried to look away. “Yes we did. What about that?” She looked down, avoiding eye contact with me. ”I love you,” I whispered and lifted her chin up. “Hiccup.. I..,” she mumbled and I pressed my front finger on her lips and she shut up.

I smiled to her and finally she smiled back. I lifted my finger from her lips as her hands got to my cheeks. I leaned forward, closed my eyes and kissed her gently to lips. Her other hand went to my hair and her other arm was around my back. She was kissing me back and her lips were soft.

After the kiss she placed her head against my chest. “I love you too,” she whispered and I felt so happy. “Thank you for telling me finally,” I chuckled and she gave a gentle hit to my chest with her fist. “Don’t get too cocky now Hiccup,” she laughed.

“So.. what’s the plan?” Merida asked and gave me a quick kiss. Great way to get brains working. “Well!” I look up, “there is no way that we can escape like in the first time. Even your tiny sweet figure won’t fit through that vent.” I said and she rolled her eyes. “So we go through door?” Merida said and I nodded.

”How is your bolt situation?” I asked and she sighed. “I have none and there is at least ten of them in small space.” I rubbed my chin, “Hmm.. So you take my sword.. the gas has run out but you can use the actual blade to cut. “ Merida seemed confused, “Uh.. what are you going to use.”

I smirked, “Just get me to the counter and you will see!” She nodded and we opened the door. The squeaking sound caught the zombies attention. “Make it twenty!” Merida gasped when we counted the amount of the zombies approaching us.

Merida used my sword and stabbed one lady zombie to her chest and I run to stab the lady zombie to head. It was nasty since I could see her brain which was exposed because of some head trauma. Her skull was fractured and the rotting brain smelled so bad.

Slowly we reached the counter and I slammed my metallic fake leg to table. “Oh,” Merid whispered and sounded excited. I pressed some buttons and the end of the leg opened. “You ready?” I yelled to Merida who just easily swifted the sword in the air and cut one zombies head off. “Yeah!” She yelled.

”Get them in front of me,” I shouted and she lured them there. “Now! Get behind the counter!” I yelled to Merida who run behind of me, her hand was placed on my shoulder. “GRILL PARTY!” I yelled and pressed another button.

The flames bursted out from my fake leg and the zombies got burned. “I love flamethrowers!” I chuckled and Merida squeezed my shoulder. Soon the zombies were mindleslly pacing around the room, slowly burning and focusing on it. “Time to go,” I said to Merida when I put my leg back

When we got outside Toothless run to us. “Hey buddy, did you find anything?” I patted my dog who barked. We followed him to abandoned small convenient store. “There is food?” I grinned to Toothless who woofed and shook his tail vigoreously. I started to laugh when he licked my face.

Merida went inside before us. Now she had some bolts that she had pulled back from zombie heads at the movie theatre just before leaving. We gathered some food, or more likely junk food. There were some chip bags and candy packages scattered all around. We found also some canned food to take with us.

The sun was already setting when we headed back to others. They were staying at the highest level of the apartment building. Tomorrow would be someone elses turn to search for supplies.

We knocked the door to an apartment three times and then we heard Punzie’s voice. “Password,” I chuckled. “Friends stick together like fudge,” I said and the door opened. Punzie hugged us both and Flynn took the bags that we were carrying. “I am so happy that you two are alright!” Punzie said happily while we went inside.

“Yeah we are,” I said and glanced at Merida who blushed. “What is going on between you two?” Punzie gave us a sly smirk and poked my chest. “Don’t you hurt my boyfriend,” Merida said teasingly and my eyes widened, Punzie’s jaw drop down. “B-boyfriend?” I gulped and Merida nodded while she left to clean her bolts.

“Congrats!” Flynn laughed and slapped my back. I have… a girlfriend now? Whoa, she actually said that! Toothless woke me up by licking my hand. Suddenly we heard Kristoff stumbling from one of the bedrooms. “Guess what Johnny and I heard from the radio!” Kristoff laughed.

“Well?” Mavis said and put down the gun that she was just assembling. “They found antidote! And they are coming here tomorrow!” Kristoff said fast. ”Slow down buddy.. What did you say?” I whisper.

Kristoff nodded, ”You heard me. We have the cure! They will come here tomorrow, Anna, Elsa and Jack and some other people.” We all were really happy and keeping the noise down was hard. We decided to celebrate and took bigger food rations this time. Rapunzel sang to us. Finally good news!
