Killing the Dawn

Warning: Violence, hinting of death

FT. OC survivor and killer

Some killers are angry.

The Slasher had the blade close to the woman's neck. She winced in pain, but the killer didn't let up.

"Melody Dawn, that's your name?" The expressions on his face were unreadable, for the mask blocked it from view.

"Yeah, that's my name." She gasped in pain as the knife was pressed harder against her neck.

"Pathetic." The Slasher shook his head. He is the Judge of Karma, and he will determine your fate.

She sucked in a deep breath as the cold metal was brought away from her skin.

"I'm sorry." She muttered softly.

The Banshee stood nearby, sharpening her claws and eyeing the scenario. "What the hell Wren? Do it already."

"I know." The former father sighed and glanced at the woman bound to the chair.

The Principal walked in wordlessly, watching it go down. He wasn't one to point fingers, but in his grief for his daughter, he decided to let the woman fall.

"I don't really mind, if it makes you feel better." The new survivor smiled a tiny bit.

"Did you want to do this?" The Principal raised an eyebrow.

"Well no, but seeing how I don't truly have a purpose, I guess I'm just fine with this." She would shrug.

The Banshee rolled her head to mimic one rolling their eyes, and walked up to the bound survivor. "You talk too much."

The Slasher nodded and Melody took a gasping breath as she felt pain bloom in her stomach, her shirt growing wet.

"Can I try something too?" it sounded rough and gurgly, and Melody had to focus hard to hear what the newcomer said.

The Polluted threw his spear into her arm, but that was just the start of it. Thick, black oil exploded from the spear and into her body, and within minutes she was coughing out the stuff, and it slowly suffocated her.

Some killers don't want to.

The Virtuoso stared into Melody's soul. Her mask wouldn't show what she actually looked like, just like the Slasher.

"Maybe we should leave her alone for now? It's not even an official round." Ms. Crimson suggested, and Mr. Cobalt shrugged. Mx. Amber simply folded their arms, curious what would happen.

"Perhaps, but we don't know what she's doing here." the Virtuoso looked back at the three Imaginary Friends.

"Maybe... she just... wants to explore..." the Host gave an explanation.

"Maybe, but I would rather not mess around. If the Mist sees we let her go, what will happen? We'll get tortured." the artist shook her head and pressed the sharp end of her staff against the survivor's chest.

The werewolf watched anxiously, unsure what they were up to. He wanted answers, though he was sure he wouldn't get any good ones. "Can't we just let her escape and pretend she outran us?"

The Overgrown shook her head. "I agree with Nadiya. Even if we could try that the Mist will know the truth. It can see beyond lies and deception. Even perceptions and illusions do not work on it."

"Too bad... She seems... nice..." the Host shook her head.

The Ghost popped out of the ground through a Blood Puddle. "I always know where the party is but... this is a pity party."

"Mhm..." Ms. Crimson sighed and crossed her arms. "What a shame"

Deciding they would let her suffer less, they allowed the Ghost to behead her, and let the werewolf devour what was left behind.

Some killers are downright insane.

The Warden took a glance towards the killer standing next to him. The Idol smiled eerily and raised his hammer. The Stalker crouched in front of Melody, giggling. "What should we do with her guys?"

"I could put her in a cell and let her rot." the former prison owner suggested.

"Do you know where Dae-Jung is~? I might just let you go if you tell me~" Melody knew the Idol wouldn't let her live even if she did tell him.

"Can I get my special knife for this?" the Stalker seemed excited about what was to come.

The other two nodded and the Warden stepped forward, closing the distance between them.

"You came here without a plan, and you didn't expect to see us? I never imagined anyone could be this stupid." he tapped his baton against her forehead with a smirk. His milky eyes locking with her scared ones despite there being no pupils.

"Don't take all the fun Lawrence! I want to do something too!" the Stalker giggled, cleaning her special knife used for special kills.

"Let me ask where Dae-Jung is first, too!" the Idol swung his hammer idly.

"Sure sure, but first let me have the first shot." a volt of electricity shot through her head, and she screamed as her body shut down from electrocution.

And some killers are unpredictable.

She didn't want to believe it at first, but the fact these two stood in front of her said a lot.

A zombie Janitor, and a man with a Smiley mask.

Both were deceased, but somehow stood here before her.

"Cold night today." the Janitor tapped his shovel on the floor.

She looked down in fear. Just what was this guy?

"You know I expected it to be the Lakeview kids or the kids from that other school. Then again you were always the odd one out." the zombie grinned and neared her face. "Always the weirdo."

She nodded, not sure how to interact with him. He wasn't open about himself, and she barely knew him. There were no common words to be said.

Then again it was the same for all the other killers.

"You're speechless? Not too surprised. You didn't look like you had a plan when you came here carrying a basket." he stood up straight and leaned on his shovel.

"Or maybe my plan was just too straightforward." she closed her eyes in defeat.

"Giving snacks to killers, quite an interesting concept. Too bad we're all killers  ey?" he laughed, showing his mouth of rotten teeth.

She nodded, mostly to herself, aware of how dumb the idea was but she kept trying anyways.

"Well sorry to tell you missy, but your stay has been cut short." he raised his shovel to slam it against her head.

Only, it didn't happen. Not this time.

When she looked up, she was shocked to see the man with a Smiley mask keeping the shovel from hitting her.

"Who are you? W-what's going on?" Why was this killer helping her?

The man looked at her, despite it not showing because of the mask, and smiled behind that funny little face cover.

"Smile a while, won't you sunshine?"
