[THIRD PERSON POV]

"-and her eyes, they-they just went entirely black." Wanda's stammered words were the first thing Davina heard as consciousness started to come back to her.

"I'm gonna have to see video evidence of that babes." Davina whispered, her eyes shut and her breathing steady.

"Davina? Are you awake?" Wanda's voice grew louder as he footsteps came closer.

"No this is my inner demon self speaking to you Wanda, how do you do?" Davina opened her eyes and flashed a wicked grin towards the some-what distraught girl stood at the edge of her bed.

"Care to tell me what the hell happened?" Davina asked, pushing herself to a sitting position. She felt no pain, so the girl came to the conclusion that she was fine. The only part of her body which hurt was the silent throbbing inside her skull.

"You don't remember Vinnie?" Wanda gasped, concern written across her features. The Maximoff girl's hands shook rapidly at her sides.

"Oh no I remember every second of it, I just wanted to hear your thoughts on the incident." Davina grinned slyly, cocking her head to the side. Wanda's hands stopped shaking instantly at her reassuring words.

She stood up from the bed despite Wanda's silent protests. Davina's eyes slowly scanned the room, taking in her surrounding, and they landed on a tall figure leaning against the far wall with his arms crossed tightly against his chest.

Wanda stole a quick look between the two and cleared her throat softly, looking down at the floor. "I'm going to get you some soup Vinnie, Vision said he would do it but- Well, I don't think any further explanation is necessary." She smiled weakly at the girl, patting her shoulder and leaving the room.

Davina smiled at Wanda and waited a few seconds till the sound of her footsteps vanished before allowing her gaze to wander back towards the tense man before her.

She noticed his figure was no longer leant against the wall, but only a mere two steps away. She hadn't noticed him move towards her.

Davina read his expression, guilt piling into her mind. "I'm okay Bucky." She spoke quietly, just above a whisper.

He took another step forward and reached out his flesh hand to cup her cheek silently. He didn't need to say anything to her, his ice blue eyes spoke words his mouth couldn't.

Davina leant into his touch and closed her eyes briefly, allowing her body to relax into the comfort of his presence.

"What the hell happened in there?" He asked. The girl took instant notice of his shaken voice as he spoke and opened her eyes.

She sighed heavily. "It's.. Complicated."

His thumb caressed her cheek slowly, rubbing small circles around her defined cheekbone. "Okay... You can tell me whenever your ready then doll."

Davina couldn't help but smile warmly at his words as he pulled her gently into his arms. His arms wrapped themselves around her waist tightly and her arms found their way around his neck.

Bucky's head buried itself in her hair and hers into the comfort of his chest. The two of them closed their eyes as they relaxed into the comfort of each others touch.

"Are you okay?" Bucky's soft whisper sounded from where his head still lay buried in his doll's hair.

Davina waited a few moments before opening her mouth to answer, unsure whether or not her answer was true. "I'm fine."

She felt Bucky sigh heavily into her hair before speaking again. "You don't seem okay Vina."

"I'm fine." She answered a little too quickly.

Bucky pulled away slightly to look her in the eye, desperate to read her emotionless expression. He rested his metal thumb against her chin, tilting her head upwards, forcing the girl to face him. "Doll... You can talk to me okay, I know you don't have too, but you can, you always can.. Because I will always be listening."

He bent down slightly so his face was closer to her level. His eyes were glazed with concern as he took in shallow breathes. Bucky wanted nothing more than to hold her in his arms forever and never let go.

"I know Buck." She whispered, placing a hand on his metal one and holding in against her cheek.

Bucky smiled softly and leant down to kiss her lips. The duo's lips moved together in absolute harmony, it seemed to Davina like the action was made of pure magic. The connection was short but sweet.

Bucky pulled away and kissed her forehead.

"Come on, lets go find Wanda and Stark. See if there's any footage of your so-called, black demon eyes." Bucky chuckled, tugging on her hand as he lead her out the door and towards the elevator.

"So there's no footage? None at all?" Davina pressed urgently.

Wanda shook her head solemnly. "Sorry Vinnie, all the surveillance monitors in the gym were wiped out with the flames. There is no footage."

"Well shit." She cursed under her breath.

Davina sat at a dining room table near the living quarters. Wanda and Tony sat across from her, though Tony's chair seemed to be pointed away slightly. Of course he was still guilty, the genius had attempted a theory and failed.

Bucky was in the nearby kitchen making tea. He had finally obliged to Davina's protests of talking to Wanda and Tony alone, though he didn't seem to happy about it. Davina hadn't told him what happened with Stark, Tony wouldn't be sitting before her if he had... He'd be six feet under ground.

"Tony?" Davina pressed lightly. She felt bad, he thought it was all his fault.

"Hmm?" He grunted, eyes darting all around the room, unable to focus on her weak glance.

She sighed and hummed lightly. "It isn't your fault, I know what you were trying to do, it didn't work.. So what? I'm glad you did what you did."

"Penton I- Wait, your glad?" He asked, his forehead showing creases of confusion at her words.

She smiled softly. "Yes, I'm glad Tony. Thanks to you, I now have some idea of what i'm actually capable of." She shuddered at the memories from a mere hour before.

He grunted yet again, still unsure of her words, but happy to take the praise non the less. Tony Stark would never refuse praise, the man-child was much too self-centred to even think of refusing praise.

Davina grinned lightly, pulling back her chair and stepping away from the table. She nodded goodbyes to both avengers sat across from where she stood before walking towards the kitchen.

The girl walked up behind Bucky and poked him in the ribs, causing the ex-soldier to jump. She laughed at him as he glared down at her. Bucky's gaze softened as her laughter died down.

"Anything?" He questioned.

"Nothing." She left out and exasperated sigh. "All the footage was blown because of all the stupid fire. Curse you stupid flames." Davina growled, ignoring the soft laughter escaping Buck's body.

"Your so cute." He chuckled.

"Shut up asshole." She grumbled, her arms crossing over her chest in an act of annoyance.

The pair were silent for a few moments before Davina spoke up once again.

"Did you make tea?" She asked, her head flicking up to Bucky's uneasy expression. "Well.. No. But I made cereal." He shot her an awkward smile.

"You mean you grabbed a bowl and put milk and cereal in it?" Davina smirked.

"Yes, that's still making cereal Vina." He smiled at her, passing a bowl of frosted flakes from the counter next to him.

She laughed and thanked him as the pair made their way over to the tall island and sat on their stools, devouring the cereal Bucky had made.

"Thanks Buck."

"Anytime Doll."
