Chapter Four
SOLACE
Ilkay grabbed the collar of my shirt and kissed me.
His lips were soft and warm. He tasted like chocolate and moonlight.
He pulled away before I could get over my shock and kiss him back.
"S-Sol, I-I'm sorry. I- I don't know why I just did that. I'm sorry. I- I..."
He turned and ran.
I stood there for about a minute in shock, then I ran in the direction he went.
"Ilkay, wait!" I called out, though I knew he wouldn't hear me. He was probably long gone.
Stulid, stupid! You should've chased after him sooner!
I wandered around, trying to find him and calling out for him.
"Ilkay...."
They sky got dark. There was no sun. No moon. No stars. Just blackness.
You see, when neither of us take over, you humans blame the poor clouds for blocking us out. But that's not right at all. We just don't show up, so no one takes over.
I couldn't find Ilkay anywhere. I couldn't see anything either.
I came upon a single street lamp, casting light down on the sidewalk.
I saw a person with dark hair sitting under it, their head in between their knees.
I knelt beside them, thinking it was Ilkay. Hoping it was Ilkay.
I put my hand on their knee. "Hey, are you crying?"
They looked up at me.
Authors note:::
Hey y'all. Sorry for not updating sooner and that this is such a short chapter.
Who was the person under the lamp post? Is it Ilkay? Will Sol ever find him? I guess we'll find out.
Also I'm on my phone so I have no idea how to put stuff in bold or italics but I'll find out soon
What should happen? Halp
