Savannah's POV

I woke up, trying to stretch but was stopped by something turning around a little I saw Cage sleeping peacefully. He looked so good in the morning there was no smile, no smirk, no nothing. It was just him, lying there in all his innocence. I turned again to look over at Ray but found a note from Granny, 'She woke up around 9:30 am so I took her I didn't want to bug the both of you. It was nice seeing you finally sleep, Sanna. Don't worry about Ray I got her. '

She was right, I don't think I've slept this well in the past two years.I try to take his arm off me but his grip tightens. I twist and turn trying to wake him up but it's no use. He's sleeping like he's dead. I groaned and punched him as hard as I could now that woke him up, he pinned me down in a panic "What was that?!"

I smile up at him, "You weren't waking up so I had to do something. Now get off. "

He wasn't having it "So you punched me? Fuck you know how much that hurt?"

"Aw want me to kiss it better?" Instantly I regretted the words that came out of my mouth.

"That would be great." He said lowering himself a little more into me getting a better grip. I turn my face away from him so he kisses my cheek instead. "But... I don't think it'll be just a kiss if we start."

"Excuse me?"

"All that struggling didn't do anything in your favor," I looked at him confused when I realized my strap had fallen off my shoulder leaving them bare to him and if I moved my chest would be visible to him too. I froze underneath him, looking away towards his collar bone I said "Let me go Cage."

"See that's the one thing I can't do. I don't want to let you go. I want you beside me all the time, I want to kiss you, touch you, feel you. "

My breath hitched "But you being stubborn that's not going to be easy. But I'm ready to do anything to put my family back together. And to feel you underneath me again."

I looked back up in his eyes, the beautiful eyes that Ray had. "Cage."

"What?"

"Please, don't give up. No matter how hard I push you away, come back to me."

"Always Ms. Beauty Always." He leaned down and kissed my cheek, forehead, both of my eyes, and nose, and just hovered above my lips "Can I?"

I leaned up and connected our lips, it wasn't rushed, it was nice slow, simple. He moaned switching our positions so I was I top of him gripping my waist. I gently bit down on his bottom lip, and he responded by biting my top lip both of us laughed in the kiss but not separate lips. We kissed for a couple more minutes before someone knocked on our door.

"You better not be making another baby in there." Ellie said slamming on the door "Hello?? Guys, it's noon"

I broke the kiss rolling off him laughing, and walking over to the door, I opened it to see Ellie covering Ray's and her eyes. "Stop being dramatic Ellie. We were not making another baby."

"Yet." Cage said smirking from the bed

"Yet?!" Ellie said, I rolled my eyes at both of them and grabbed Ray from her. "Morning baby."

"Morning momma. Morning hero."

"Morning Raya"

"Come on let's get you freshened up."

"I'll come with." Cage said jumping out of bed.

I look at him with a smile "How about you go to your bathroom and we go to my bathroom."

"That works too. But not as fun."

"Ew Cage."

"Shut up Ellie."

"I'm going to go, let's go, Ray."

I left that room with a huge smile on my face. Maybe just maybe he wasn't that bad after all.

Cage's P.O.V

I was making progress, little progress but I was making some progress. She kissed me today, and made the first move to at least. Taking a deep breath, I walk out of the bathroom with a smile on my face.

"Cage," Ellie said bursting through my door, causing me to wrap my towel tighter against my waist

"Ellie! Knock!"

"Please, we took baths together when we were little I've seen everything. Look this is very important, there's been activity underground there are rumors that King is coming back. He's going to blame everything on our company Levi Industries, Theo is still undercover 100 percent still looking for Annah and Sami."

My heart dropped, "That can't happen, everything is finally going right this can't be happening right now."

"Cage you need to calm down, think with a clear mind."

I began pacing around running my hand through my hair, "Savy and Ray can go to Canada just until all this is dealt with, I will stay here and deal with it. Ellie, you need to go with them."

"Deal with what?" Both of us froze "Deal with what guys?"

Letting out a deep breath I turn towards her, "Nothing, just dealing with some paperwork, contracts stuff like that."

Savy looked at me suspiciously "I can help you, I mean it'll give me something to do. I'm getting bored anyway."

"Annah..."Ellie said "King is coming out from the underground. It going to be really dangerous having the both of you around so-"

"So?"

"We have to send you to Canada, that's the safest place right now, King doesn't have a reach till there. Just pick a location and the private plane take you there." I said cutting in

"You are hiding things from me again."

"Hiding stuff? I just told you everything."

"Ellie did, you didn't."

I sighed, "Savy you need to understand that with me, my job comes along I can't tell you everything.'

She shook her head, "You need to tell me everything when it concerns my daughter, especially about her safety."

I groan in frustration "Just trust me Savannah."

Savy scoffed at me looking away, "I can't that's the problem."

Ellie stepped forward to say something but Savy didn't wanna hear it, she left shaking her head at us, disappointed. Just when I thought I was making some progress. Anyway, I needed to make some arrangements for her whether she liked it or not.

"Dad, I need three tickets for British Columbia, Canada," I said bursting into my Dad's office

He looked at me shocked, "British Columbia? Why there?"

"Dad, Ellie got a tip saying that King is coming out from underground and even though I know Theo is trying his best to find Savy and Ray, I can't let that happen."

"Did you ask what Savannah wanted to do? Does she want to-"

"She doesn't have a choice, Dad. I can't lose them too, I won't lose them too, not to that monster."

Dad sighed, "Cage, you need to talk to her about this, this is the time you need to be fully honest with her, let her know what's going on, and then let her do the deciding if she wants to stay here with you or leave for protection."

"Dad-"

"Cage this is about the future of your daughter and both of your relationships. You can't be the only one deciding you need to understand that. It takes two people to run a relationship, not one."

I let Dad's words sink in, he was right "Book them, Dad, I'll go talk to Savy."

Walking out of his room, I walked into Savy's room she was staring out the window, "May I come in?"

"Since when yo do ask?"

Clearing my throat I walk in sitting down beside her, "What do you want to do?"

"What?"

"What do you want to do? Do you want to stay or do you want to leave?"

She turned towards me, "Do I have a choice?"

"That's why I am asking, tell me."

"My heart tells me to stay but my brain is telling to me to leave, for Ray's sake."

"Who winning?"

"My heart." She whispered to me, "When it comes to you my heart always wins that's why I'm sitting here, with you."

Her words brought a smile to my face, "I'm not that bad."

"No, no you're not."

I sighed pulling her chair towards me, "Your heart may be winning Savy, but the right thing to do right now is to leave. I'm sending you somewhere safe where no one can touch you."

"What about you? If I leave will I ever see you again?"

I didn't have an answer, but I forced a smile for her and said: "Yeah, you will see me." I brushed back some of her hair from her face.

"Lier, you lying Cage."

"Savy... What do you want me to do?"

"Come with us, well never come back'll live a happy life in BC."

I shook my head frantically "No, I can't do that. I need to stay here I need to--"

"What gets revenge from King?"

"That man killed my mom Savannah!!"

"That man paid to kill my mom to Cage, he paid my dad to kill her and then killed him."

"I can't go with you."

"Can't or won't?"

"Both."

She scoffed looking away from me, "Right, you can go now."

"Why can't you understand that I'm doing this for your safety!"

"Who put me in this situation? Huh? I was fine, living with my daughter then you came back and fucked everything up!"

I angrily grabbed her and slammed her up against the wall making her hiss in pain "You are so goddam infuriating."

"You're, not any less, you asshole!"

I gripped her throat tighter but not enough to cut the air supply "Disrespect doesn't go well by with me Savy, you know that."

"I don't give a fuck, let me go! I wish I never met you, you are a heartless inconsiderate bastard."

"Watch it," I said angrily

"Or what huh? You'll kill me? Hurt me? Good luck explaining that to our daughter when she asks where her mother is?"

My grip loosened on her, "Just when I thought I was making some progress with you, making some room in your heart but you know what Savy, you aren't what I remember. Fuck, do whatever you want."

"You are exactly what I remember a cold-hearted bastard who pushes everything good that comes his way."

"I said watch your mouth."

"Make me. I am tired of holding back all the anger I have for you, why should I let you back into my heart? Give me one goddam reason Cage, one goddamn reason."

Letting go of her throat I grip her waist tightly pulling her towards me, "Because I fucking love you!!"

Time froze, The words seamlessly flew out of my mouth, and I heard her breath hitch, "I love you, and this time I'm not lying, not trying to use you, not trying to hurt you. Savannah Miller, I love you."
