Savannah's P.O.V

"Hey Granny," I said shyly standing in front of the door while she stood there looking at me with a smile, "Do you mind taking care of her today?"

She pulled both of us into a tight hug, "I am so glad that you came today, I missed both of you."

"So you aren't mad about what happened yesterday?" I said biting my lip

"No, no Sanna. Whatever was bound to happen one day or another what Cage did is unforgivable."

I took in a deep breath, "I know, I just burst, I just wanted to say sorry to you. I spoke very rudely and dirty in front of you and Ray but everything I said, I don't regret it one bit."

"It's okay don't stress. I will make sure he stays away from Ray and you from now on."

"Thank you, Granny," I give her a quick hug and ray a kiss and rush to work

"Good Morning Savannah." Mr. Emerson said as I stepped out of the elevator

"Good Morning, Mr. Emerson." I said back suspiciously "Why were you waiting for me?"

"I needed to go over some merger paper with you, you can join the quick meeting with Mr. Pierce Mr. Levi, and me." Great the two people I didn't want to see this morning, especially Cage.

"Yes, Sir let me just quickly go drop my stuff off in my office and I will be right there." Quickly dropping my things off at my office I make my way over to Emerson's office.

"Ah good, you are here Savannah, meet Theo he is here as a representative for King Industries instead of your father."

I gave Theo a smile and sat down beside him completely blanking Cage. After what happened yesterday I didn't want to speak to him or even look at him.

"These merger papers look really good Savannah the deal has gone through but the thing is King Industries needs a little more financial support than you have given. I just thought you could do a quick change file of our new papers for us. "

"That'll be okay, I'll have them done before the end of the day."

"That's wonderful. Also before you leave cod you mind if you could give Theo a tour of DayLight Industries."

Taking a deep breath I nod, "Follow me, Sir."

Theo and I got up and left the office, "So how's Ray?"

"She's fine. She's still a little cranky but okay."

Theo nodded "So have you thought about what I asked?"

"Theo...I can't let you come into my home, my privacy after what you did."

"Please? I promise O won't cause any harm toward you or Ray and if I do you can kick me out right away. No objections."

Debating about it I give in sighing, "Fine bring your stuff around 7:00 tonight. I'll be home by then and I'll help you set up I have a spare bedroom. How long are you staying?"

"Yes! I am only staying for two weeks then I'm leaving. After I find the Diamond I am gone."

I roll my eyes at him, he can do whatever he wants but he's not going to get hands-on the diamond because it's with the UMDA and as much as I hate Cage and the UNDA I wouldn't tho back in my words."Fine but one mistake you are out of my hooks got it?"

"Got it." I nod and show him around the office.

"You know you're not how so remember you."

Sighing I say "A lot has changed since grade four Theo. My whole life has taken a 180 on these past two years so let's just not talk about the last 10 years okay?"

"I heard about your mom and your dad and-"

He stopped talking making me turn around to face him "And what?"

"About Cage..." Raising an eyebrow at him I cross my arms

"What about him?"

"What he did to you, how he used you and then left you like you were a piece of garbage."

He was bluffing, he couldn't know he worked at the UMDA, "I don't know what you are talking about. Sure we dated for a year or so but I don't see how that matters to you."

He smirked "Playing dumb isn't going to work Annah. Working with your Grandpa has taught me a couple of things."

"Oh yeah? Like what?"

"How to analyze people, how to catch lies."

I scoff and turn around showing him his cabin, "See you at 7."

Wandering around the office trying my best to avoid Cage I grab a cup of coffee and walk into my office again completely ignoring him and begin changing some details in the merge papers.The cabin was in complete silence until he decided to speak "Do you know Theo?" Silence, I gave him no response. I couldn't, I would lose my temper. "Hello? I'm talking to you, not a wall."

"I don't want to talk to you."

"Do you know Theo?"

"None of your business," I said hitting the keyboard a little too hard.

I don't understand why he felt the need to talk to me. "Look, Granny is pissed at me because of you, and I promised her I wouldn't trouble you or Ray anymore. But could you at least just answer some questions that I ask."

Granny is mad at him? "She's mad at you?"

"Did you forget that you told her everything yesterday? Not even considering what effect it might take on our relationship-"

"Does the UMDA, not think about what effects the people that they use have to go through after a mission?"

He clenched his jaw, turning his chair around to face me "How many times have I told you to stop throwing that in my face?"

"Why does it remind you how much of an asshole you are?"

"Do you know Theo Pierce? Yes or no."

Quickly clicking print on my computer I walk out, "None of your business." I got up and walked out of the office. Fuck him.

Cage's P.O.V

As soon as she left the office I kicked off the chair and slammed the door shut. This Theo guy isn't sitting right with me. What happened to Chance? If he stayed here it would have been so much easier to destroy King Industries, now Theo... I just need one lead, one lead to get to King, and then I'll leave with him in handcuffs. I'll never show my face to her again. Granny was right if Mom saw how I was she would be so disappointed, she'd hate me.

. . . Flashback (Cage's Childhood). . . 

"Momma, momma."

"What is it, sweetheart?" My mom said sitting there in front of the mirror doing her makeup.

"Look what I made." I excitedly pushed my picture into Mom's face "It's my girlfriend's picture."

She chuckled looking at the drawing, "It's beautiful Charming, she's beautiful. But I think you are a little too young to have a girlfriend don't you think?"

"No!" I said back quickly "When I get a girlfriend, I will protect her, keep her safe Momma. Like daddy does."

She picked me up and sat me in her lap "Daddy does an amazing job doing all those things doesn't he?"

I nodded with a huge smile present on my face "You wanna know the secret how?"

"Yeah!"

"He knows that I am strong enough to take care of myself, but he doesn't let me feel the need to fight, his arms make me feel at home, his eyes show me the world, and his smile shines so much that it automatically brings a smile on my face. He chose me because he knew a fighter would keep another fighter safe. So when you grow up find a girl who can take care of herself, who doesn't need anyone... But be the person who will assure her that she doesn't need to fight, doesn't need to be on guard when you are around."

I tilted my head to the side a little and said: "How momma?"

"Be her home. Make her feel like the only place to needs to be at the end of the day is in your arms Charming."

"Momma," I said giggling "How am I supposed to do that?"

"Don't break her trust, because once her trust is broken it will never be able to be put back together again. Trust is like a piece of glass, once it's broken it can never be put back together Charming."

"I promise I will never break her trust momma or your trust I'll be home to both of you."

"That's my Prince Charming, I love you."

"I love you too Momma."

Back then everything flew over my head, but now I understand. I became Savannah's home, put it on fire, and let it burn in front of her eyes. Like the monster I am.
