Savannah's P.O.V

Walking into the boardroom I turned in the lights, he was waiting in pure darkness dressed in all black, standing close to the door I kept my distance "You wanted to see me, Sir?" The man didn't say anything "Sir?"

Slowly he got up talking a couple of step towards me my hand immediately went onto the door knob ready to run anytime,"Don't worry I am not going to hurt you. I just came to ask for the Diamond."

Diamond, I gave that too Cage. "I'm sorry I do not know what you are talking about Sir. What diamond?"

"Look Ms. I know that you have the diamond so it would be if you give it to me the easy way." The main said taking a couple more steps towards me slowly back me up against the wall catching my hand when I tried to open the door, "King wouldn't like it if I  had to hurt you. But orders are orders and I need to get the diamond." My heart skipped a beat, Papa? He's alive? That means he has done something to Cage's family, but why hasn't he come foreword to me? The diamond?

"I don't know what the hell the diamond is? How could my grandpa sent you here if he's dead?"

"I don't have to answer to you. The diamond is the bracelet your mom gave you. Hurry up and give it to me."

"I swear I don't have it, I lost the bracelet two years ago. I have been looking for it ever since." I said lying straight in his face, it was with Cage...

"You don't have the diamond?" He said tightening his grip on my wrist almost bruising it.

"Let me go."

Clenching his jaw he pushed himself off of me taking off his hood, he was handsome had to hand him that. Perfect jaw structure, perfect body "Stop ogling me."

Snapping my eyes down to the floor, I rub my wrists that were bruised from his grip "What's your name?"

"None of your business."

"Can I leave?"

"No, " He said sitting on the table looking at me intensely "How could you lose the bracelet? Did it not mean anything to you?"

"Excuse me?"

"The bracelet was important Savannah."

"Look, Mr. Stranger, that bracelet meant a lot to me and losing it was sad enough. But I cant sit here and dwell on it." It was with Cage, hell no was about to tell this lunatic I knew where it was.

"King is going to be ballistic."

"Who's King and why is he going to be mad about something I lost? Who are you?" My heart rate picked up as his eyes met mine, breathing heavily I maintained my eye contact with him, to show him that I wasn't scared.

"You... Are something else. Any girl by now would have taken the chance and run away."

"I don't want to be killed, I have a baby to get home to Mr. Stranger."

"I'm not going to kill you, the bruises I gave you are enough to get me in trouble for today. I don't want to be tortured."

Tortured? "Can I at least know your name?"

"Theo Pierce." Why did that name seem so familiar?

"Then why did you tell Alissa your name is Abdul?"

He smirked, "Can't let everyone know my real name, now can I?"

Swallowing harshly, I let out a shaky breath "So Theo can I go now?"

"Yes, but before you leave I need to tell you something."

"Yes?"

"When I come in tomorrow, don't make a big scene. I am coming as a King representative, as Theo Pierce. I needed to Abdul as a cover name, to see if I could find the Diamond the easy way but guess not."

"What about my dad?"

"He will not be coming anymore, I will. You can go now." Without giving it a second thought I ran out of the room, everything about him was off, the look in his eye, the way he spoke, he acted. Who could I tell though? I don't trust Cage, I could tell Ellie but she might tell Cage.

Rushing into my office I sit down in my chair and drink water greedily, "What happen to you?" Cage said stepping into the office, "I have been looking for you for the past hour."

Should I tell him? Biting my lip I look down, no, "Nothing, I'm fine. I was just in a meeting."

"Right..." He said not believing me "Granny called me to tell you that Ray isn't feeling very well, she has a fever and she's not sure which medicine to give her-"

"Savy, are you even listening to me?" No, I wasn't, I was thinking about Theo

"Uh, yes um tell her to give Ray one syringe of Advil that will bring the fever down and help her got o sleep."

"Right, I'll text her right away."

Nodding at him I say "Thank you."

"What?" He said confused

"I said thank you."

"Are you feeling alright Savy? Did something happen?"

"Nothing happened Cage, stop asking me the same question over and over again. I just said thank you to you not I love you."

The room went silent. Clearing his throat, "Not use to hearing thank you from your mouth."

Looking away from him, I look down at my desk "What are you use to hearing then?"

"I love you."

Shaking away any memories that came to my mind I stood up, "Be quiet Cage."

He made is way to me slowly making sit back down in my chair trapping me there with his body "I'm used to hearing I love you from you because anytime I did something for you that's what you said instead of thanking you. Then slowly that I love you became I hate you."

"Get away from me! You don't deserve to hear I love you from me, not now, not even back then because you were playing with me like I was some toy."

"I only answered the question you asked Savy, and it's not like I liked hearing I love you coming for your mouth." Closing my eyes, I pushed back my tears.

"Cage, please I am already really stressed out. I just want to go home to Ray and sleep." I try to push him away but he catches my wrists making me hiss out of pain,

"Who gave you these bruises?"

"No one, let go, Cage, it hurts." He clenched his jaw out of anger and roughly lets go of my wrists

"Fine whatever don't tell me now, but know this when you are ready to tell me I won't be here to listen." With that, he storms out of the room texting granny

Like I would tell him, who does he think he is? I can handle Theo on my own.

Cage's P.O.V

She was hiding something, and I felt compelled to find out what it was, as it could provide a significant clue as to King's location. I find it hard to accept that she is unaware of her grandfather's existence. How was she not able to? However, there's also a chance that King's men will approach her and harass her for something she doesn't have; there are two scenarios, two questions, and the answers are with her, and she won't even turn to face me. Before his men can get to her first, I have to take action.
