Savannah's P. O. V

It's been a week since Cage moved into my office, and for the past week, he has made it his mission to annoy me every chance he gets whether that is at work or at Granny's house.  I wonder why he's even here for maybe another mission. I can't ask otherwise he's going to get all mad and say 'You are threatening the UMDA, by announcing missions out loud,'

"Hey stop cussing me out in your brain. I didn't even do anything today to annoy you." Cage said smirking leaving back in his chair.

"You being here annoys me, you don't have to do anything," I respond.

"How about you focus on your work rather than staring at me."

 I roll my eyes and say, "Please, there's nothing to stare at."

I guess he took my words for a challenge because what he did next surprised me spinning my chair around he quickly changed our positions with me sitting in his lap and him on the chair "What are you doing Cage?"

"There's nothing to stare at right?"

"Cage, let go someone might walk in."

He pushed some of the hair away from my neck and put his head against my collar bone his breath tickled against my chest, "There's nothing to stare at?"

He wanted me to take back my words, to inflate his ego a little more, "Cage I am serious let go of me right now. This job is really important to me."

"Why don't you just work in King Industries?" He asked tilting his head to the side as if he was actually curious about what I was doing with my life. 

"Because I don't want to you, If you don't remember I have moved here and I don't live in California anymore."

"Come back, Ellie misses you all the time."

I pinch his hand, successfully loosening his grip giving me time to slip out, "I don't want to come back. New York is my home now, Mine and Ray's home. King Industries has nothing to do with me if you have forgotten I gave my shares away to Charity. I know what you are doing, don't try to use me again Cage."

He pretends to be confused looking at me, "I am not trying to-"

"Don't" I stop him tired of his stupid games, "I cannot do with this you Cage, I cannot break down again because I do not know if I will be able to piece myself back together again. I am not alone anymore, I have a daughter to think about, to take care of, so go find another fucking human resource because I am not available anymore."

"I wasn't trying to do anything other than lighten the mood a bit. You don't know how to smile anymore Sav-"

"And whose fault is that?" Cage stayed quiet not looking at me anymore "Whose fault is that huh?"

"I don't have to answer to you."

"Just like the way I don't have to answer to you."

Glaring at him I storm out of my office. I cannot stand him, I cannot believe that he thinks that he can waltz back into my life once again like nothing happened and I was supposed to stand infront of him with open arms because he was back. Cage followed me out into the cafeteria roughly turning me around, he said "Stop."

"Stop what?"

"Stop hating me for doing my job. That was my job at the time and I couldn't do anything about it. Your family isn't a gem either."

Clenching jaw, "I can hate you for as long as I want and you can't do anything about it. "

"Your grandpa destroyed my family."

"Yeah? What did he do? What did he that was so bad?"

Dragging me out of the cafeteria he took me into the closet and pushed me against the door  "Let go of me, Cage. I don't like you touching me."

"He took away something from the life that you could never repay."

"Why did you use me? Grandpa did whatever he did, he should be the one repaying it. Why did you have to come and ruin my life?"

"From what I see, I changed you for the better."

"Excuse me?" I said angrily,

Leaning away he still trapped me with his arms on either side of me "Coming here was better getting beat every single day, better than working at that stupid restaurant and you grew a backbone."

"I don't have a family, I just have Ray Cage, I left everything behind even my mom. Do you know how badly I want to go visit her grave? But thinking about going back makes me dizzy because all the good memories I had are all washed away by the pain you gave me."

Pushing him away I try to leave but he stops me by grabbing my arm, "With the pain, I gave you some good memories too."

I scoff turning around, "Like what? The fake smiles, fake laughs, fake hugs, fake kisses, and fake I love you's? Thank you, Mr. Levi, I will forever be in your debt." Everything was a lie, nothing was real and he dares to say he made me smile.

Cage groaned letting go of my arm " I hope Ray doesn't grow up to be like you."

"What is that supposed to mean?"

"It means that you are a bitch, stubborn, and thick-headed."

"Don't bring Ray into our conversations. You have no right over her and never will."

"Please, I don't want anything to do with her or you. I am just here for my dad."

Glaring at him I grab my coffee and walk away into my office but then again I have no escape from him because he has to come back and sit on the other side of the room.

"Ma'am?" Alissa said through the intercom.

"Yes, Alissa."

"Some man is here saying that he needs to meet with you urgently. I have sent him into the boardroom. "

"Me? Has he given any information about what?"

"I managed to get his name. His name is Abdul." Abdul?

"Thank you, Alissa, I'll go there right away." My heart was beating fast. What did this guy want from me? Who is he?
