Joules Tesla:

Joules Tesla:
Election day, a day most New Rome inhabitants looked forward to was now one the worst days in the history of the Roman camp. Joules should have seen the signs, heeded the warning that nagged his brain from the moment he opened his eyes and now the cracked stones drank up the blood of a fellow demigod. Now a good boy, a good son was dead. Chaos reigned the square as the girl's followers attacked her opposers, attacked without mercy and the centurions did nothing to help.
Demigods rushed by him in a blur as his eyes focused on the lifeless ones staring him down accusingly. He felt the force as people pushed past him to run, his brain screaming at his feet to move, to follow the others to safety, but it was the sharp sting of cold bronze that snapped him from his stupor. His eyes shifted to connect with those of a rabid man out for blood, a chill of fear turning his blood cold. He stumbled back, barely missing the man's wild swing. Weaponless, Joules dodged attack after attack waiting for some sort of opening. Finally, he landed a kick to the man's head, disorienting him enough to run.
He pressed his hand to his side in an attempt to stop the flow of clay colored blood. Heavy pants filtered past his cracked lips as he pushed his way through the masses, terrified eyes searching for somewhere to hide from the zealots. His ears were filled with terrified screams and the beating of his own heart.
"Sewers," whispered a strange, pained voice in his head. "Run," the voice nearly screamed, urging Joules to push his feet faster.
The world began to spin, as he turned down an empty alley searching for the sewer entrance. The pounding was steadily growing louder and louder as the demigod collapsed to his knees, adrenaline and blood leaking from the wound in his side. He shook his head slightly, clearing the fog from his mind causing the sewer grate to come into focus a few inches away. Joules looked behind him to make sure no one followed him before he squeezed his body through the cold bars, making his way into the cold, stinking sewers of New Rome.

Corbin Magpie:

Welcome to one of the worst days of my life. Oh you don't believe me? Wel why don't you sit back, relax maybe pop some stupid ass popcorn and watch the disaster that is today.
Let me introduce you to my beautiful self; Corbin Magpie son of Eros at your service or whatever I don't care. Today is the day for the final debates and of course my siblings wanna drag me along. I don't know why they do it, they know I hate sitting around doing absolutely nothing but listening to stupid boring people talk about why they should be the one chosen and blah blah freaking blah. I have much better things to do with my life and by the gods I hate politics.
So yeah, the day had already started off bad and now I'm running for my life from these crazy lunatics who are die hard fans of this chick and her friends who showed up what? A couple weeks ago? How can these guys seriously want to follow her when she had her cronies kill someone?! I mean are they insane?! First she comes here stirring up trouble somehow convincing people to her and her friend's side.
Then she decides, "Hey! I know I'll run in the upcoming elections." Oh yeah cause that'll
go swimmingly. The debates go on and on, people getting voted off or whatever until it's down to her and this guy who's obviously a better candidate. Straight up she has her guy friend hold the other guy while her chick cronie stabs him! What. The. Hell?! Oh and now all her followers are attacking anyone who doesn't like her . . . which includes me now. The indifferent Eros kid who didn't even want to be here!
Now I have blood on some of my best clothes while I'm getting dragged around by my big brother looking for a place to hide from these crazy morons.
"Oh no. No no no no no no! Not the sewers there is no way I'm going in the sewers!"
"It's the only place safe Cor," my brother, Mychal, tells me. "Look we have to get down there now or we'll be killed. Either by those freaks or the mobs screaming and running."
I take a breath, running my hands through my hair.
"Ugh fine let's go." My brother lifts off the sewer cover before dragging me down the stinking hole; and now, me and my brother are traipsing through shin deep sewer water. Just the shittiest end to the shittiest day. Yay me . . .

Nicole Dabria:

Nic shut her eyes tightly, matching the near death grip she had on her girlfriend's hand. "This is horrible," She whispered, turning her head to rest in the crook of Cassie's neck, "the other legacies and I are not useless, we are not criminals to be logged and thrown away to rot."
She felt Cassie kiss her forehead, soft lips that were always a second home, "Open your eyes, love, someone is challenging her. Maybe there's hope."
As Nic opened her eyes, she saw the horror of an innocent boy being murdered. As she opened her eyes, she saw hope die. She buried herself against Cassie, her second home, her safe haven, but she felt no safer than standing in the open. The crowds around them turned into chaos, pushing and pulling like an ocean attempting to drown them in bloodlust. Nic grabbed onto Cassie's hand, using herself to shield her loved one as she forced her way through bodies, tore her clothes and limbs from hands that wished to harm them.
"We have to get out of here, go somewhere safe," Nic said to Cassie, seeing the exit, perhaps hope was not yet dead.
Until the clouds engulfed her sun, taking the light and crushing it between thundering feet, lightning strike punches, and red rain. She screamed as if she were the one being hit, as if her skin were now darkening with bruises, opening from wounds inflicted by those once called friends, but instead she was Icarus, falling and burning the whole way down. Nic allowed tears to stream down her cheeks, staining her face along with the ground they fell upon, only the water of her sorrows was not water at all, but what seemed like black ink. Her eyes filled with the ink, filling her irises and the whites of her eyes until there was only black, the tears longer ink but shadow that fell but never hit the ground. Instead they floated through the air and surrounded those who were harming her sun and attacked, pulling and choking, smashing heads into the ground and causing more red rain to fall. Nic fell to the ground as the shadows retreated, the ink leaving her tears, following her as she crawled across the ground, over corpses with shadows leaking from all orpheuses, to her sun; her last ray of hope.
"Cassie. Cassie, can you hear me?" Nic grasped onto her shoulders and shook her gently, "Cas! Open your fucking eyes!" She felt frantically on her neck for a pulse, an ocean spilling from her eyes.
Faint as hummingbird wings, the sun shined on.
"Cassandra Lesard, you beautiful moron. When you wake up, I am going to kill you," Nic whispered, picking up Cassie's limp body and shadow-traveling them out and to a safe place.
"Auntie! Cas is hurt real bad, I need you to help her," Nic placed Cassie on a couch in the living room of a small house on the outskirts of new room, "And I... I need to go. They're rounding us legacies, Cassie was attacked because I was with her." She turned to a woman with graying hair, entering from the kitchen, who only nodded turning back around to gather supplies to heal the dying sun.
Nic sat beside Cassie, stroking her hair back when she felt a warm hand grab onto her's.
"Love, it's time for you to go," Cassie said with hardly any strength in her voice. She used her free hand to take her hair out of the ponytail it had been in, the purple scarf that had held it in place now in her hand, "Don't forget us. I'll be waiting for you to come back." She wrapped it around Nic's wrist with care being sure to kiss her knuckles, scarred and seemly permanently bruised, then she shut her eyes with a tired smile.
Nic kissed her forehead turning to her aunt, entering with medical supplies and a backpack of supplies for a long, harsh journey. Auntie spoke in fast paced Latin, telling her adoptive daughter of nearly 6 years that she must take refuge in the sewers. The thought caused Nic to grimace, but she knew better than to argue with the wiser woman who had lived her whole life in New Rome.
Nic embraced her for what felt like fleeting seconds, not knowing when the next time they meet would be, or if they would ever meet again.
"Take care of her, Auntie," She said, her voice quivering as she pulled away from the woman who had raised her in a new home, "and take care of yourself."
Auntie smiled, laugh lines apparent on her face after a happy life, but she could not hide the creases of worry on her forehead even as she wished her luck and said I love you in Latin, her first language and her most comfortable.
Nic left the house, sliding her silver bracelet down into her hand and holding on tightly as it transformed itself into a silver takedown bow with a quiver of arrows appearing on her back. She travelled through crowds of people most of whom were afraid and seeking shelter same as she and though she wished to help them, to tell them of the sewers, a safe place, she knew that too many would cause those were there to be found. They would become sitting ducks. She thought to herself of the expression that she had heard her whole life, having it told to her from humans, demigods, monsters, and from grand pieces of culture such as books and movies.
Nic took one last look at the city, her home, her safe place after all the years on the run and blinked back tears as she ducked into the opening of a sewer pipe in the location Auntie had told her about.
Survival of the fittest, and, by the gods, she was going to fucking survive.

Alice Humphrey:

(In dreams )

Alice stood there watching it all seemed to unfold in slow motion. First the boy then the crowd turned into a mob how could this actually happen. "What in Tartarus is actually happening.."  she mumbles standing in the midst of it all. Amongst the mob that continued to push forward, she was pushed into someone who immediately elbowed her in the nose. Immediately she clutched at her nose as she stumbled backward. Mumbling curses that could make a sailor blush she turned to try to get out of the crowd. Blood was pooling in her hand as she used the other to push past the throng of bodies. "How.." she paused "Why...just why did this have to happen," Alice mumbled as she got past another person.

Names Alice, Alice Humprhey and that's where the adventure begins. The one I really didn't want to go on in the first place. I just really really really regret coming to New Rome. I can't possibly say regret enough to express how much I want out. It'd be just my luck as well to come when a Civil War breaks out it's pretty one-sided at the moment too. Who kills people for standing up for what's right that's just crazy right??? Lydia just seemed like a visionary when I heard her speak at first, but now I know she's as crazy as the idea of having a god as a parent yet it still happened. It just makes you think twice about playing the part of "the hero". If I could I wouldn't have made the trip to New Rome and I wouldn't have disturbed my life so much. I would- wait I'm rambling which isn't why your here. You're here to see my life go from normal well as normal as you can get with the whole demigod thing. Anyway, let's get started then to where the beginning of this story shall we.
Sunlight leaked in through the windows as everyone went about their mornings. Some moved around with a purpose the others lazed around. The latter being the case for the idle figure who was staring at her hands which held a half-finished dream catcher. Alice shifted as she stretched before she got off the bed and making it up. Picking up her bag she starts to pack everything since today would be her last day in New Rome. Picking up the unfinished dream catcher Alice places it in her bag before leaving it on the bed. Alice walked out of the door thinking about what she'd do to finish her trip before heading back to camp. Then she started to organize the list inside her head putting one thing off after another. When she finally decided what order she would do things she was opening the door. First on her list was to go to the hill that had the best view in the city and sit there. Afterward, she goes find the Preators and thank them for all of their hospitality during her stay. Alice planned to end the day with one final meal with all of them saying farewell to the people she had met and the ones she already had known.
Changing direction she decided to take the scenic route not really paying any attention to anything that she passed by. Alice's thoughts were occupied with her plan for getting back home and what'd she do to not die from boredom. Making dream catchers during all her sleepless hours couldn't be the only thing available. Leaving her thoughts for a moment she looked at the surrounding buildings. New Rome was a beautiful city and during the nights when she couldn't sleep or wouldn't she'd just roam the streets running into other night owls or centuries. Being a child of Hypnos could have its advantages at times like being able to go without sleep was a blessing and a curse. Though Alice did choose to sleep she'd constantly be harassed by other dreams, last moments, dream vision hybrid things, and just plain old nightmares.
Taking her time she began to walk up the hill which was an excellent way to burn off any food she had eaten the night before. Since she hadn't moved since last night other than to stretch and get materials for her dream catcher. As her legs began to burn she reached the top staring at the city's skyline she could even see the arena. Alice sat down criss-cross applesauce and began to play with the grass. Picking blades of grass and making small delicate rings using her nimble fingers to thread one blade of grass after another. Once she had done five she fell back on the ground and stretched her limbs before letting out a sigh. The grass against her bare skin tickled quite a bit when she moved so she closed her eyes. Listening to the hustle and bustle of the people below her she let herself be taken by the sounds.

When she finally saw an opening she made a break for it she wasn't armed so seeing an Centurie step in front of her she halted in her steps.
Turning she was met with a blade sweeping towards her head she dropped to the ground. Scrambling to her feet she put up her fists swinging at the person who had swung the blade trying to disarm them. Alice landed a punch on the person before attempting to grab the sword from their hands. Pushing with all of her force which was a lot more than she was used to she grappled for the sword. The weight of her body caused for her and her attacker to fall down. The sword flying from both of their grasps she started to crawl towards it. 'I have to get it' repeated in her head with a voice that was deeper than hers. It suddenly hit her that she was dreaming and was seeing something through someone else's eyes.
Whoever she was at the moment grabbed hold of the weapon before they felt their leg being pulled on. Swinging the blade widely behind themselves they heard someone cry out feeling their leg be let go. They got to their feet and rushed through the crowd swinging at any threat that stood in their way. Sweeping the blade in a wild arc they twisted at the shouts of pain, and anger. As they were surrounded by more people in the crowd. Turning they glanced at how many were around them and watched as they started to converge on them. "Damn it!" they yelled over the noise before swinging at someone who got to close. "When will this end!" they yelled swinging again this time slower. They were running out of steam and adrenaline wasn't working at the moment. Their breaths were getting heavier as the minutes passed another person stepped forward. Swinging at them in a downward arc they took a step back before taking in the situation. Taking in another labored breath they threw the sword at the closest person before falling to their knees and glaring up at the enclosing group. "Spero autem omnes vos adepto quod merentur..." they say weakly as a blade rushes towards their head.

Alice's eyes flew open as she took a sharp breath her hand flying to her neck before scanning her body for wounds. Taking another breath she curses that she dreamt about such a thing before standing up and looking at the city. "Well Damn" she mumbled taking in the city that was now in chaos. "I really just.." she didn't finish see as she just lived someone's last moments. "I really need to just stop dreaming," Alice mumbled before turning and running down the hill. Smoke filled her nose as she ran down the hill which prompted to pump her legs faster. It was clearly time for her to leave New Rome and never come back. Reaching the bottom of the hill she pumped her legs harder turning corners and alleys that she had passed on her way to the hill. If she wanted to get back to camp safely she'd need her bag.
The wind rushed past her as she ran turning corners trying not to slide into things that were in her way. Reaching the building in no time she rushed in grabbing her bag and turning to leave. Halting in her tracks when she saw light leaking into the room and voices accompanying it. "I heard the door open go check it out." a feminine voice whispers loudly "You heard it you check it.". Alice hears a sigh before footsteps can be heard approaching the door. 'Shit, shit, shit!' she thought to glance around the room her eyes landed on the door as it creaked open. "Fuck it" she mumbled before bashing into the door and out of door knocking whoever was on the other side down. Not even lancing at whoever it was she takes off down the hall and out the door.

'Let's assess the situation Preator Amirez and Zhang are missing is what I got from the snippets of conversation from centuries.' she thinks turning into yet another alley. The situation as of now was dire in her opinion. "Since the rightful Praetors are gone and the crazy usurper is a power-hungry dictator... yeap it's time to leave." Alice thought out aloud crouching behind a statue as a Century passed by. The light from their torch reflecting off of the statue then disappearing around a corner. Standing up she rushed away through another back street and crouching down and watching another Century stand above her hiding spot. Two shadows flew past her and past the Century who broke out in a run after them. Soon being followed by a whole group of them heavily armed.
Waiting for the sound of their footfalls to disappear she stood up and started to run in the other direction. As she turned she saw a glint out of the corner turning around fully she saw a bead necklace. It beads looked similar to the ones she had hanging around her neck.  Picking it up she looked the way that the group went before looking down at her hand again she made a decision. Turning she ran the way the group went catching up to the Centuries in no time. After all, they were weighed down by heavy armor and their weapons. Staring past them Alice saw a flash of red hair disappear past a corner. Taking an alley to her left she pumped her legs and arms to run faster. 'I have to make it there first' she thought jumping over some fallen bricks.
The alley finally opened up into a street just as the two ran past she braced herself sending them sprawling into another alley. Groaning lightly she scrambled to her feet and winced. It wouldn't be the first time she pulled something but it still hurt just as much as the first time. "get up" she mumbled limping further into this alley. "They will be here any moment come on" Alice said hobbling as fast as she could. Turning another corner she's net with a dead end. Looking around she sees a man cover bending down she forces her fingers into the cracks and lifts it up. Motioning for the two girls to  jump down. They hesitated before one with a bow strapped to her back jumps down. The other just glared at Alice before jumping down as well. Making sure her grip was tight on the man cover she grabbed the end of the hole as footsteps approached. Dragging the man cover back into place before dropping the rest of the way down. As she landed on her feet per Ain shot through her leg. Causing her to buckle and splash into the sewage "Man I'm gonna need a shower." She mumbled.

Translations:
I hope you all get what you deserve

Feyre Azure:

  She was motionless.
Feyre stood in the crowd watching as the chaos unfilded around her. Feeling the familiar bow on her back, she was hoping she wouldn't have to use. And boy was she so wrong. She was no longer startled by the sight of blood, but the smell did make her nauseous.
To her left were the wounded bodies that were being tossed away. To her right were some Centuries who looked so helpless. Well helpless until she saw one attack a pedestrian.
The unknown order caught her off guard.
You should run
Her feet didn't move at the response.
"Fey, move!"
She was caught off guard when she saw the redhead run to her. Ezra instinctively pushed Feyre out of the way. Feyre almost turned to run until she saw what her friend pushed her away from.
A tall statue of some person or god she didn't recognize was falling. Before she could process, gravity had its way and the statute fell.
"Ezy!"
Feyre finally moved in an attempt to save her friend. Ezra barely rolled away as the statue struck her back.
"Shit."
Feyre pulled her up and dusted the dust off of her. "Are you okay? Are you bleeding?" She instinctively tried to lift up Ezra's shirt but before she could, Ezra scolded her and smacked her hand.
"Time and place Fey, time and place." Ezra soon pulled her comrade away from all of the screams and fighting. "What about-" Feyre paused to take in air. She was never the athletic type. Ezra on the other hand was conditioned for something like this.
"If you're asking about everyone else then you're honestly dumb right now Fey." She yanked Feyre's arm causing her to fall behind a broken wall. "I didn't mean it that way, but you know better than to ask questions like that. What about them? Hell. What about ourselves?!" In one movement, Ezra swiftly pulled out the dagger she kept in her boot. "Now you see why I told you to bring your bow." Feyre nodded sheepishly pull it off her back and groping for her quiver. Her hands were shaking and her breaths were shallow. "Your chest." Ezra looked over the wall. "In the name of Pluto, why all of the freaking Centuries." Her chest? Feyre took a breath letting the air travel down to her diaphragm withing her stomach. Her heartbeat soon calmed down as she let her fingers hang dropping her bow. It felt good. Like back at the camp under her favorite tree with her two best friends. Laughing like no one was watching. Doing the dumb things that would make you shake your head but laughing because you knew your best friends are idiots anyway.
The evening was her favorite. Strumming her ukulele sprawled on one of her friends like a cute, cuddly, mildly annoying cat. Staring at the night sky hoping to find a fall in star.
It all came back to her like a warm hug. A small clatter brought her back to the chaos she lived in. She snatched her bow realising she may have gave them away.
"Hey Ezy."
"Yes miss freckles?" Feyre rolled her eyes and proceeded to ask her anyway. "What are praetors again? " Ezra face palmed and grabbed Fey's nose. "Ow."
Ezra eyed her friend in disbelief. "You read almost everything and you didn't do your research?"
"You said almost everything, not me." With a sigh, Ezra quickly looked over the wall. "Praetors are like governors. That's the best I got for this situation. Now give me a minute." Ezra closed her eyes. Fey knew that look and left her alone. Finding her quiver, she checked her arrows. Sliding her finger over the few she had, she felt like she could manage.
I'll check Ezy. It's been more than a minute.
To her surprise, Fey looked like a deer in headlights. She opened her mouth to speak but Ezra was already looking. She watched as Ezra's head went from side to side slowly. Deciding to take a look, Fey was met by the sound of metal and a blade near her face. Ezra grabbed her friend and ran once more. Even Fey knew their weapons would do nothing right now.
......
It didn't take a psychiatrist to see the desperation in her movements. Everything was blur as Fey followed Ezra blindly. She wasn't sure if Ezra thought everything through like she usually does. Ezra stopped causing Feyre to bump into her. "A warning would be nice." Ezra shushed as a response looking back and forth. She heard armor to the left. "This way." Before they could take another step, Fey let go of Ezra. She hunched over trying to catch her breath. Ezra began to pace shaking her head again.
"It's coming from the left, but what if I'm wrong. I didn't catch the other one, I don't know how I didn't. " Ezra was rambling to herself trying to save her own sanity. She stopped when she felt a hand in her back.
"No over thinking." She whispered. "You've done well." Ezra shook her head and dragged Feyre down the road. Once they heard the clanging of metal, they knew they were getting closer. "Come on. " Feyre attempted to lead by Ezra soon took over.
"Fey, you have no clue where we're going?" Feyre snorted. "And you do?" Feyre let out a laugh and she knew she could see Ezra fight back a smile. The two ran to an Alley where they were met with a wall. Ezra groaned and looked around.
The Centuries were growing closer, but they still had time. The two steppes out from their corner only to be met my someone else. Fey didn't catch her feature but she did knock the two of them pretty hard on their side to get them to change direction. With a questioning stare, Ezra ran. Fey followed her. The girl with them was limping. Feyre moved closer, but Ezra soon caught her hand again. She shook her head and focused ahead. Fey knew not to disagree right now. "They will be here any moment." Somehow the injured girl was in front of them. She was hopping like a child on a playground and Feyre was in awe if her energy. "Come on! " Ezra ran faster. So did Fey. Turning another corner they found a dead end. Ezra's foot went in the direction they were running before. Fey knew she didn't trust her. There was a glare on the ground. Something was kinda shiny.
Jewelry?
The girl ran to the thing and used her hands to pry it open. The two watched and Fey soon realised it was a sewer drain. The girl had managed to open it and beckoned them to go down.
She has small fingers.
Fey looked down the seemingly endless pit and held her breath.
You can do this Fey. It's just darkness and smelly water. Yeah. No monster is gonna jump out at you. You're 16 not 12. You can do this.
She felt a small push at her back. Ezra was never patient. Feyre took another breath and jumped in the sewers. Her feet hit the ground with a thud and soon she felt the pain in her flat feet. Ezra however saw the ladder and climbed down until she felt like she could jump off. As soon as Ezra landed she grabbed Fey again. "What's with all the grabbing?! And what about-"
"Sshh!" Ezra pulled her away before the other girl could jump down. As much as she wanted to help Fey knew deep down that she had to be her own priority.
