The girls were decorating, chatting and playing during the class period. After that, it was lunch time. They were very relieved. After all that work they were exhausted!

Applejack and Rainbow Dash went to the cafeteria. Granny Smith (the cafeteria lady) served them:

A tomato and cucumber salad

Some chicken

A glass of orange juice

An apple

A slice of chocolate brownie.

The two found a big table to eat and sat there. Seconds later, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rarity, Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer came because there were no more tables to sit on.

-Excuse me darlings, can we eat here? There are no tables left- said Rarity.

-Of course!- exclaimed Applejack and Rainbow Dash at the same time.

They all joined in for lunch and started introducing themselves. They started to talk about other things and immediately started sharing a bond.

After lunch, they all had English class with Miss Cherlee. In the corridor they talked about the teacher, how she was very kind and gentle. She was their favorite teacher.

Miss Cherlee started explaining the Past Simple when the headmistress came into the classroom announcing that there was going to be a fancy dress contest. Pinkie looked at Rarity with a confused look.

- A girl has her ways- said Rarity with a smirk on her face.

She explained how she had convinced the headmistress to approve her idea.

After class, the bell rang and it was time to go home. Rarity called the girls and told them:

-Since the fancy dress contest is going to be this afternoon and we are all friends, could you come to my house?- said Rarity

-Why?- asked Sunset Shimmer

-It's a surprise!- exclaimed Rarity.

The girls said yes, very intrigued. They followed Rarity to a very big house.

- Wow, Rarity. You have an enormous house!- said Twilight Sparkle.

- I know, come inside- offered Rarity.

They all came inside and Rarity took them to what seemed to be her bedroom.

Rarity took out some makeup and some dresses and said:

-It's time for your surprise. It's a makeover for tonight's contest!- said Rarity.

She immediately did the girls' makeup and dressed them up for the occasion. Then, she did hers. She was about to finish when she started floating all of a sudden and started to grow ears and a tail!

The others were astonished. Especially Twilight, she knew lots of things, but she had never seen anything like that before. Rarity looked like a cross between a pony and a human!

-Wow- exclaimed the girls, still recovering from their shock.

Rarity's jaw nearly fell. She had no idea of what had just happened, but she liked her new form. She waved her hands and accidentally made a crystal shield. The rest wowed as they finished getting ready.

Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy waved and headed out to Pinkie's bakery. Pinkie had offered to bake all the treats for the party and Fluttershy came to help. They spent some time baking cupcakes, brownies, cake, pastries and lots more things. Pinkie Pie decided it was time to add sprinkles. She threw them, but they exploded mid air! Then, just as Rarity, she transformed and explosive sprinkles flew everywhere, making a giant mess.

Fluttershy went to get some kitchen paper to clean, and a bird came to her and chirped. She, to her surprise, understood what it was saying. She helped the bird, causing her to also transform. She had ears, a tail and wings!

The two, knowing that they also had powers, used them to make the cleaning easier, because they didn't have time to waste.

Meanwhile, Twilight and Sunset were packing some things to take to the party, when Twilight's wallet levitated. Just like that, she transformed. A very shocked Sunset Shimmer held Twilight while she tried to reach her wallet and saw everything that Twilight was thinking in that moment by touching her and transformed too.

A while later, the girls headed to the gym before the party to make sure that it was ready. Pinkie, Fluttershy and Rarity got on stage to set up the microphones, when the flooring broke, leading to Rarity falling and hurting her arm. The girls ran to help her get up. Applejack inspected the floor and saw that it was very bad. She sighed:

-Dear Celestia, how do we fix this in time!- said Applejack- I can fix this, but not on my own in this little time!

- I can help- said Rainbow Dash.

- Thank you- said Applejack.

The others took Rarity to get her arm checked whilst Applejack and Rainbow Dash got to work. Applejack got some very heavy pieces of metal, but she dropped them, she was floating!

She grew ears and a tail and understood that her power was super strength, getting the metal bar and hammering it. Rainbow Dash shook her head because she was in shock and ran to get wood. She surprisingly went super fast, as if she had super speed. She was right, she transformed and got wood to Applejack, who was doing her best to fix the stage. Applejack saw that she had also transformed, and continued to build. With the new powers, they finished only a minute later and hugged admiring their impressive work.

Just in time, the rest came with Rarity, who just had a scrape.

- You two finished very fast- said Sunset.

- Well... - said Applejack and Rainbow Dash.

Everyone explained how they also got their powers, making Rarity a bit relieved.

- Oh, I am glad to know that I am not the only one- she said.

They laughed and the party started. They danced to pop, rock and classic music. Then, the moment that they had all been waiting for. The announcement of the contest winners.

The girls held hands, anxious for the result.

- Dear students, we are here to announce the winners of the fancy dress contest. Firstly, please give an applause for Rarity, whose idea this was.- said headmaster Celestia. There was a loud applause - Now, without further ado, the winners of the fancy dress contests are...- there was a long pause- Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle and Sunset shimmer!

Applejack and Rainbow hugged each other, Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy did a little "victory dance" and Twilight and Sunset jumped in excitement. They couldn't believe it!

They went on stage and received a trophy. They were told that the other prize was a surprise.

After the party, they hugged and said good night. Each girl went to her house and dreamt about what happened.

It was a magnificent day. What they didn't know is that their mystery prize was going to be even more exciting.
