If This is Reality, I Don't Want To Stay
"Maice! Please, Maice!" Evan cried. An arm wrapped around her waist. "Let go! I need to get to her!" She yelled. "Evan, please." Someone said. "Bull! Please!" She wriggled out of Bull's arms and ran towards Maice's lifeless body. Suddenly, crimson red light burst through the ground, stone and moss ivy vines surrounded Maice's body, and enclosed it in a dome. "Nooooo! Maice! Goddamnit, MAICE!!!" Evan screeched at the top of her lungs, still running towards the dome. She rubbed her hands together quickly, sparks appeared, she kept going until she had a full ball of electricity, then pounded her hands against the wall. Nothing happened. "What?" Evan mumbled, tears still rolling from her eyes. Bull and Roy were having a small meeting as they stared at her. Evan fell to the ground, sobbing. Yen sat next to her and did the same. Ed and Al walked up, you could hear Alphonse's weep echoing in his suit. "This is all a dream. We're all gonna wake up. And everyone will be back to normal, right?" She sniffled, slightly smiling. No one answered. "Right?!" She started to bawl again. She tipped her head back and hit the stone ivy. It broke into pieces, littering the ground. Evan got up and ran to Maice. She looked at her arms, the popping red veins faded on both her arms. Evan peered down at both arms again. "Ed!" She yelled, sobbing once more. "Bring her BACK! Wake me up... Please. Get me out of this nightmare." "Evan..." Edwards voice was soft and kind. "This is reality, we can't bring her back." "I DON'T CARE!! JUDT BRING HER BACK!!" She screeched, laying her head on Maice's chest, listening to her heart beat fade. "If this is reality..." She sniffled, tears flooding her eyes. "Then I don't want to stay." She let her tears go, still listening closely to Maice's heart.
Ba-bump.....ba-bump.....ba-bump..........ba....bump........ba.....bump..............ba........................................................................................................
And Maice Andrews died.
Something moved in the rubble, Evan wiped away her tears. A small, gray cat, with a black patch around one of her bright blue eyes. A soft mew came from the kitty, as she walked over to Evan. The kitten rubbed against her leg affectionately, then stared into Evan's eyes, speaking to her with no words. "Maice is gone. But look around you. The story isn't over yet."
