Daughters of Eve
Women; the bringers of life, the nurturers of young, the daughters of Eve.
Women are fascinating creatures; they come in different sizes, different colors, different lives.
Some have one mother, and one father. Some have one mother, and no father. Some, one father, and no mother. Some two mothers, or even two fathers. And there are some, with none.
Some have siblings, a brother, or a sister or two. Some grow alone. With no one to experience life with.
Women are everywhere. There's not a place without them, and we wouldn't have a place without them. Without these brilliant daughters of Eve humankind would cease to exist, for only they have been blessed with the ability to give life to another human being. Only they carry their unborn children inside them for many months, letting them develop and grow and prepare to enter the world we call Home.
They then continue to care for these children after they have entered the world, and they teach them of the darkness that Reality holds for them. But also the wondrous things that await them as they grow. They do so until the child can care for himself or herself, so that they may do the same when they are grown.
Except, some don't.
Some women can't handle caring for another life, so they don't. They give the child that they created to another, so that they may take their place in guiding the young spirit through life as their own.
Many women grew as the child who was given to another. And they grow trying to figure out why they are where they are. Why couldn't the woman who birthed her, take care of her? Did she not want her? Had she done something wrong?
And these questions haunt them.
They gnaw away at the back of the minds of these daughters of Eve, and they break them. They make them feel less than what they truly are. And these poor daughters of Eve are drawn to awful things.
They hurt themselves, they sell themselves, they try to fill the longing for wantedness with those who take advantage of their vulnerability. And these women fall deeper into darkness. Some fall so deep that they take the precious life that they thought was so unwanted.
But these sweet women couldn't be more wrong, but by then it's too late. So the rest of Eve's daughters weep for their fallen sisters, they cry out for them in hopes that their words will reach their spirits as they go join their Father in Heaven.
Then they fight.
They fight for their fallen sisters so others won't fall until their time. They fight the heinous world that tore their sisters away from them.
And these women live on. They continue living the lives that were created by other women, and they fight.
These women fight many things, they fight darkness within their hearts, within their minds, within the ones they love. Their daily battles leave scarred and tired, but they keep on fighting. They fight the feeling of nothingness that their fallen sisters tried to fight. And they fight in different ways.
Some fight through song. They pour their hearts into lyrics that express their innermost thoughts and fears. Some sing them to people. These gifted women are our angelic sopranos, and our heavenly altos. Others simply play the instruments and pour out their emotions into the instrument and it plays the sound of their hearts.
Some fight through stories. They create worlds with women who fight great evils, and they show their fellow daughters of Eve how strong they can be. These talented women are our authors. The mothers of characters who in worlds of magic, fight using knowledge. The mothers of characters who fight through stereotypes that are placed on them because of their gender, their interests, or looks. The mothers of characters who show young women what it means to be a woman.
Others fight through word. They are incredibly vocal. These women cannot be held back when they believe in something, and when they believe in something they will fight. They'll preach their philosophies to anyone who will listen, and even to those who won't. They speak out in front of crowds for those who fear to do the same. They are the starters of revolutions, they fight for their fellow daughters of Eve, and even sons of Adam, because there is nothing they wouldn't do for humankind.
All women are beautiful in their own unique ways.
Their sizes vary, and so do their skin. They talk different, act different, and think different. But they're still united, for no matter who they are or where they come from, they are all daughters of Eve, and they are all sisters bound not by blood, but by heart. And at the end of the day, when their hair is down and their makeup is washed away by the warmth of the shower, and they're all alone, the women of the world are at their most beautiful and most fascinating for they can be truly them.
They can truly be daughters of Eve.
~~~
Hi there, so this is a little thing I came up with the other night while I was in the shower. I have absolutely no idea what inspired this, one minute I'm singing along to "This is Gospel" by Panic! At the Disco, the next my mind is racing with words that were flowing into some thing that I absolutely needed to write down. So as soon as I got out of the shower I threw on my pajamas and immediately pulled up Google Docs and started writing. And thus this little thing—I'm not sure what to call it—was born.
I'm not sure why this was written, but I'm glad it was. It's something that I hope will reach the hearts of my fellow daughters of Eve, so that will realize their own amazingness. My hope is that the girls who feel as though they're not wanted realize that they are wanted because they were brought into the world by a woman who wanted them to live and experience life, even if she couldn't watch.
So yeah, I guess that's it. I hope you guys liked this, and I'll see you guys later. Bye 😊
