Chapter 2 - Percy

Finding a girl aboard the Argo II is not what Percy expected. Especially not a girl that looked EXACTLY like him.

He shook her awake, and her eyes fluttered open. Percy almost stumbled back. Sea green eyes like his.

The girl looked confused like she'd never been woken up before.

"Who-what-where?" She muttered, still half asleep.

Annabeth was standing behind Percy, her hand on her new sword, just in case this girl happened to be a monster. Honestly, Percy was tired of monsters. Tartarus was enough for him.

The others were below deck, asleep, while Percy and Annabeth were above deck with Leo, who was steering the ship, oblivious to the problem below.

Suddenly, the girl's eyes snapped awake. Annabeth had her sword drawn and the girl scrambled out of the chair she was in. Percy lost his footing and fell onto the deck.

The girl dashed away from Annabeth. However, she wasn't looking where she was going and-SLAM! Her head hit the mast of the ship so hard, Percy thought he heard her head crack.

She screamed and crumpled to the floor, unconscious. Percy tried to run over, but Annabeth held him back. Leo was now next to her, confused.

"What happened?" He asked. "Who's that!?" Leo pointed a finger at the girl who lay crumpled on the deck floor.

A pang of guilt struck Percy's gut.

Maybe she was just a lost and confused mortal who found her way onto the ship. But still, how would a mortal find their way onto a giant ship like the Argo II?

"Percy, we should do something. I don't think I trust this girl." Annabeth said to Percy, interrupting his thoughts. Her voice seemed to drain out of his mind as he stared at the girl.

He started to walk towards the girl, and Annabeth and Leo shot each other nervous glances. Percy knew what they were thinking. "He's finally lost it", or "I think Tartarus got to his brain", or something similar.

Black hair, slightly tanned skin, sea green eyes. She could be Percy's twin. Percy stared at the colossal bump on her head.

"Leo." Percy said, turning around. Leo snapped to attention.

"Yes?" Leo said nervously. Annabeth was fiddling with her blonde hair. Yeah, they definitely thought Percy was crazy.

"Get me some ambrosia and nectar." Percy said.

Leo was about to walk off when Annabeth caught his arm in a death grip.

"Stay here." She said. Leo nodded and then Annabeth turned back to Percy. "Percy, we're not wasting our ambrosia and nectar on HER."

She emphasized on the word "her", showing Percy that she was jealous. Percy realized automatically that he was being stupid.

First of all, if the girl was mortal, ambrosia and nectar would kill her. Secondly, they were running low on the godly food and they needed it for themselves.

Annabeth's stormy grey eyes stared into Percy. He gave in and stood up.

"Fine." He sighed. "What do we do with her?"

Annabeth was about to speak when the boat lurched to the side. All three of them had to grab the railing to stay upright.

"What was that!?" Annabeth yelled.

Leo ran up towards his bronze dragon, Festus, and pulled a few buttons.

"It's the ocean!" Leo screamed. "We're being attacked by the ocean!!!!"

Annabeth gave Percy a look which gave him the signal to do something. He was the sea god's son after all.

Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the girl on the ground shift as if gaining consciousness. Percy tried to ignore her as he focused on calming the waves.

However, his powers seemed to be weakening as if someone was fighting against him. Percy stumbled back, bewildered.

"Hello Percy." A familiar voice said behind him. Annabeth and Leo were wide-eyed, staring behind Percy.

Percy whirled around and was pretty sure he now wore the same expression as Leo and Annabeth.

"Dad." Percy muttered.

"Hi son. I'm going to need your sister."
