Wait, the Main Character is 10?

Now, I know you must be thinking, who wants to read a story about a 10 year old girl who happens to be the daughter of some crusty old sea god? A girl who's only friends are a giant snake; a girl who turns invisible; a bloodthirsty daughter of a war god; oh, and a satyer who really likes to beat things with a club? A girl who is constantly losing track of her own memories? Sounds like the start to a really bad children's action novel series that drags out for more than ten years, but I'm gonna tell you anyway.

My name is Hana. Just Hana. Don't have a last name or anything, and that's because I never knew my mother, and Chiron isn't sure what to call me. I've been at Camp Half Blood for as long as I can remember. Thats a little ironic because I can only remember to about five years back. Chiron says he wants me to start writing this so I can keep track of my memories as they happen, because I have a habit of losing them. Sometimes I can't remember what I ate for breakfast or if I even ate at all, other times it's like I forget who I even am, rambling on about strange people, weird fruits, and a giant wearing a coat of pink feathers. I don't like those days at all.

Anyway, back to the story. It was a pretty normal day at camp. I cleaned up my cabin a bit and scrubbed out the fountain(for a magical fountain there is a lot of algae), went to breakfast, had my Greek lesson with Annabeth(although I've called her Annie for as long as I've known her, the only reason she doesn't kill me for it is because I had a hard time saying Annabeth when I was little so I just called her Annie instead.), the usual stuff. It wasn't until later that things really got weird. I was walking back to my cabin after the campfire, it was cold and stormy, how it had been since the Winter Solstice, and Annie was walking with me.

"I can't believe he won't let me have a quest." She complained to me as we walked.

"Just give it time Annie, he'll have to give you one eventually." I replied with a shrug.

"I hope so." Annie said with a far off look on her face. Soon we saw Chiron galloping over to us.

"Annabeth, I need your help. The half blood that Grover was looking after is here, and he just fought against the Minotaur. He's hurt, and so is Grover." Annie nodded and ran off to Thalia's Pine. Chiron looked at me and told me to head back to my cabin. This I reluctantly did. Who was this kid? How did he survive against the Minotaur? My head was spinning as I walked into my cabin. I didn't want to go to sleep that night, but with the warmth of my cabin, and the soft gurgling from the fountain, I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
