Chapter Two: To Save A Life
"We have a mission for you." Klarion was in his natural, childish, form.
"A mission?" I asked, he had always said I wasn't ready. My heart sped up in excitement. My first real mission!
"Yes. You will be using a special weapon. We have been preparing you for this." Another warlock piped up.
"Go get it." Klarion commanded him. When the servant returned, he came back with glistening silver bracelets. If I were to put them on, they would cover half of my forearm.
"What does it do?" I asked.
"They used to be gold, but you... changed. You are ready, now that they have changed to silver. Although it is not black, it will do." I didn't understand, but they handed then to me anyhow.
"Remember when we covered Egyptian myths and gods?" Klarion asked. I replied with a simple nod. "Remember Set? The god of chaos?"
"Yes..." Where was he going with this?
"And Ra? The sun god?" He asked again. I nodded.
"Both forged these long ago. The bracelets were split between good and evil." He began a story. "And during an argument, the bracelets fell to earth. Meant for The Lord of Chaos or The Lord of Order. But when neither got their 'present' it was left to a family. And it was passed down. The person in poisson of the weapon, the heirloom chooses wether that are good or evil. Now that you have the backstory, you can get your mission." Klarion giggled, his fingers curling with a wicked sense
"Which is...?" Get the the point man.
"You are to save the children known as Young Justice when I attack them." Klarion stated. I was a little confused, to say the least.
"Why? Why would I save them if you attack them?" I began to question his motives. It doesn't make any sense. Not like you ever do...
"Intel. Get on the team, and get intel." He laughed his evil laugh.

"Maneuver seven!" I watched from a distance as I sat in a tree. I studied their patterns earlier in the year. Artemis fulfilled the maneuver. Klarion was prepared and blasted her with a wave of magic. Klarion's minions had the other members of the team busy. I put on the bracelets. I felt the power surge in my veins. My clothes changed into skinny pants and shirt to a silver suit. There was even a belt and a cape. Artemis was the life I was to save. A huge stake made of red magic and aimed it at her heart. I soared into the sky and blasted Klarion away. I soared higher into the air an blasted at his again, the ray of silver leaving my hands.
"You're going to have to do better than that." He laughed in his chaotic way.
"I've just started Witch Boy," I spat. I have to admit, it was nice to call him a name. I sent a blast of sliver flying his way. He skid back. He put up a shield. He wasn't going to make this easy. A helmet formed on my head, one that covered my face. I landed and put up a very large shield around Artemis and myself.
"You okay?" My voice was disguised in a mechanical way. She groaned in reply. Artemis tried to sit up but grabbed her head.
"Ouch," She complained in a low voice, "Who are you?"
"The person who just saved your butt. Sit. You're bleeding. Egadnab!" A thick ace-wrap wrapped around her shoulder. "That could need stitches... No time for that now." I hovered just inside the barrier. I looked around, but Klarion was no where to be found. I did what was needed to be done. Although there was a few straggler minions, the deed was done.
"Talk to them. Not long. You will need to leave." Klarion's voice said through the transmitter. I disarmed the shield.
"Who are you?" Robin asked. He crossed his arms firmly against his chest.
"I haven't really though up a name yet..." In reality, the thought never crossed my mind.
"A better question is; What are you? Some sort of Dr. Fate copycat?" Kid Flash asked. I chuckled. Only if he knew.
"And why would you help us?" Artemis was able to stand, staggering against Kid Flash for support.
"You're the good guys right? Good and good mix. If you don't get it, I'm one of the good guys!" I replied, the lies rolled off my tongue.
"That sounds like someone with bad intentions would say," Aqualad began to say something else, but I was distracted as the com buzzed with noise.
"Get out." Klarion's command was clearcut trough the static.
"Well, I've gotta fly, but if you need me," What? Shut your mouth Amelia before you say something stupid. "Shout." Well, hopefully the bracelet would notify me or something. I raised and flew into the night.

"You did well for a rookie." Klarion said. "Now get to bed. Training this Saturday."
"Yes, sir," I took off one of the bracelets which deactivated the whole suit and special powers. I looked normal, so I kept the other one on just in case I needed a quick change. Training. Sheesh. Right after I do some work for you, you still wanna train? I grunted and got ready for bed.
"Guess I can read." I pulled up a book, opened to the page that I mesmerized and began reading the epic tale that didn't involve an evil parent. Like Klarion, but he really isn't like a dad at all is he now.
