To commerate Ender's downfall, everyone decided to hold a huge ball. Of course, everyone needed a date. That was both exciting and nerve-wrecking. For some people, it was a chance to spend some time with their partners, while for others it was a chance to ask out their crush. Aiden fitted into the second category. He was finally gonna do it. He was going to ask Maya to the ball. He wasn't surprised much when Gil asked out Ava, and Becky met up with some nice dude, so now Aiden just needed a date now. Since Jesse had proved to be good when Lukas asked out Jess, he was going to give support. Now he was around the corner while Aiden was walking over to Maya. They had decided to go into town today to get some items, and in the village square was the perfect place to ask a girl out on a date. Aiden walked over to her nervously, his stomach in knots, but he put on a brave smile to look confident.

"So, Maya, do you want to go to the dance with me?" he asked.

Maya didn't know how to respond. She had two things on her mind.
Here was the first thing:

But I have no experience in dating. What if I screw up?
Luckily Olivia was watching around the corner. Being the Daughter of Love, she could shoot magic invisible arrows from the Aphrodite's Arrow. She took aim... and fired straight at Maya's back. Maya lurched forward at Aiden amd fell into his arms "Did you just do what I think you did?" Axel grinned, handing her a cookie. "Maybe..." Olivia giggled. "Oh... uh... hey..." Maya blushed furiously. She looked Aiden up and down. Something was different about him. For example, since when was he so attractive? Maya didn't notice she was smiling dreamily. "Are you OK?" Aiden asked. "Oh! Uh, yeah! I'm perfectly fine!" Maya snapped out of it. Olivia twirled an arrow in her hand. "Powerful stuff." she commented, grinning. "So, do you want to go with me?" Aiden asked awkwardly. Maya could only nod, for if she tried to talk she would probably say something stupid. Aiden looked calm on the outside, but inside he felt like he was going to faint with pleasure. Yes, that's how strong they feel about each other.

Later on, Reuben had decided to do a bit of sleuthing. He needed to spy on Ava. Something about her didn't feel right, as if she might spring at any moment now. So, changing into a little mouse, he followed her and the Blaze Rods around town. Nothing too suspicious, except she was purchasing a lot of fabric. Eventually she went off on her own, and Reuben continued to creep around her stealthily. But then something freaky happened. Ava suddenly whipped round, and black chains like Maya's blue ones wrapped around Reuben. Then they dangled from a tree, with Reuben upside down. He tried shapeshifting into a bunch of creatures but he couldn't break out. "Aiden trusted you!" he gritted his teeth. "I just don't like stalkers snooping around! How about you leave me alone, and I'll release you after I've done my plan!" Ava walked away cackling, and Reuben was left there, calling for help. "Mom! Dad! Axel! Petra! Anyone!" he cried, but nobody heard.

Meanwhile, Aiden and Maya were getting ready for tonight. They were in their Child outfits, and both were trying to make an impression. It was to be a spectacular celebration with fireworks and flowers and everything. When they were ready, Aiden met Maya outside and they both went in together. Everyone was already dancing with their partners, and Maya was ready to begin, but then Aiden took her hand. "May I have this dance, my lady?" he asked, smiling, and Maya accepted. Then he put one arm around her waist, and the other on her shoulder. Maya copied, and they begin to move around the dance floor. A few people watched, including the Order, as they whirled round. This went on for a while, but then Aiden decided he was ready to show his love interest what he had prepared...

"OK, open your eyes!" Aiden said finally and Maya obeyed. Up in the night sky, beautiful multicoloured stars and galaxies could be seen, and little stardust critters danced around the two. It was one of the most wonderful things Maya had ever seen. "You did this all for me?" she said, star struck, quite literally. "Of course I did! I... I love you." Aiden said finally. Suddenly the world seemed to dissappear around them. All they could see were his green and her blue eyes. Aiden and Maya began to lean in for the kiss, closer and closer...

Yep ruined the moment again! XD

A huge lion came into the room. It wasn't Leo, it was a normal lion. For about ten seconds, at least, before Reuben turned into a human. He stumbled over to his mother, clutching a bleeding arm, everything bruised and hurt. "Reuben! Who did this to you?!" Lukas cried. Reuben looked at the crowd weakly and pointed.

"Ava did it."
