Sierra

"Oh, crap." Sierra muttered.

The two rushed in there to see Jasmine backed in the corner, her good eye darting about the room. Her expression was that of a cornered animal. Will was nearby, trying to calm her.

"Wait, calm down!" Will said. "That scratch could be infected?"

"Get away from me!" Jasmine shouted. "Where's my sister?"

Sumaya ran up to her sister. "Jasmine, it's me! Don't worry, we're safe!"

"What did I tell you?!" Sumaya's words only seemed to scare Jasmine more.

"Okay!" Sumaya tried again. "Don't worry, we're not dead!"

"Better." Jasmine calmed a bit. "What's going on, Soso?"

"Soso?" Sierra interrupted, confused.

"She calls me Soso." Sumaya said quickly. "Jaz, we're at the camp."

"What's wrong with my eye?" Jasmine demanded.

"It got scratched out by a hellhound." Sumaya said. "Will you let Will examine it?" Sierra snickered, and Will shot her a dirty look. Sumaya wasn't paying attention to the two. "The wound might be infected."

"It's not." Jasmine spoke with absolute certainty. "It doesn't hurt at all."

"Okay then." Will said. "In that case, you can go. You don't have any other injuries."

"Good." Jasmine's eye flashed back to Will. Sierra could tell she didn't trust him.

Looking at the scar running over Jasmine's eye, Sierra had a hard time believe it wasn't infected. It was cleaned up, of course, but it still looked bad. Dried blood stains were still specked around the wound. The scratch went right through the middle of where her eyeball would be. The socket was empty, and Sierra didn't even want to know what happened to the eyeball. It was red and looked gross. Jasmine carefully put a soft velvet eyepatch over her empty eye socket.

Thank goodness, that wound looked so gross. Sierra thought with relief.

Jasmine cracked a weak smile. "I suppose it looked pretty grotesque."

Sierra flinched guiltily. "Sorry if i was staring."

Jasmine didn't say anything. Sumaya broke the awkward silence.

"Could you show us around the camp?" She asked.

Sierra smirked. "I'll take you to my friend Annabeth. She showed me around, actually, just 2 days ago."

"Sounds cool!" Sumaya looked thrilled.

"I'll see you st dinner and at the campfire tonight, though." Sierra told the sisters.
