Prologue
It was another day in the land of eternal suffering, and the acid rain pounded the brimstone and firey ground as those who were unprotected by it's wrath wailed in pain and terror. The Pride Ring was almost quiet on every street, sidewalk, and suspicious alleyway... All except for one particular Hotel, that is...
"Nifty! Could you get the door please?" I asked in frustration, cleaning the Hotel Lobby from Angel Dust's party that he decided to have. "Got it!" She sang erratically, and ran to the door while I muttered and let slip a few curses. "Where did Angel even GET this crap?!" I grumbled, shaking my head as I disposed of broken glass from several wine bottles. "Not lookin' so good for spidey hands, is it?" Husker inquired gruffly, leaning over his bar with a slight smirk. "Hangover or no, he's getting a stern talking to when I'm through. Where's Alastor gone?" Before Husk could answer, a loud, high pitched scream rang throughout the lobby, terrified as Nifty appeared into view with a wild look in her singular eye. "Wh-What?! What happened?!" I asked, Husker and I rushing up to the small, terrified Demon. "There's.... It's..... I saw...." she hyperventilated, tears streaming down her face. "Whoa, Whoa! Slow down kid!" Husker said, concerned. "Y-Yeah," I added, trying to calm her, "take deep breaths." Following my lead, Nifty took a shaky breath in and out as I encouragingly took her hands into mine. Once calm, she explained, "I went to open the door as you instructed, Miss Charlie, and I was shocked to see the boss himself standing there!" "Alastor? Outside in this weather?" Husk asked, raising his brow in suprise. "Yeah, that doesn't sound like Alastor...." I replied, placing a hand to my mouth in thought. "I was so happy to see him.... But the more I looked at boss, the more I began to notice that his features were..... Off....." Nifty sobbed lightly. "Off how?" I pressed, and she replied, "His glorious eyes of crimson were replaced by white scalera and glowing, purple irises. And his hair was much longer than usual! It's a Mimic, I tell you, Miss Charlie." "A Mimic?!" I asked, hearing of creatures, unlike a Skin Walker, who can accurately portray another with the intent to devour it's next victim! They came in both object, and mobile form, so it was often hard to pin point which was the real deal. Nifty nodded her head as she continued, "Only, this Mimic isn't very good... It LOOKED like the boss from skin to hair-even the ears looked the same! Yet, he had no antlers.... and he wasn't even a HE!" This confused me, as it wasn't known for a Mimic to be defective, and I raised my brow in response as Husker asked, "So just to recap, there is a female version of Alastor.?" "Yes." "Standing outside of this Hotel.?" "Yes!" "Right now?." "YES! For fire and brimstone's sake." Husker and I exchanged confused, and concerned glances with each other before looking back at Nifty in disbelief. "Don't believe me? It's still at the door, and it's asking for YOU Miss Charlie!" "M-Me?!" I squeaked, and Nifty simply gave a slow nod in response. Arming ourselves, Husk and I slowly crept toward the doors leading to the lobby-cautiously keeping watch in case it tried the handel. "Hello? Is there a Ms. Magne in?" I heard someone say on the other side of the door in a powder soft, proper English accent. This MUST'VE been Nifty's supposed Mimic! "Wow," Husk breathed, "It must be REALLY bad at it's job if it can't even imitate his annoying, staticy voice!" "Focus Husk," I ordered, "if this IS a Mimic, we can't let our guards down!" "H-Hello? I've requested to see a Ms. Charlie Magne, please? I wish to inquire her something of personal interest, if it doesn't intrude in what she's doing now." "I-I'm here... Wh-What do you need?" I replied to the young, feminine voice on the other side. "Y-You are?! Oh, JOLLY good! Would you mind opening the door for me? I-I have SO much to tell you all, and you all must be TERRIBLY confused." It said again, and carefully, I opened up the door to peer out into the darkened, gloom taken world outside. There, on my doorstep, stood a hooded figure-their face obscured and only revealing glowing irises like a ferral animal would! I jumped back in terror, nearly knocking into Husker as I said, "I've opened the door like you asked, now tell me why you want to see me." "YOU'RE Ms. Magne?! I must say you are TRULY lovely! The rumors of your beauty do not even compare, your grace." The figure said, immediately moving the cloak aside briefly to curtsy. She didn't dress for someone my age, but it wasn't like any other teen I had seen before! She had on a very modest, knee length, maroon dress with black buttons going down the front of the bodice, and her hands were shrouded in black, satin, frilly gloves that stopped at her wrist, with Amethysts on the backs of them like studs! I looked down to her shoes, and was stunned by the Tuxedo inspired, knee high wedge boots with purple ribbon as lace. She was DEFINITELY a different breed of teen, especially for someone born in the land of fire! "J-Just Charlie will suffice... and please don't bow to me!" I said, and the tiny thing straightened herself back up before quickly apologizing. "I thought it'd be respectful, since Lucifer is a king and you're his daughter..." she replied awkwardly, and from the gap she left in her cloak, I could see her right hand grasp her left arm, further proving how embarrassed she was. "No, it's fine. You didn't know, so I won't fault you for that. But seriously, who ARE you?" "I suppose we're under an awning, so I guess it's alright to let my hood down fully. This may be a bit of a shock to you, so please, feel free to ask as many questions you see fit." the young lady replied with a sigh, and reached her hands up to her hood before revealing her face..... H-Her FACE! Her glowing irises became a beautiful shade of purple, surrounded by a clean white, and she smiled a perfect set of white teeth, but her facial structure and her hair SCREAMED Alastor about her! Completely taken aback, Husker and I just stared on in shock at the young lady as she simply asked, "So..... Where should I begin?"
