After handing over some of the personal Tele-boards to Professor Sharma Aakrit took off to the Lake building.

Quasar: The Future technology *Aakrit said with a spark in his eyes and pride on his face the moment he arrived at the Lake building*

For a better future *Sam said and walked towards Aakrit as Aakrit got out of his car*

Sam! *Aakrit said heartily and hugged him*

I hope it works for a better future, for our better future *Aakrit told Sam*

It has to, it's my gut feeling brother.*Sam said as they both walked into the building*

Now as we've solved the power consumption issue, we'll start our trials tomorrow. *Aakrit told his team*

Everyone, Are we ready?*Aakrit asked with enthusiasm*

Wait! So you're telling me that your 7A chip worked? You were competent to stabilise a human-made wormhole? You're telling me that it isn't distorting anymore *Sam asked in awe*

Yes, it did, kind of...but I am yet to comprehend the details. It was stable when I powered the machine in the lab. *Aakrit told Sam and paused staring at him*

Well, after practically demolishing it.
*Aakrit said as everyone laughed*

Alright, guys, we cannot destroy anything here. We've to do it precisely to understand its properties wholly.  *Aakrit said*

I still can't infer how you manage to repel gravity? We've done trials before but the portal was compressed back and then closed every time and all of a sudden you are so confident that you wanna do the actual trial now? And How exactly do you know which part of space-time you're connecting with? *Sam said questionably*

Well, I don't have a cosmic string in my hand which could help me to dive in and then pull back. *Aakrit exclaimed*

But I do have something, Sam. However, I cannot understand all of its properties but that thing is the reason why we can do our dream project. It'll also help me to understand more about "the thing" I'm talking about. *Aakrit assured Sam*

"That thing" is what will keep our human-made wormhole open and stable with the help of this Tele-Board. *Aakrit announced to everyone*

And for your second question Sam, that is something we've to work on, so initially, we'll try to connect the space-time from the inside of this building to the outside and then eventually perhaps we can achieve it for vast space and different timelines too. *Aakrit said encouragingly*

Everyone, only because it's gonna be our first time doing the human trials, I'll do the job, I'm the only volunteer for tomorrow's trial and I don't want anyone to argue about that. *Aakrit announced as everyone gasped*

I yet have to make sure about the crucial coordinates of the Tele-Boards, if even one of them is erroneously positioned, even I don't know the consequences. That's why I've decided that I'll go. Someone has to do the trial test.*Aakrit informed everyone*

Aakrit, you know how hazardous it could be, you cannot do that. This project is nothing without you, come on. We can volunteer too, I can volunteer, I'll go... I mean...*Sam stammered whilst panicking*

Sam, relax! I know...I know what I'm doing, I can't risk anyone's life here. I understand that this trial could be dangerous but I reckon it's gonna be successful.*He said*

Sam, you've to promise me one thing brother, no matter what, you won't say a word about it to Elsa? *Aakrit urged Sam*

Aakrit but...*Sam said anxiously*

You know I can't continue lying to Elsa like this but... Ah...alright, for the last time, for the very last time *Sam sighed and hugged Aakrit*

Thank you, brother and you know what to do if... If... *Aakrit stammered and hugged him back*

You are the only person who knows why we're doing it. *Aakrit whispered to Sam*

I know and nothing's gonna happen, you're gonna jump in time, come back right here again and tell Elsa everything about it yourself. *Sam assured Aakrit*

After a while

I think we should leave now, tomorrow's a big day for us. *Aakrit said*

I am still speculating... how are you gonna managed to keep the portal open? You know how risky it could be right? If the portal closes and never opens again and OTHER things. *Sam told Aakrit*

In the vacuum of space, you know how quantum fluctuations work right? We've particles and antiparticles and it could create.... *Aakrit said*

Exotic matter, I know that and I also know that it's impossible to get access to exotic matter, at least not with our technology. *Sam mentioned*

Not with ours but who knows what the future holds *Aakrit said and walked towards his car*

What? The future? We don't even know if "the future" even exists *Sam said while walking Aakrit towards his car*

I just wanna know how you're gonna stabilise it, you know I'm worried about you *Sam said with concern*

The future, Sam, the future exists. There's a path, called a path of destiny, no matter how many times we'll get drawn away to the wrong path, our destiny will find a way to pull us right back on the right track. *Aakrit said*

That's not the answer to my question but anyway...*Sam said*

It's already too late, I gotta go now *Aakrit said and smiled*

I'll keep these Tele-boards 7A1 and 7A2 with me. A few of them actually. See you tomorrow Sam. It's gonna be a big day for us. *Aakrit said whilst smiling as he hugged Sam*

For a better future *Aakrit said and went inside his car to drive back to his lab and then finally go back home.*

He drove the car outside that area but pulled over to call Elsa.

After having a chat with her he started driving slowly as he was about to hang up the call with Elsa.

My day becomes so much better after talking to her.*Aakrit smiled while driving*

Trust me, Elsa, once it's done, you, I and the baby will live the happiest life and I promise I will be there for you and the baby.*Aakrit murmured as he reached nearby his lab*

I promise...*Aakrit was talking to himself as his car got skeeted away as he tried to dodge something approaching towards his car.

Arthur's pov :

She's still not conscious. After all, she's been through, it's quite obvious that it doesn't make sense to her anymore. I'll never break Professor Andrew's promise. I'll protect you.

I'll be...Woah! Woah! What's happening?

It's the glitch again. Professor told me that it still needs a few upgrades.

What's that? Oh no no I hope we don't get bumped with the car. *Arthur panicked*

Professor Andrews? *Arthur said when he saw that it was none other than Aakrit's car*

Professor, we're okay. I did it. *Arthur said*

He saw Aakrit come out of his Car and started saying something.

Professor, I don't understand? Why are you speaking so slowly? Don't worry though.*Arthur assured Aakrit*

Who's the girl with you? *Aakrit questioned him*

It glitched, we are fi...*Arthur didn't finish as Arthur completely vanished*

Oh! That was weird. I couldn't understand much but it seemed like he couldn't recognize his daughter? *Arthur said being perplexed*

On the other hand

Aakrit was bewildered by what he saw.

What? Where'd he go? What did I just see? What's wrong with me? *Aakrit let out nervously*

Maybe too much stress, because I didn't say anything but you as your car was about to crash and also you were taken to the air. *Mrs Presley told him politely*

Mrs Presley? What are you doing here? And who's this with you?*Aakrit asked*

I am here to give you something.*Mrs. Presley said*

Here it is and I'm Colleen, Colleen Phillips. Pleased to meet you, sir, *She said and handed over something to Aakrit wrapped in a cover*

What is it? *Aakrit asked her in confusion*

It's not about what is it, it's about why I gave you that? *Mrs Presley said as both Colleen and Mrs Presley walked away*

It's a really weird day, I should go and finish my work as soon as possible. *Aakrit said as he put the gift in the back seat and started driving again*

As soon as he reached his office he felt a raindrop on his head which turned out into a heavy downpour in no time. Aakrit covered his head and went inside his office. He put the gift on the table and went to the other room to put the Tele-Boards in the locker.

He put the Tele-Boards above the locker and started typing in the password. He opened the locker as he was about to put them there, and one of the tele boards started fluctuating. It dropped from his hands because of its constant fluctuation with high frequency that was increasing rapidly.

Aakrit took a step back and stared at the Tele-Board 7A1 as he was hearing some noises coming out of it.

Where did you? *Indistinct voices*

Remember you said that I... *Indistinct voices*

Re... Remember... You said that... That I...*Disrupt speech coming out of 7A1*

Remember when you said that I look familiar? Well, I just figured out why?

He saw something which appears to be a hologram of a girl talking to someone as he felt the whole room collapsing into a tesseract.
He was trying to grab something but everything was out of his reach. He sat down on the ground and tried to stay still.

What is happening? *He heard the girl whispering*

Wait, Who are you? *Aakrit saw a girl looking right into his eyes*

He tried to get up but the loud thud of something falling made him terrified as there was a storm going outside.
He saw the thunder strike falling on an electricity tower from his window as he started to feel dizzy wondering what was going on.

(Same night)
(8:45 Pm)

Aakrit unwrapped the present in a rush as his mind was overflowing with thoughts and questions of what he saw before passing out.

My wedding album? *Aakrit said in shock but got distracted as he heard a sound of something falling*

He saw a silhouette of a girl. He was waiting for her to turn around as he was walking toward her gradually.

Dad? *Hope looked behind and said as her eyes started to fill with tears*

Dad? Are you looking for your dad? How did you enter my office? Is there anyone with you? *Aakrit asked her*

Hope was too stunned to speak as she saw her dad in person for the first time in her life.

Hey, are you alright young lady? I felt something really weird. And the thunder outside, I hope you're good? *Aakrit said and put his hands on her shoulders*

Hope looked at how gently he put his hands on her shoulders with concern in his eyes. She couldn't control her feelings and hugged him with all her emotions.

Hey. Why are you crying? Are you okay?*Aakrit asked politely as he patted on her back while hugging her without realizing who she is*
