Hope was trying to peek at Sam from behind that showcase being nervous about the situation of her not being able to travel back to her timeline.
She thought of telling Sam the truth because doesn't matter even if for him Hope doesn't exist in his time, he was still a scientist and on top of all that, he was Aakrit's best friend.

Hope took a step forward but heard Sam's phone ringing so she decided to hold back her urge to tell him the truth. She hid behind the showcase again and saw Sam coming out of that room whilst putting something into his pocket.

He picked up the call and said...

"I couldn't believe what just happened, I don't know what I'll say to Elsa" *He said and put the phone on speaker whilst still trying to find something*

"Even I cannot understand how it happened? How can he just disappear? Did you get any clue?" *Someone said from the other side of the call*

"Nah! Man, no clue, Aakrit disappeared yesterday, it's not even been 24 hours but this place feels untouched by any outsider feels like no one was involved. I mean there is no trace of anyone else except this pass" *he didn't finish as the man from the other side interrupted and said*

"How we're gonna live without him?" *He said being saddened*

I don't know, I miss him so much already. I wish I could find out what happened. He was working on an algorithm. Even I know just a few things about it. I wish I could talk to him one last time. *Sam said*

Hope's eyes started tearing up as she knew the exact date now. She didn't travel to Feb 8, 2019, but the day after her father disappeared, that is Feb 9, 2019.

Hope's pov

How greatly uncle Sam loved and cared for mom and dad. Even dad's colleagues respected and loved him a lot then why nobody said a word when he got blamed for being a fraud?

Hope heard them talking and knew that they were talking about no one but her dad.
Hope wiped her tears and smiled before taking a step to walk towards Sam and tell him everything.

"I wish I could talk to him one last time and ask him about the algorithm book.
Okay, I think he's dead now but at least he could have left the book in one piece" *Sam said and laughed*

Hope again stopped herself and looked at Sam being completely baffled by what he just said. She waited to hear the whole conversation before taking any decision.

"Where he's been? How he disappeared suddenly? If he's dead or not, though I wish he is, we don't care" *Sam said*

"You're right. The only regret is, he didn't leave the book in a good state" *The other guy said*

"We'll try to retrieve as much as possible and do things as per our plan." *Sam said and sighed*

What about Elsa and her unborn threat?*The other guy said*

"Why are you asking this again? We planned to kill him in his lab with the help of some of his equipment right? And...and portray it as an accident." *Sam said*

"I don't care what happened to him. I just care that he's gone. We'll attack Elsa's house and finish the matter tonight.
I don't want any mistakes." *He ordered*

"Yes sir or should I say our new Boss" *The guy said and laughed*

"Let's do it," *Sam said before hanging up the call*

Huh! Destroy the book the moment you'll read this Sam. You must be kidding Aakrit *Sam said and went inside the other room to check everything for one last time*

Hope had teary eyes, tears of rage, tears of hate and deception.
She took a step out in anger to confront Sam but disappeared suddenly.
The showcase trembled the moment she disappeared and Sam came out of the other room to see what happened and realised it was the sound of his bag that fell from the showcase.

May 12, 2042
(4: 29 pm)

Hope appeared in her original timeline and protected herself with her bag as the computers and the socket got destroyed the moment she reached there because of higher power consumption.
Hope was sitting there speechless... emotionally unstable. She couldn't believe what she saw, she couldn't believe the words she heard from someone whom she relied upon the most, whom she believed the most.

Why uncle... Uncle Sam wanted to kill dad? He...he was talking about doing something wrong with Mom tonight. *Hope said nervously*

No!No!No! Hope. You've to stop it. Think of something... Just think about it...wait! Whatever he did, he didn't succeed, that's why mom is safe here.*She said nervously*

I can't take the risk, I've to know what happened that day. I would have already know if my notebook wasn't lost. *Hope said whilst sobbing*

What have you done Uncle Sam? I trusted you the most. I always considered and respected you as my dad. I thought you'll help me with everything but now I know why you always stopped me. Why it has to be you? Why Uncle Sam *Hope said as tears were rolling down her cheeks*

My phone! He must have got the message. *Hope said nervously and quickly grabbed her phone*

The internet connection was lost because of the power cut in that area caused by Hope's experiment.
She stopped the video from sending and put the phone aside without locking it. She put everything aside, washed her face and decided to go back to the hostel and call Carina to tell her everything about Sam.

She grabbed her bag and phone without realising that the chatbox was still open and she was accidentally pressing the voice message key. Even though she didn't say anything, random audio of her walking and nearby sounds got recorded and sent to Sam.

I have to talk to her right now! *Hope said and looked at her phone*

What the hell! *She said and deleted the voice message sent to Sam*

She started walking quickly and ran inside her hostel building.

Hope! Where are you going, there's a power grid failure, it's gonna take a long time? *Her friend said as she saw Hope running towards her room*

I know, I'm pretty tired actually. I'll just sleep. *Hope said and went towards her room*

Is she okay?*someone asked*

Let her sleep *Hope's friend said and sighed*

Hope locked herself inside and started dialling Carina's number but it was switched off.

Where are you Carina*Hope said and fell asleep whilst constantly trying to dial Carina's number*

(9:45 Pm)

Hope opened her eyes and got startled by her new roommate who was looking at her.

It's okay! It's okay  *Urvashi said*

Urvashi? What are you doing here? *Hope asked*

I'm your new roommate, aren't ya excited?*Urvashi said ecstatically*

Since your Ex-Roomie went back to her city after the project submission I thought of coming here because my roommate did the same. *Urvashi said and gave her a cup noodle*

I thought you must be hungry, you didn't come for dinner. Why are you still here by the way? Everyone is going home, they'll come back for the graduation ceremony. Is your project isn't finished yet? *Urvashi asked her*

Nah! I mean, it's done, I'm...I'm here because I have to complete an internship and my family lives in Norway so... I thought it would be better to stay here and complete my internship *Hope said*

Why are you here though?*Hope asked her*

Ughhh!! I decided to go back today but the staff said it'll take 3 more days to dig those old pictures *Urvashi said and chuckled*

What old pictures? *Hope asked*

Oh! My dad used to teach here, he always talks about the Drone project he worked on with the best student-teacher team ever. I asked the staff if they still have those photos of the Drone project.
They displayed it in our annual Uni. Magazine, so I asked them and guess what? After 3 days I'll get the picture. I will present it to my dad on his birthday *Urvashi said*

Hope stopped eating...
The drone project? *She asked in shock*

Do you know Aakrit Andrews? *Hope asked*

Girl! This is the name my dad couldn't stop talking about *Urvashi said and rolled her eyes*
